Air and water come first. Minor correction, but worth noting.

Air
Water
Food
Shelter
Sexual release

Hierarchy of needs.
If anyone wants to take that single thought further and deeper, check out Maslow's Hierarchy of needs. You might find it interesting/ helpful.
Yes obviously you are right .. but I didn't mentioned air and water becoz it's always provided by nature and for early humans there shelter was usually caves or forests .. but even for ancient humans, they have to strive for food and then sex .. and on lighter note since language was not available for them, the first expressions of language must be sexually moaning (ohhh, àaah etc) 😋 .. so you can say that languages started by sexual activity 😎

Deleted my entire menu, recreated it, recreated my notices with different graphics and a different color scheme for things. Let's see if it shakes things up. I'm bored. So they must be bored, too.

ETA: And it just paid off. WOOT.

You know it's time to sort your file system when your working directory structure is new/new new/new new new 😂

Why are cell phones so blessed expensive? I just need a phone that works and doesn't cost a single house payment!!! (But that phone must be a Samsung S series phone, 24 or higher.) Even through a phone plan it's insane.

Yep it drives me nuts. Even before the era of the smartphone, the steady release of new designs, new features etc prompted people to upgrade regularly as a statement.
I can recall buying one of the first Nokia 8850's sold in London on release (must've been around the late 90's) and people would just ooh and aah over the size, brushed metal case and whatever.
So I guess the ability to charge stupid amounts for the latest gadget has been there for a while.
I'm an Apple user, but couldn't believe the price (not far off AU$4k, about US$2.5k) when I checked out the iPhone 17 Pro max recently. Guess I'll hang in there with my old iPhone 13 until it expires.
I've paid much less for cars before - and they've lasted longer

I'm at that stage where nothing works anymore and all of the apps are like "your security and OS suck. Won't open or work anymore." So I need something running Android 12 or higher but without a phone plan. Because I can't afford to add another monthly bill to the mix right now with everything else I already pay for, but I also don't have $800 laying around to throw at a phone. The "cheaper" phones are well...garbage. Just so damn frustrating.

I was just walking my dog (on a leash) through a residential area, when this huge unrestrained Rottweiler raced up and attacked her on the sidewalk.
It all happened so quickly, but instinct to save her took over and I just dived in and punched the Rottweiler in the head until it dropped her, and I chased it off.
Could've gone very differently, but luckily it didn't.
While I was checking my dog over, the Rotty's owner emerged from his garage, and had the nerve to yell at me and complain that my dog had caused it all, and he was going to call the cops because I had 'attacked' his dog.
I just couldn't believe it. My dog is a happy little 3 yr-old Dachshund, completely harmless, and this boofhead had a dangerous aggressive dog off the leash in his front yard, and somehow it's my fault?

Many times I have found myself at my wit's end with the heavy weight of all that is happening globally. Shit's heavy, man. Through deleting sm apps, meditation/grounding, and therapy, I've had to try and refocus on only those things I have a direct affect upon. I'm spinning in battle between my 'need to know' and 'self-preservation.'

I say this to remind myself that I am in charge of my mind, my social interactions, my information intake, and ultimately, my moment-to-moment well-being. Also, i hope none of you have internal battles currently raging, but if you do, I believe in you and your ability to come out on top. And if you need it, I'm here.

the yoga with adriene youtube channel is the only thing keeping me going lol. that and legal weed.

that and legal weed.
Amen.
Whoops, I meant Awomen 😆
I destress by fighting back. It never helps me much to talk about stuff. Ironically. I wanna just get straight to burning through it.

I think I'm in the minority on that, though.
5 hours and 13 minutes to go... 😆
Some types of yoga and breathwork are great, ime! Very effective for me. Highly recommend restorative yoga, and mobility work.

I grew up in a time when we were all terrified about "Alsatians". Maybe it only works on Alsatians.
I had to google that word.

German Shepherds, to us usa'ers :D

I already know by the thumbnail that this guy is going to recommend ramming your finger up it's ass to the third knuckle. I'm no Dr Dolittle but I'm not sure that is going to have the effect he's hoping for.

A few months back I had a video from a creator who got viciously attacked by two dogs show up on my feed. It led me to going down a rabbit hole on how to protect yourself if attacked by a dog or other animals. There was A LOT of people saying to ram your finger up a dog’s butt if you’re being attacked. Like, I truly don’t know if this is just an internet thing or if there’s some truth to it, but if I’m being mauled by a dog the last thing I’m going to think about is doing that. Hopefully my cats will be around and be heroes like that one cat who protected a little girl from a dog attack by chasing it off.

On the subject of animal attack/survival knowledge, I think it’s actually kinda funny how black bears are basically huge, scaredy cat raccoons. Still don’t want to come face to face with one while hiking, but the vast majority of stories I’ve heard about them are of them wreaking havoc when trying to get food, but then running away as fast as possible when they see a human watching them be stupid.

I fucking can’t stand irresponsible dog owners! 😡 I’m so sorry you and your dog had to deal with that.
