Apparently pre-op trans people get sent to jail in Canada for trying to enter the country.

She was detained for entering the country after overstaying a visa. I believe she was put in prison because she was a suicide watch; however I do think she was treated abhorrently because of being trans. I just think it sounds confusing to say she was thrown in jail just for being trans & trying to enter; normally they would have no reason to even know she was pre-op as her passport is listed female. She was being detained prior to disclosing her trans status.

I'm glad she's home & safe now. Solitary confinement is fucked up
