I've heard a lotttttt of this on here already, but I'm super confused and most of the threads I've read have been old so I'm *hoping* there's some new explanation or something at least. So last night I signed up to Chaturbate, sent in my I.D. and that got approved within about ten minutes. I broadcast about an hour later. I was only on for about twenty minutes before I had to leave to sort a few things out, but in that time I sat there chatting and getting to know my new followers, and did as what tipped for. Then I let everyone know I'd be back in thirty minutes. I got back around that, broadcast, and no one was coming into my room for about ten minutes. Thanks to my camscore on MFC I'm pretty used to that sometimes on there, so I figured maybe it was totally the norm for me - but then a regular I know IRL sent me a text and let me know that my cam was saying my room had been banned. There is no way I broke any rules. I mean, camming is my main source of income, so why would I break any rules to get myself kicked? I also really enjoy camming, so I'm not about to mess it up. I've emailed support twice and not received anything back, I can't complain about that yet as I emailed them about 4am my time and it's now 1pm - and there's the whole time difference so I have no idea what time it is for them or whether they're 24 hours or not; but from previous threads I'm feeling like I'm never going to get a reply.

Can anyone shed any light? such confuse.

Honestly you most likely will never get a reply from Chaturbate. They're not well known for their model or customer service in the slightest. I will say that you are better off probably sticking with MFC and maybe trying Streamate or another site that doesn't have the camscore thing going that will allow you a little more flexibility with your time online instead of trying to fight a number that in my opinion hates most girls lol.

Sorry to say but you seem to be another addition to the banned from chaturbate for no apparent reason bandwagon. I never got banned but did find the site to be absolutely hellacious in comparison to any other that I have worked on before. It can be absolutely wonderful for some people and just terrible for others. Sometimes it's just about finding the right site to work for you not the other way around. Get model's only status and I'm sure the girls have plenty of recommendations as well as threads on pretty much every site out there and their pros and cons so take that leap!

Yeah, they messed me around even before this back last year and I vowed never to bother with them again. I went through the lengthy and costly process of getting an I.D. card because I don't have a passport, drivers license, etc etc, and they said it'd be completely fine. So I spent all that money for them to turn around and say, ''Sorry, it's not good enough.'' - I know for an absolute fact that it is, but Streamate and bunch of other cam sites are also saying it's not good enough, that it doesn't comply with their regulations yada yada (it must do, other sites have taken it!) - anyway, I decided to re-try again with Chaturbate since MFC has gotten really quiet for me, and they accepted my ID. Utter confusion. Still no replys about the ban. All I hear is bad things, definitely don't think I'll bother. They seem like scammers. Taking the money that the girls earn, and in turn banning girls and not allowing them to their money.

Is their twitter very active?

I've found I get faster (sometimes better) results when I publicly tweet at a website, rather than emailing.

Like eclipstore, I emailed their support email and heard nothing back for a week. Got on twitter and said something (probably something snarky) and they contacted me almost immediately.

I too was banned from CB for no reason. I emailed them asking why I was banned because I didn't do anything wrong. They never replied to me, but they did restore my account. Try emailing them-it can't hurt. :) Streamate is also a decent website and has no camscore.

So I finally got a response, and it is HILARIOUS. I'm pretty sure I'm reporting the site to... well, I'm yet to figure out who ever it is that deals with it. My ID company are ready to give them hell, and so am I. So my ID was accepted as I said, and I was free to broadcast and earn tokens. In my mind, that means they have the right proof that I am 18+ right? I'm almost 20, by the way. In a few days, eesh. Anyway, they emailed back and said my ID was DECLINED; and I'd need a passport or drivers license. Okay, okay.

Firstly, they'd already accepted it and allowed me to work on the site.
Secondly, their own staff took a look at my ID first and said it was perfectly fine.
Thirdly, it's a perfectly good form of ID just as much as a passport would be.
Fourth, it's been accepted by other cam sites, so I know a fact that it's fine.
Fifth, I've even gone over all of the legal part myself just to be 200% sure.

They're no longer replying to me, so I'm giving them another hour and then figuring out who I report the site to because what they're basically saying is that I broadcast without proof of age. This means they let a minor (I'm not, but you get my point...) broadcast and earn tokens. I am so confused about the whole thing, and I'd love to hear opinions as this is just the most ridiculous thing I ever heard.

ID company?

You don't go to a company for a legal ID. You go to a government agency. If that isn't the case, then I can see why they decided after a 2nd look that your ID wasn't valid.

Lol, that's what I meant. It is an agency... government issued and all, obviously. Tt's an ID that's actually accepted by Chaturbate so that was my confusion.
So, just to clarify, a government agency is telling you it's ready to interject on a cam site for them denying the legitimacy of your ID?

Something is really fishy here. I can't imagine calling up the DMV and being like "hey I just got my ID card from you guys and it isn't working on this cam site I am trying to get naked on" and have them be like "OH HELL NAH! LET ME AT 'EM!"

In the United Kingdom, there is a Government backed scheme called Pass Card. Essentially, any ID Card, issued through a verified vendor that bears the Pass Card is Government issued ID. You have to pass Home Office security checks and each vendors own security checks.

They then issue you with the card that bears the pass hologram. Thus far it is Government ID. There are about 5 Government accredited vendors and the vendor that I went through has a confirmation service. I.e. if somewhere, anywhere refuses the ID they then contact them on behalf of yourself to verify that it is a Government issued form of ID and that it is perfectly legal. They are what is called Citizen Cards. A scheme that was bought in by the last Government and it was going to be mandatory for every single citizen of the UK to hold a PASSCARD as they were known, they would eventually replace our passports and driving licenses with different boxes ticked for what they were authorised for. However our new Government realised that process would cost too much and scaled it back to just being for ID For people who did not have a passport or driving licence.

I hope that has cleared it up for you.

Cleared up, mostly. :) Still shocked they'd come to your aid for the cam site, but I'm sure things are vastly different in the UK than in the US.

Edit to add: also, sorry for the inquisitiveness. There are SO MANY clueless people who come through bitching about a cam site doing this or that or the other thing and all the while they're doing things completely wrong, so it has made me skeptical whenever this situation pops up.

No problems, its a strange situation when an issuer will back an individual, despite there being thousands of individuals through that company.. good service I guess.

Well Chaturbate have accepted me now and it was just a one line email I received, so I guess my SO must of pee'd them off by essentially doing their job for them? Either way, yay!

These are generally only accepted by pubs and supermarkets when selling alcohol or by retailers and venues where age restrictions apply. It's not a government agency itself. They are recognised by participating UK retailers, authorities etc. I doubt CB is one of those!

You'd be better off getting a driving licence (provisional will do) and a passport.

Also, if CB choose to accept only certain forms of ID then they are free to do so. Adultwork no longer accept driving licences, only passports. Apparently they're less likely to be fake.

As stated in my last comment and copy pasted in somewhere too. PASSCARDS Are a form of legal I.D backed by the UK Govt and Home office. As once my SO sent over all relevant information to Shirley at CO that clarified it was government issued I.d by proxy of a third party vendor.

The whole pass card scheme is a government initialised scheme and now still is Govt issued just through third party vendors that happens to be sponsored by supermarket chains or the like.

I'm now verified and earning on CB as they realised it was Govt issue I.d and the whole issue is resolved.

(SO posting)
