    I'd give Steam another try and do some different searching. There are lots of games on there that aren't war or fantasy mmos. Check out Life is Strange, it's a series and is very dependent on player choice. Great graphics and just a wonderful story in general.

    I really recommend getting a Steam account if you are going to PC game. Lots of great games and you can easily move to a new computer when the time comes. Just check their casual gaming category for a TON of games that you might like.
