One thing to remember, Zoe, and I believe MissM touched on this: Don't expect your rules to absolutely not be broken. Expect mistakes, talk about them if it happens, and decide whether or not that is a rule that's really needed OR if this is a choice in lifestyle you want to keep. People tend to get swept away by emotion and the heat of the moment and don't stop to think before something happens that they can't undo- especially early on in these things. There are quite a few websites discussing poly lifestyles-open relationships included- and it helped my wife and I get through a rough spot. There are forums and the people seem eager to help. I can't remember the website the wife used.
Just remember, you're both human.
