Hi @punker barbie
My name is Kiki, I'm a model on a Chaturbate, room name is little_poetry. For last 2 days I have the same problem as Hotfallingdevil (i've seen her thread once i visited this site). I'm not listed on a home page, only guests can see my room on a top of homepage. Registred users finding me on 30+ pages even tho I have 3-5k viewers. This is a huge problem for me I dont know why it happened, CB support doesn't answering me so I decided to state my problem here. I hope someone here can help me, because its really frustraiting knowing that you got shadow banned, but dont know the reason..

With love, Kiki

A good improvement on the rating system would be thumb up very 24 hours , but thumb down every 7 days ( because why would you tip a model the next day if you gave her a thumb down).

And the new system about not appearing on the home page with bad rating, maybe not a popular opinion , but i like it.
There always used to be (mostly new) models with 1000+ viewers and when i went to that room i could see no reason at all why there would be so many.
It always gave the feeling something was manipulated (fake traffic ???)
These rooms now disappear really fast and more quality rooms stay on top.
What we are complaining about is threshold. Or at least that's what I'm complaining about.

Not everyone votes. So, it either should be mandatory after the first 25 tokens tipped or this system shouldn't be in place the way it is.
Say a model who is just starting out gets two votes and ONLY two votes in a 90 period. One is thumbs up and one is a thumbs down. That gives her a rating of 50%. Doesn't mean she shouldn't be higher up in the rank.

I just looked at my TU: Up/Down -- no one voted for four consecutive days. Plenty tipped 25 or more in those days.

Do you think the feedback system is more likely to be overlooked, unless a viewer has a negative experience?
In the room I frequent, it seems that new or occasional viewers who have tipped >25 leave satisfied, and don't think (or care) about leaving a rating - the exception being regs though?

Since we can only kinda sorta guess who may have voted by looking at who did tip over 25+ tokens, I really can't answer that. Sometimes people leave messages that give clues to who they are or outright say their name in the message, but it's not very often and probably would really be appreciated by models if people did as such. Doesn't have to be a novel.

The secondary issue of this thread is that rooms are being dropped to page 30 or below when they DON'T have a bad rating.

I would like to see the anonymous nature of CB's rating systems done away with. Let models see who is giving them thumbs up, thumbs down, or neither.

Sooooo.... just an update.
Little_Poetry back to 95.01% (rounded to 96%) - back on the front page instead of 30+.
CB support denied this was the reason... maybe it's just a coincidence...

Well, it will not last long, people saw she is back on the first page, users came, sent 25 tokens, voted down and left LOL
I mean, what can you do....
If you're really looking for an answer to what she can do to prevent thumbs down: She needs to make it more clear about what she does and does not do in her ticket shows. A lot of her thumbs down are because people expect to see more nudity in the ticket show. They don't get it and they're disappointed.

Boundaries are important and she should continue to respect the boundaries she set for herself. But if she wants better ratings, she needs to make it clear that she doesn't get fully nude, even in ticket shows.

Yes, we are aware. The ticket show will say (NO PUSSY) or (Panties stay on) or something. People join, show your pussy. No? Thumbs down haha
People are just idiots haha

It's true 😅 People generally are idiots. And unfortunately most men with a hard dick aren't stopping their stroke to read the description.

In my shows, when I really want them to read something, I set it as an overlay on my video. That way it's right in their face, just under my cheeks 🤭. Maybe she could try a video overlay?

That's a good suggestion. Thanks. I will let her know.

I looked around page 28/29 and there are a number of models there with 3-figure viewerships and satisfaction ratings between 95 and 96%. Something is really off.
Once a model falls below a cutoff due to new downvotes they can really drop into a hole..

hotfallingdevil currently has 139 upvotes and 8 downvotes for a rating of 139/(139+8) = 0.9424
To raise herself up to 0.95 she would need 13 more upvotes: 152/(152+8) = 0.9500

Given that some of her likes are older than her downvotes, they will age off faster and put her deeper in the hole, or at least counterbalance new likes.
And if she's dropped 30 pages she's less likely to replace upvotes from non-regular visitors.

It would seem advisable to promote likes frequently, don't take them for granted.

From CB's perspective, maintaining a front page of all highly rated rooms is beneficial to their bottom line. But I agree that the current formula is unreliable, dirty, manipulable, and generally unfair.

I do think they have expanded the front page that gray users see up to 120 or so, and are including more models with fewer visitors, which may mean they are placing more value on tokens spent or some other metric. Of course any change they make will create winners and losers, at least they could make it known that they are making changes so people won't be blaming their IP, lighting, costume, camera, bad breath, or weather.

I would suggest to limit downvotes to one per person per room. If you have a bad experience in a room, vote it down and move on. Giving more downvotes is just plain bullying.

Too long, too boring. Again. Sorry.

I think it's a stupid system and I pay it absolutely zero mind when visiting a new room.
The whole idea that anyone with tokens could go to a random models room, drop 25 tokens and downvote a models career while on a drunken rage is wild to me.
SCs method is better IMO. There is no rating a "model" or "room" overall, you just rate/review private shows from that model only.
And just in case I had the time, tokens and hate to buy multiple privates just to try to tank a rating, each new rating/review I leave replaces the last one. I could vote dozens of times, but it only counts my most recent.
1 user = 1 vote is how it should be. You can change your vote at anytime but you're still only worth 1 vote.

When I see a brigade of downvotes, this is what I think of...
“If you have enemies, good, that means you stood up for something.”

:wait::wait::wait: I wonder if CB had a change of heart, if a coding error was corrected, or it is magic...
I just noticed that hotfallingdevil is streaming so I thought I would check to see if I could find her, and she was on the front page in the spot @cbhours info says she should be. (still with a 139/8 score)

If you're not following the model is on the top of page 1 - great new people can find her.
If you're following the model then who cares what page she is on, she is on the top of your follow list.

Doesn't seem like an issue.

CB Hours has said that the API uses the same view as if you were not logged so she would appear higher.

139-8 would be 94.56% so her room would still be dropped in the site ranking.

The point is that I was logged in, and I follow the room...and it was not on my 'Following' page, it was on the main page.

Sometimes the scores can be slightly deceiving. The satisfaction score / votes can update, however, it is not synced to the rankings at the same time....no idea how often or when the rankings are synced. But it is not instant.

Therefore, a model can start the stream on 96%, then midway through it updated to 95%, but they stay on their original 96% rating...at least for a few hours.
