Advice for beginner issues would be really appreciated.

Hello everyone


I am a male model and have been broadcasting on Chaturbate for around 7 weeks now. I broadcast fully clothed and a lot of the gratitude I receive is through building respectful connections with users. I do perform nude in private or a Secret Show.

I have quite a few questions that I will number and I appreciate any advice from anyone on here.

I was very naïve to start with and received my first warning early on because I had a female model on one of my screens showing (to help keep me turned on). I have not done that since so learned my lesson.

My second warning was after a guy who I started having a laugh with asked me to perform for him on a rival site because he was not allowed to buy or spend tokens on Chaturbate. I said I had a profile on the rival site but have never used it (true) and that I only perform on Chaturbate. He persisted and mentioned CashApp and I engaged in this conversation but did not proceed. I received a warning for this quite soon after the conversation and I banned the user. I contacted Chaturbate to clarify what I did wrong and told them I was new and still learning. They confirmed it was this conversation and said I could have my account suspended or permanently banned for having multiple warnings in future (not exact wording).

I then proceeded to thoroughly read the TOC of Chaturbate. I have been very vigilant since and if any user asks me something that I shouldn't do I decline straight away. I have also put it in my bio that I only perform on Chaturbate and any requests must be allowed by the Chaturbate TOC's.

Yesterday I received a third warning stating "other offline payments are not allowed. Please limit your transactions to tokens on the site. Thank you for your understanding." What I can definitely say this time is that I did not engage in any conversation of this sort with anyone. What did happen maybe less than a minute before was a user (purple) asked me if I would consider a request. I said yes I would listen and tell him if it is something I will or won't do. He proceeded to ask me to encourage him to use an illegal substance in return for tokens. I immediately replied and said I can't do that because of what it is. He said thank you for your time and was polite. I then banned him as I was worried about a warning. Maybe less than a minute later I received the warning stated above. I was in PM with a guy at the time and there was someone in the general chat making demands but I didn't get chance to read it all because I was in PM and the warning kicked people out of the room.

I have been enjoying broadcasting and I want to create a brand and put effort into it but I have this anxiety that at any moment all this effort could be for nothing if any user decides to falsely report me or say something that is not allowed.

I never started with a new tag because when I first broadcast I wasn't sure about it because the chat went crazy and I was overwhelmed with not knowing how to use the chat system. I came back a few weeks later after talking it over with my girlfriend and started broadcasting but I used more controls over the chat (that I didn't know I could when I first broadcast and ran ha). So I started without the new tag and with consistent effort I received gratitude of around 50,000 tokens in 4 weeks but I had to work very hard at building relationships.

I have also not cashed any tokens yet as I have been building them up to cash in a bigger amount due to charges.

I run my room very well and I have regular respectful users who I have built relationships with. My concern is that I have no control over what the next user may say to me. All I can do is decline and ban / ignore. I have only had two thumbs down - one was when someone made a demand and I declined - so they tipped 25 tokens and that was my first thumbs down. The other was yesterday but they left a comment saying "the screen went black after they tipped to see private". I believe they are referring to a Secret Show I did and they didn't understand they had to tip for each extra minute.

My questions are:

1. Can a false report put my account in jeopardy or will Chaturbate ignore it if they see there is no evidence?

2. How many warnings can trigger my account being banned?

3. Have any other models on here had numerous false reports / warnings and continued to broadcast without fear of being banned? Will this be part of broadcasting? Or is it unusual to receive false reports? I see some models say they have been doing it for years but I have been doing it around 7 weeks and already had 3 warnings (2 of them correct).

4. How do I handle a user when they mention something that is not allowed to avoid a warning? There is nothing in the TOC's that advise you what to do exactly. What would be useful is if the TOC's state "when a user acts inappropriately you "must do this" to not receive a warning". After all, we can't control what other people say so once it is said we shouldn't pay any price for it.

5. Can I appeal my thumbs down from yesterday regarding the "black screen"? That was either the user not understanding the Secret Show or a connection error out of my control. The screen did not go black for me.

6. Will my tokens be safe until I withdraw them if I haven't done anything wrong, which I haven't (I have been very very vigilant since my second warning).

My girlfriend is also registered as a broadcaster on my account just in case she is heard or seen (we live together) and she is also interested in broadcasting.

7. If my girlfriend broadcasts too, whose information can I put on the Payment Information Form? If one of us does more broadcasting how does it work? What about couples, do they only put one person on the Payment Information Form? What is allowed?

8. I have googled my username and noticed some images and videos of me online, but one was from a private broadcast and it said "private" on the title. I could see my nude bum so I know it was from a private but when I click it it asks me to sign up to the site so I don't know if the full private is on there or how it got there. Any advice appreciated.

I guess my main concern is that I am enjoying broadcasting and I do it very simply and am very friendly and welcoming but should I think of this as a potential future income if any user could say or do what they want and I have to pay the price.

I think I have lost faith in it a little bit after the false report / warning yesterday and the thumbs down but I lost faith in it after my second warning and got my confidence back after a few days.

I have made one or two broadcasting friends but most are not interested when I message them to ask if they would like a broadcasting friend. I don't feel like I could ask any other broadcasters on the platform for this sort of advice.

Actually there is something you can do, in the chat settings you can enter your own choice of banned terms/frases:



Otherwise it is just report and ban them without interacting, but it seems like that is what you are doing already.

I get called "daddy" a lot so I go along with it - I also get a lot of polite users wanting me to call them the word that begins with f and ends in t - I feel uncomfortable with it but I see it being used a lot on the platform but it is not a hashtag so that tells me it might not be an accepted word.

I only report people who break the offsite payment/child porn rules. Everything else is usually not worth it as long as you ban them.

You can say daddy and be called daddy, but no roleplaying as son/father unless it's step and it's pretty tedious to remember to say step-dad/step-son.

The F slur is a no no.

But I want to give you some advice. As a model for 12 years on CB, I don't care if you see someone gaping their asshole five miles wide and riding every animal shaped dildo ever made....do not think it is okay for you to do the same. Everyone eventually falls and you really don't want to be on the receiving end of a ban.

@KingMarti may be able to offer a starter list of words for male cammers.

One thing I will say to OP though, do not store large token amounts on your account, in the event you get banned you will loose everything.

And yep, just because someone else does something, even if you see a lot of people doing it, dont assume it's fine, message support if it's not in the TOS.

Thank you for your time and reply. I will take your advice on board straight away. I will add that word to my banned words / phrases.

I certainly don't want a ban. I am trying to learn as fast as possible. I think a far more detailed introductory tool would be useful for new broadcasters. The terms are very vague on what is accepted and what is not - especially as people broadcast from so many different cultures.

Wow 12 years - do you mind me asking have you had false reports along the way? I mean have you received the pop-up warnings regularly even though you did nothing wrong? Or users purposely trying to get you into trouble? I just think it is so easy for a user to report a room or say something really bad and we have no control over it. I understand if you don't wish to answer and thank you again for your time.

I worry about messaging support with queries as I don't feel they are very approachable. I have requested a username change twice but nothing happened.

I've been banned twice. Once was a simple misunderstanding about jokes which were encoded in my app that at the time of the encoding were not against the rules but became against the rules overnight without me knowing that was the case. The ban was justified but I explained the situation and got it taken care of and support was super helpful the entire time. The other time had to do with ID verification because my ID expired and there's a process to let CB know that you're uploading a new document for verification, though that was about 5 years ago and I have a few years left on my ID before it expires again, so that may have changed.

I have had warnings and I dutifully answered in a timely manner that the report was false as I am well aware of the rules about the warnings I received. One warning was because I had absent-mindedly turned on my BRB screen to deal with something and forgot to take it down for like an hour or so.

In general, it takes multiple people reporting a room for any immediate ban action to happen or the AI trolling the chat catches something that isn't allowable.

-* snapchat, whatsapp, onlyfans, telegram, et al (you can add snapchat and other approved sites in your bio for purchase) *
- faggot, tranny, trannie

I did six pages of banned words last night (some you mentioned) and I have just added the rest you advised!

I think I might also only allow chat to those who have tipped or tipped on the day for a little while until I feel less on edge about moderating the chat.

I hope you are right that it takes something bad to get banned and that the support team are helpful should that happen, as I have read so many pages on here about people getting banned for no reason and not receiving help but I will tell myself there must have been a reason and just work hard to keep my chat room in order.

What you might have seen on the site where you saw what looked like a private recording was a bot that pulls the thumbnail (which does update as far as I know when you are in hidden shows and pvt's might be wrong on that though), generally the sites like that are charging the people going their to buy a virus, some of the video files might be available, but from what I have seen on reddit it was always people complaining that they paid for a video and the video was an exe that didnt play the video (exe when it should be an mp4 or video format 99% chance it's a virus).

It makes sense when you think about it, lets say you spend 6 hours on cam you only earn for those 6 hours, to earn again tomorrow you have to go live again tomorrow. I have videos that I made 3 years ago that are still earning now, where as I am not still earning from the live streams I did 3 years go, so the earnings from clips kind of compound more than they do from live camming.

I will say though on cb dont be affraid to actually charge a good amount of tokens for videos, I have seen a lot of people that list them for like 20 - 50 tokens a video which imo is way too low, I used to sell 10 min videos for 350-550, and the only people that complained were the people who never tipped or bought anything, so irrelevant opinions.

I have a lot of thoughts on how and why the industry has changed over the years, including chaturbate. But back when I first started it was a great site, I would still say it's an ok site, but to me it feels like a shell of what it used to be.

They do but the amount of traffic and the amount of paying traffic are different things If it's working awesome, if not then there's always other sites to try out.
