Hey yall, I’ve been streaming for about a while now and sometimes I will randomly have people text my legal name in chat or send me a message on my personal socials with the link to my streams. how do u guys deal with this? i usually end up freezing and ending stream so what am I supposed to do immediately after and what can I do to prevent this from happening? For context I am 18 in highschool and know one knows what I do but I can’t afford to quit either since my tuition fee is absurdly high and I wouldn’t possibly be able to afford it with a 9-5 nor do I have the time for that with my school schedule.

Do you have your region blocked in your privacy settings? That doesn't stop local viewers using a proxy or vpn, but it's a start and better than nothing.

If ppl are saying your legal name in chat, then someone certainly knows what you do.

Looking at your previous posts you may have a stalker , that guys does not have to be in your region so don't worry too much.
do not respond to the messages , that will give them confirmation , just ban/block and go on.

check your own (private) social media if a link can be made between your name , your location, personal pictures, cam pictures etc
and remove it from your social media.
remember that you can be found as a camgirl , camgirl name and camgirl picture
Just make sure that this never can be linked to your personal social media

You may be able to type your legal name into a “blocked words” filter in your model settings, so that the next time some creepy douchebag types it, it will be blocked from posting in the chat. I also use geoblock to block my state. Also if you use a social media platform under your real name (where your in real life friends and family communicate with you)…make sure that you’re not posting the same photos from there onto your camming social media pages/cam profiles/here on this “adult” forum that’s open to the public. Don’t let the “worlds collide” (It’s a George Costanza reference from Seinfeld). :p The e-mail address that’s tied to your legal name…don’t use that for sex work stuff. If, for some reason, you actually want/need a customer to be able to E-MAIL you, you need to have a different e-mail that’s specifically for sex work stuff.

When you’re having moments where you’re chillin’ and bonding with people in public chat, make sure you’re not accidentally oversharing information that could give away the town you live in. For example, if you currently live in a small town that’s known for a major crime story that was all over the news on Christmas Day in 2020, don’t tell people that. Also no one needs to know what the exact temperature is right now in your area. When guys are grilling you about WHERE in _________ you live, you can tell them that’s none of their business, or that’s personal. If they don’t respect that and continue to pry, feel free to block them.

When I’d be sipping on my Dunkin’ refresher while on cam, I’d always make sure the little orange sticker (on the side of the cup) with my name on it was peeled off.

Do you know if it's the same person or not each time?

You kind of need to decide what your going to do with this... If your only in this for a little money on the side and don't plan to take it seriously then you need to take advantage of those region blocks. If you want to take this seriously, region blocks can stop a lot of traffic to you, and your going to have to have a social media presence as a cam model or content creator anyways so region blocks won't do much good to stop ppl from finding you, and hell you want ppl to find you anyways.

Either way, any personal accounts on social media should be set to private only and stay away from putting your face as your profile picture ect. or even better yet just not have a social media presence.

But the biggest thing of them all.... drum roll.... you can totally block all non token holders from chatting. This cleans things up A LOT. Then only the more serious ones are left to chat (well mostly anyways lol)
