These days, everything is subscription-based, and I really mean everything seems to be.
So I am curious, what are some that you ALWAYS like to pay for, without a doubt?
Which ones do you WANT to buy but never (or rarely) do because you don't end up using them as much, or it doesn't have much good content (games, apps, tv shows, movies, etc) on.
And which ones do you REFUSE to buy - for whatever reason?

Netflix I get free with my phone contract (standard, no way am i upgrading to remove ads).
I had a 3-month trial for YouTube Premium and man, i really did love that, but it's something I won't pay for.
Spotify, I always pay for, that is ALWAYS a yes from me, unless it gets TOO high in price.

I had free Disney multiple times with my phone contracts (12 months each time) and they are not something I ever end up watching, so definitely no for me.
Amazon Prime is always fantastic, but again, I don't order enough stuff or watch enough things on there to feel the want or need to pay for premium. And I prefer Spotify to their music, so not worth it.

I do have a subscription for a clothes website, it's £10 for unlimited free next-day delivery, which lasts for 12 months, so it's a no-brainer - absolute bargain, and I do use that a lot.

I don't think there are any others I want, especially streaming services.
Oh, I did recently get Telegram premium but that was to stop scammers constantly harassing me - otherwise i never would have.

HAVE:
Youtube TV is our "cable". Plus we add on the NFL package every season.

Peacock (I'm a nut for Bravo shows, it's the easiest place to get them all.)

Netflix.

Spotify.

SiriusXM for both of our cars. (I hate how $ it is tho, every year it goes up too)

Twitch Turbo.

Amazon Prime. (We share one)

Definitely King Martis videorankpro

A bunch of other clip work stuff like Wondershare Filmora, clipping magic, pixlr etc etc

OPB (just because I feel bad about the whole Trump thing)
Youtube add free
Disney
Peacock
Prime
Hulu
Espn
Envato

Amazon fresh grocery

and probably another 15 things I can't recall off the top of my head.

Oh yeah a random guy's blog, I've never actually read, but been a paying sub of for going on 3 years now too 🤦‍♀️
I get fomo, but tbh I rarely spend more than 45 mins a week watching TV, so they are for everyone else in the house.
I'm paying for the delusion of really having my finger on the pulse of what's up in the world haha.

I did Pandora (music) for years, but then they changed their algorithm and UI, and I hated it. So dropped them.

Oh yeah and Wall Street Journal, so I can feel all fancy and businessy.
I would guess I have somewhere between 20 and 30 monthly subs. I mean I'm helping world economies here, right
?

Virgin TV (for full sports package)
Spotify
Disney+
Amazon Prime
Netflix
C4+

I rarely watch Netflix though 😕

Welp if I'm 100% honest, other people pay for my subs.

I have one guy's log in to Peacock.
Someone gifted me MLB TV
And the stuff that is journalistic and paywalled is paid for by other consumers of that media on my behalf because I say really cool shit and they want to keep me around

I go through phases with Netflix, but i can never bring myself to pay for ITV or C4 premium. I love Netflix mostly for documentaries, especially crime ones - or lately been watching the Train Wreck episodes, which are great.
I am unsure if i'd buy Netflix, i always have it as a "free" options in my contract for my smartphone.

C4 have some really good documentaries- currently hooked on ‘24 Hours in Police Custody’ 😊 and if I’m binging it’s definitely worth the £3.99 p/m to remove the ads…

I always watch that as soon as it comes out so I have seen them all, i really like them a lot.
I used to enjoy the comedy panels, but I feel they have become weak and not funny anymore. Googlebox is really the only other thing I watch on C4 (and the celebrity version).

Gogglebox is great. C4 on a Friday night used to be ace but I never seem to tune into it anymore…

Honestly, the first 5 or 6 seasons of Gogglebox, I was dead set against it and thinking I would hate it. I really judged it like "why the hell would I want to watch others watch crap?" This show will suck". Then I was bored one day, this came on tv, and i watched it and actually liked it, now I really like it ever since.

I saw the new Trainreck Storm Area 51 tonight, that was hilarious. I never even heard of it, I have no idea wheer I was in 2019 to never see/hear of this global meme haha

I pretty much limit my subscriptions to streaming. I'm pretty frugal when it comes to physical purchases, and live too far from civilization for any sort of shopping subscriptions to be worthwhile. However, I do have a lot of streaming subscriptions.

My biggest subscription is the Disney+/Hulu/Max bundle, which I find to be a pretty okay value for the money for three big services. My most-used subscriptions are definitely Youtube Premium and Amazon Prime. I definitely get my dollars' worth from them, especially since they both include other benefits for the subscription price.

Then, there's just a bunch of random stuff, bought into as an impulse purchase, mostly because of they offer annual subscriptions, where I can toss them fifty bucks, and be set for a year. Really, it's anything that gives me access to obscure, low-budget, forgotten, and indie stuff, which bigger services avoid. Right now, it's Peacock, Nebula, Night Flight Plus, Cultpix, AMC+, Troma NOW, Full Moon Features, and some subscription add-ons through Prime -- MGM+ and Starz bundle, Crunchyroll, HiDive, Retro Crush, Shout!TV, and Midnight Pulp.

Aside from Stranger Things, I've never gotten into anything offered by Netflix -- definitely not to the tune of nearly $20 a month, with no added benefits. I used to subscribe to a lot of wrestling stuff, but now it doesn't feel as necessary as it was a few years ago. AEW and WWE are both available through big services, and tons of indies are on Youtube.

In the past, I've sub'd to creators I like through Patreon, and models on Onlyfans and Fansly, but nothing currently.
