what are the options for a studio model on SC to go independent on SC ? It appears like two options exists (1) Retain the old studio account and detach it from the studio (2) Get a fresh start as an independent model with a new account. Can someone elaborate on these two options and what the risks are. Ideally would like no to minimum downtime between the switch. Note : It is likely the existing studio will not be cooperative.

1. Isn't going to happen without the studio cooperating

2. Is a maybe it depends if the studio has that thing...what's it called....uh...I don't remember it's like a cool down period or something

Edit: found it: some studios may have a specific protection period. During this period, detachment from the studio is possible only from the Studio side, even if the model account account was registered by the model and was previously independent. Also, it will not be possible for the models to create new accounts during the protection period.

The question is.. Did you sign any agreement or contract with the studio? If yes, you will need to read it and see what it says about separation.

If not, make an independent account and let support know because most of the time what I see is studios getting models that try to leave banned and SC lets this happen over and over with no repercussions at all to the studios.

Thank you for the response, So basically will be it be ok if the model attempts to create a new account and send in documents and if that fails for some reason will the studio account be affected in any way ?

If they approve theindependent account, the studio account will be disabled. Models are only allowed to have one account.

Is that studio protection rule still enforced ?
I know a rule like that would be illegal in some (most ?? ) countries.

🤷‍♂️ As of the end of 2024 it was still a feature on stripchat, I would never be involved in signing up for that or assisting a studio in signing up for that because I don't agree with such programs so I have very limited knowledge on the subject.
