Hi, wondering if anyone (model or not model) has any info or recommendations to share on specifically action cameras?
I'm kind of comparing Insta360s to Gopros. This is mainly for making videos, not so much for live stream.

I make a lot of fetish clips, and I often need a camera that can get into small, awkward places, but still shoot clear footage.
Sometimes in a little lower light conditions.
Needs to be a camera that is independent ie doesn't need to be plugged into a desktop, so I can catch footage outside, when travelling etc.

My budget would be up to about $600. I'm not looking to go past that right now.
However, I'm also just interested in learning about DSLRs, also, so I'm open to any info anyone might want to share about those.
But keeping in mind, that they are probably, realistically, out of my current budget.

So far I'm liking the idea of the Insta360 X4.

Being waterproof is nice, because I'm clumsy af, but it's not a main feature I'm focused on (haha no pun intended). I don't see myself making a lot of underwater fetish content, although I guess anything could happen... I'm also not someone who will ever be getting heavy into open sea diving, snorkelling or any of that. No way! No mermaids here. Pools and lakes only. So features related to that are of little importance to me.

You might also look into the Olympus Tough camera lineup. Olympus TG5,TG6,TG7. They are all within your budget.

Thanks so much this looks really nice! I'll definitely be researching this one in more detail. Again, much appreciated 💚. I like how reviews mention crystal clear footage even in lower light conditions. Solid contender.

DJI also make an action camera (djis version of the go pro) thats should be within your budget... just to add in another option 😂

Thanks I'll give it a look. It's kinda fun comparing reviews with footage from the different cameras. On dry land.

Marti shared this w me, and it's super relevant and affects my decision-making on this a lot. I don't like this app trend for using everything through your phone. It drives me nuts. Posting here too to help others.

At this point, I'm thinking just a low end dslr might be the best decision. I still really like the look of that Olympus 7 too.

I seriously considered the Olympus series, but they just aren't built for video at the level I want. The main off putting factor for me was 15 - 20fps video. Other than that I almost got one, it has everything else I was looking for. And appears to be a better choice than most of the action cameras.

I think I'm gonna go with a Sony ZV 1. It's a bit in the higher end of what I wanted to spend, but all the other cameras that have the video specs I want are between 1 and 2 K. So comparatively speaking feels like a steal. I guess dslrs are becoming obsolete and everyone's moving to mirrorless now. The ZV 1 is not mirrorless, but shares many common features.

OK Sony zv e10 is a better choice. Same price as the zv-1, but in the long run, it takes different lenses.
This is my final decision.
There will be no more mind changing lol
Watching this guy helped me nail in my final choice.
