I figured, what the heck, now was as good a time as any for this thread...

Rogue and Unity are coming out in a few months. I think I'm looking forward to Rogue more, because of the Haytham story between AC4 & AC3 timeline wise. Also, Unity kind of scares me. During the E3 video, the guy playing jumped off a building, and my stomach actually went with him. So, that'll be fun. I'm not sure if that's because of a better sense of scale or what. I'm guessing so.

Still need to finish AC4, though. That game is daunting in size. Aww, hell, still need to actually play Liberation on PS3. Crap.

Love the series but holy shit was collecting flags awful. I know I could just not do it but I like to 100% games. Read that crowds in the new ones are massive and that they took out versus in favor of co op, should be sweet.

Finished Black Flag (PS4) last week. That was my first but not my last AC. Looking forward for Rogue and (with the exception of this new campaign multiplayer feature) Unity.

Honestly, I played AC4 for maybe 8 to 16 hours and stopped.. And I didn't even hear (or cared) about Liberation coming to the PS3... I'm getting tired of the yearly releases with (usually) very small changes to gameplay and only serve to spread the backstory over multiple games (for example, Brotherhood and Revelations could easily had been a single game). Maybe I'll pick up AC4 again before the new titles come up, but unless the reviews are really good (and there's no better games coming out then), I guess I'll pass on both.

I'm going through The Ezio Trilogy right now and FUCK ME those fucking feathers. Usually I'm so methodic with games that demand this kind of "collections", but I was so naive with AC II - I thought I could just go along with the game and that all the feathers would just come to me. Big mistake. I finished the story line and had to go through all the cities with maps and screenshots collecting those damned things (Venice, by the way, is what hunts me - I just wanted to die everytime I fell on the water canals).
I'm playing AC Brotherhood now. I think it improved a little, since now once you use Eagle Vision and spot something it stays on your map. But I just started it, let's see how the rest goes. I know that I'm already fucked because I left two flags behind in one of those Romulos shrines.

Anyway, I've never played the multiplayer mode. How does it work?

Hard to explain as I haven't played much of it but it is pretty unique, can't really think of any other game to compare it to. You run around assassinating targets and try to avoid being assassinated, online community is mostly dead for the older games on PS3 but worth checking out if you haven't tried it before.

Possibly worth popping in this thread to mention there's an AC sale on Steam right now for all titles.

AC1/2/Brotherhood/Revelations - All down from $19.99 to $4.99

Newer titles are also all discounted as well, just sayin'!

Ok, so.. I got both of these games, but have played more LEGO Batman 3 than either, so haven't seen any of Unity's technical mess, yet. Nor will I, I suppose, now it's been patched on PS4... But from just the opening missions, Rogue seemed more interesting, storywise. Though, I have this fear that Unity comes first on the "present day" storyline, so...
