Hello @punker barbie -

My username is nwih2018,. The morning of January 1, I logged on to find that my account was mysteriously banned, without explanation. I went through the process of submitting a ticket and a week later I still haven't heard anything. It's been a week with no response. So I think it's an appropriate time to get out the big guns (you, of course). Your help would be appreciated. From what I see, it looks like you have your hands full. So anything I can do to facilitate it, please let me know.

Thank you in advance -
Nash (or so I go by on CB...)

P.S. To anyone else, since this is my first post here, a quick intro. I've been a sporadic lurker on this site for years, mostly when I was just a purveyor of cam sites, but liked knowing the behind the scenes... what models talk about, what the experience is really like, and so on. This past year, I decided to get into camming, myself on CB. The first hand experience is pretty fascinating, as I link what I see with what I've mostly only read about happening to other streamers. But at the moment, as you saw above, that first hand experience has come to a screeching halt. But I digress...

I got a response form CB today. I did reply to the original autoreply to my initial request. Whether it was that, intervention by @punker barbie, or just a coincidence, I am not sure. But I am grateful for her presence here and answering broadcasters' concerns.

CB suspended me for "engaging in discussion of children or minors." The only possible instance I can think of was when a member in passing said that she had a 16 year old child. I didn't say anything about her kid after, nor did I ask about kids before. So if this is the violation, how am I supposed to deal with this so I don't get suspended or banned? I have been very sensitive to the issue of minors. Twice I banned and reported members who foolishly admitted to being under 18.

If that really is the culprit, it's a shame that you were punished for the comment (innocently) made by a user in the room. If anything the user should have been warned about it. But apparently you likely should have banned them for even merely mentioning this, maybe even reported them (which I find kinda silly to go to that length to avoid a ban as a broadcaster but seems that's commonplace.)

Let us know what the outcome of this is.

I'll defintiely let you know. I replied with a gentle inquiry for clarification. Till I find out for sure, I will have to use very indirect language to explain to people why I was banned... "I was banned because a member mentioned her close relative whose genetics come 50% from her and 50% from her husband, and has experienced all 4 seasons fewer times than the first iphone..."

BTW I'm honored to get a reply from you on my first day. Thank you for running this forum here for everyone.

Thank you @punker barbie . Maybe it's because it's the weekend or it just takes time, but I asked support for clarification, without a reply yet. I inquired as to why they think I was disccussing minors, and how to deal with when the member mentions them (see above comments on what I think the problem was).

Thanks - Nash

Okay, I finally got clarification.

Thankfully, a member mentioning they have a 16 year kid wasn't the cause for the ban. Though, based on CB's restrictions on discussiing minors, it could be. The rule says "Engaging in any discussion of children or minors is strictly prohibited. This includes all references, descriptions, or conversations involving individuals under the age of 18, whether presented in a serious, joking, casual, or suggestive manner." (emphasis mine) Saying "I have a 16 year old daughter" qualifies.

That said, they reviewed the offense, and it was a joke comparing being clean-shaven to being underage. Sounds like a reference to a joke I've given when asked about being shaven or not - I would comment that I am not shaven (sorry, TMI), because I don't want to look like an 11 year old boy. Still seems excessive, but I get it. At least it's not as bad as what I thought it was.
