Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some guidance and hoping to get some insight regarding a recent situation with my account.

I’m a male model who has been working on Chaturbate for over 5 years without any major issues. I’ve always made a strong effort to follow the platform’s rules and maintain a professional environment. Throughout this time, I have never experienced a ban—only a few minor warnings in the past for situations like briefly leaving the camera unattended.

On April 16th, my account was suddenly banned. I did not receive any prior warning or email explaining the reason. The only indication I have is the message shown when trying to log in, which states: “Discussion of illegal and unsafe actions.”

Based on my understanding, this may have been triggered by something I said during a private chat conversation with a friend (who is also a model). The conversation was informal and joking in tone, and I used a word that, when taken out of context, can be interpreted very seriously ("rape"). It was not directed at anyone, nor was it part of any real or harmful intent—just an unfortunate choice of wording in a private exchange.

I fully understand the sensitivity of such language and take responsibility for that mistake. At the same time, I want to clarify that there was no harmful intent, no promotion of unsafe behavior, and nothing related to my public broadcasts.

What concerns me the most is:

  • This is my first ban in over 5 years on the platform
  • I have not received any email or formal explanation
  • I contacted support immediately, and it has now been over a week without any response
As this platform is an important part of my income, the lack of communication has been extremely stressful.

If possible, I would greatly appreciate any guidance or insight from experienced members of this community. In particular, I would be very grateful if @AmberCutie @punker barbie might be willing to share their perspective or advice, as I understand they have significant experience with similar situations. Any input or direction you could provide would truly mean a lot to me.

If anyone else has gone through something similar, I would really appreciate hearing:

  • How long support took to respond in your case
  • Whether situations like this tend to be temporary or permanent
  • If there are any effective ways to follow up or escalate
Thank you all in advance for taking the time to read this. I sincerely hope to resolve this situation and continue working while fully respecting all platform guidelines.

Best regards.

Hi, I'd suggest that you read this post.

Just to clarify, it doesn't matter where it happened (public, pm, dm, pvt show, pw show)--"private" interactions are monitored just the same as "public" ones and the same rules apply to both.

Regarding your concerns:
  • It doesn't hurt to have a good long lasting account but it's not a major factor on the outcome.
  • Support never notifies you about a ban appart from the notice you get when you log in.
  • They usually take between a couple of days and a couple of weeks to respond. It's uncommon, but they can take longer sometimes.
About your questions:
  • If the context backs up that it was a joke and that you weren't discussing actual 'rape', then I'd think your ban will be lifted with a warning.
  • There's no way to escalate. You already tagged the rep, so they'll let you know when your case is set up to be reviewed.
Wish you luck.

Thank you for taking the time to explain all of this, I really appreciate it.

I completely understand now that the rules apply the same way to both private and public interactions, and I take full responsibility for what happened. It was never my intention to discuss or promote anything inappropriate — it was a poorly worded joke in a private conversation with a friend, and I understand how that can still be taken seriously under the platform’s policies.

This is my first ban after more than 5 years on the platform, and I’ve always tried to follow the rules and maintain a professional environment in my room. That’s why this situation has been very concerning for me.

It gives me some relief to hear that in cases like this, context can be considered, and that there’s a possibility it may result in a warning rather than a permanent outcome. I truly hope that’s the case here.

I’ll remain patient while waiting for support to review my case, and I’ll definitely be much more careful moving forward to avoid anything like this again.

Thanks again for your insight and honesty.
