There is a well known capper who is discussed on here withe seen first hand the dismay regularity, CamGirlLover

I have been modding for some time for a number of girls on chaturbate and have seen first hand the dismay and upset this fella causes.

I have been collaborating with some models on how to defeat this capper and hopefully stop him in his tracks

We came up with a solution which appears to work at least for chaturbate streams

I am loathe to post the solution publicly since I don't want to give notice that may provide a reason to circumvent this measure

If anyone cares to PM me I will give them the method, which does still need some testing, especially on streams other than chaturbate

It is a solution that costs nothing so I am not looking for any reward for this. It is simply a small change in the way that you do your shows and hopefully his video capping starts to dry up

If the forum thinks it is better to publicly post the method, I will of course do so

hey hello you can contact me in pm to let me know what is this method for not being registered anymore by those sites chaturbatemales.com [site name banned*10] [site name banned*11] etc...

in teh models only probably.

Just so everyone is aware. There is no 100% way to stop getting your shows capped and posted. You can try and be mostly successful but you're gonna end up finding stuff of yours basically no matter what you do.

This is 100% true but certain cappers can be defeated. at least temporarily

Yup, even really boring stuff. It's crazy how even after no longer doing public shows I still see caps of me just hanging out chatting and doing sod all on cam. The kind of stuff that's only fun to watch if you're watching it live.

Don't worry. Your method doesn't work and it will stop nothing.

No, they can't. You realize a capper doesn't have to be signed into the site to record, right? In fact they don't even have to have the site open, or even an internet browser open to record the stream. Your method can't stop that from happening.

In other words, if I wanted to, I could record a chaturbate stream without loading the chaturbate web page at all. Can your method prevent me from recording a stream given that fact?

The only proven method of stopping someone from recording a models streams is for the model to not get on cam in the first place.

There is a method for cb and mfc in the internal section that so far keeps the upstore recording bot out.

To the op, if your method here uses the "limitcam" feature of cb to block anonymous viewers, this is not new.

I think most model's are well aware that we are being recorded at all times when we get online, dude. It's an occupational hazard. If you don't want your body or face on the internet forever, don't become a cam model. That's silly. These models you speak of need to understand and accept that there's little we can do to stop being recorded, but we can have any content that's reuploaded without permission taken down with DMCA requests.

Tell these ladies to get a logo, have it copyright protected, always have it in their background and play copyright protected music on cam. This is the most effective method to stop recordings from being uploaded.

On top of that, Chaturbate has a plethora of white label sites that use screenshots and recorded shows from cb whether you like it or not because they are affiliated with cb. In my opinion, if these girls are that upset over some low quality screencaps getting reuploaded off the main site, they should use a site that does not have white label sites using model content from the main site without their knowledge. Myfreecams is a good place to start, I believe.

It's about reducing exposure just like a region block. Is a region block a perfect solution and impossible to bypass? It is not. Is there still a good use for it? Yes, there is.

Also these guys (or that guy) is making money with our shows. Personally I don't like that.

On chaturbate you can opt out of appearance on network sites, but these sites are a completely other thing and are not related to the auto capping sites.

What is wrong in looking for solutions for not getting recorded for girls who are interested in it? If girls are fine with being recorded, just don't use any of it. Simple.

Er, yes it does, it's been tested on chaturbate

Also I am quite well aware that a browser doesn't have to be used, I have actually examined certain code that is used

It is a method of working, a change in pattern, not any code or plugins or other app restrictions

That's incredibly naïve, frankly. This is the internet. You can't control who is and isn't watching or finding you online.

See some articles about being "outted" or doxxed as a camgirl. It's not a matter of IF you get found out by people you don't want to know about your works it's WHEN. It's inevitable in the vast majority of cases. Your friends, family, neighbors, etc. WILL find out what you're doing. If you're not ready for the consequences of that, don't start camming until you are.

Geoblocking isn't going to protect your camgirl life forever. You can try and put off being discovered by your real life connections, but it's going to happen eventually. Even if they don't know what site you are on or your cam name, people are still going to find out you're doing a form of porn which is sexwork. I'm sure you know sexworkers are not accepted by society the way that a banker or other conventional job is.

It's just my opinion that it's a waste of energy worrying about your "exposure" in this industry. You're putting your naked parts on the internet for money. Exposure is kind of the point. More exposure tends to translate to more money.

Also these guys (or that guy) is making money with our shows. Personally I don't like that.

I'm not sure what kind of shows this entity is recording, but it's not going to make a killer profit regardless. Hours of low resolution footage of a chick with a lush sticking out of her lady bits is not that interesting. Guests and basics (muted or not) can still see what you're doing on cam without paying. If you're doing a countdown, anyone can have a seat and wait for the tipping members to meet that goal and enjoy the same show the tippers are enjoying, free. That's just how token sites work. The hope is that those freeloaders change their ways and buy tokens or whatever, but it rarely works out like that.

You're going to be recorded whether you're live streaming on a camsite, twitch, YouTube, YouNow, omegle, periscope, etc. It doesn't matter where you are online or what you do, you won't stop that from happening. That's why people are saying the method doesn't work. In the long run, it won't.

ANOTHER THING - Chances are, your shows are not 4k ultra HD with constant high quality adult entertainment. Very few people are going to pay to see a pixelated screencap of you waiting for chat replies, more tips, etc. Sorry, but your recordings are not that special or unique. Very few, if any people, are going to pay any amount for that content.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm under the impression that we live in a booming free porn culture where extremely high quality, expensive productions are completely free for just about anybody to watch without even making an account on sites like Pornhub. Ad revenue and traffic profit on those sites make the majority of their money, not paying members.

I personally feel like these models are overreacting for recorded shows being uploaded elsewhere. That's just my opinion.

I am trying to leave a realistic perspective here for any new models who might read this. You cannot stop recordings or people reuploading your stuff. You can't remove those recordings without using DCMA requests, logos, copyrighted music, etc. Plain and simple. Even then, most of the time, when you have 10 pieces of content removed, 20 more are uploaded. Thats just the way it is.

Yes, risk and exposure reduction. It's what this is about.

There are many, many threads about the auto recording bots. So apparently it IS a concern of performers. Just saying, don't cam then is too simple in my opinion, when there are methods to reduce it. Yes, reduce it, not make it disappear it completely, because that is impossible and comes with the job.

Using your real name is 100% different than not region blocking. Not sure how you can't see that.

Because people are different. Some performers might not even have problems using their real names, while others of course have huge problems with it. Some have zero problems getting recorded every second the cam goes on, while it gives others an uncomfortable feeling.

I don't see the disadvantage in looking for methods to reduce getting recorded in public chat all the time. Performers who don't have a problem with it are not negatively affected by it in any way.

Sure you can reduce it. Maybe. But you will never be able to stop it. Being recorded is something all cam models have to deal with and is basically part of the job. People knowing your real name is not. Even the method going around in MO isn't going to stop girls being recorded and I want new models to know there is no fool proof way to stop it and is part of being a cam model.

Why even use a cam name then and not your real name?

Because cammodels should realize an image/recording out there isn't as pinpointing as a name, which can lead an online stalker directly to your door. A lot of models who use their "real name" or "real location" don't. They claim they do, but only as a decoy. If you region block and someone uses a vpn, then they can actually MORE easily figure out what area you live in.

There are other reasons to not want shows recorded/capped. If they get posted elsewhere people may tip less if they can get it for free. One "good" thing about it is it can work as advertising if the camname of the model is given. If you don't want to risk your image getting out, then don't get on cam in the first place. Camsites have rights to your image and can (and will) post your image on other sites for advertisement (this is actually how I first got outed to some close friends of mine.)

And I never said otherwise. I just used the extreme real name example, because people just have a desire for different levels of feeling comfortable. If it gives someone a better feeling to only have every third public cam (random number) being recorded, fine with me, I understand and respect it.

Did you not read WHY I'm not posting it publicly
Yes I did and in my opinion that's always a poor answer. I've seen similar things in the I.T. world many times.

All that means is the privileged few might get some information to help but others who might need it are excluded. Not all models are verified on this site, and not are models are even aware of this site. So by limiting the range of information, assuming it's even good information, you are excluding it from models that might benefit from it. That hurts the models more then it impacts the cappers.

Security through Obscurity is not Security.

Note: I'm not trying to be combative or start an argument. I just simply disagree with you on this.

I’ve been using geo-blocking for a while after having two different locals (guys I used to be friends with) freeload in my public chat room...blurt out personal shit...and expect freebies just because they know me.

You may consider geo-blocking pointless or a waste of time, but - for what I am using it for - I do not. And I’m certainly not gonna discourage other models from using it when it could be beneficial for them as well. It’s simply a personal preference...totally optional. A LOT of models use it, and even on this forum models and members are often recommending people use it, in certain situations, with a reminder that nothing is 100% guaranteed.

I use it for within my chat room, and from what I’ve observed over the years, it’s been effective for me. If some assclown (or automated software or whatever) decides to record and post my shit elsewhere...hey, ain’t a whole lot you can do to stop that. *shrugs*

Everything else you posted, though, is on point.

from another similar thread but my two cents..

Yah Ive found this happening.. CB offers DMCA take downs through support.. I was going through this, finding all the sites hosting my clips or pics, emailing them to CB support and having to wait 30 days for the take down to be issued.. but personally the time spent doing this every week isn't worth it to me anymore... the way I see it is the majority of the people whole will go the lengths to find your material off site would tend to be lurkers in the room trying to get a free nut anyways; those that actually tip Id say 95% of the time actually want the human interaction that comes with it, something a recording can't provide.

Ryuki22, there is not only the financial dimension. I agree that I don't think I suffer from it financially.

If thinking you aren't being recorded when you are makes you feel better then more power to you. I just don't want new models to stress super hard about stopping it when there is no fool proof way of stopping it other than not being on cam. Region block block whatever users you want you are still being recorded. I can guarantee almost every show a model does is recorded in someway. I've found caps of myself from a couple times I was just testing my new cam out for 5 minutes.
