So the first month for us, have been tough. The first advertising campaign failed and we didn't manage to get any decent traffic. But hey, you learn from your mistakes I guess. So now we've been talking with CrakRevenue, and we've made a deal, so they will do the advertising for us.
So, about the changes to the site.
I have rewritten the entire broadcasting page from ground up and I've added support for external encoders. This means, that no longer performers will be obligated to you the old flash encoder, which was slow and with really bad quality. Performers can use their favourite encoding software like OBS studio or Wowza GoEncoder for smartphones.
We've added social network account linking. Currently you can link your twitter account with your cam2vanilla account and we will automatically post tweets to your twitter account when you go online, write a wall post or upload a photo. You can define your own tweets and you can even disable the auto tweeting if you want to.
We've removed the level system completely and replaced it with a reward system. Now all the performers don't have to worry about their level decreasing and losing their commission. Simply if you complete 4 simple tasks on the site, you will get your maximum commission and it will stay that.
The tasks are
- Filled profile
- Uploaded at least 3 photos
- Linked Twitter account
- Have at least one approved widget
For each completed task the performer will get +1.8% (+2.6% if signed up before the 1st of June) There is one additional task which if completed will add commission for the next week, and that is the time spent online. So basically if the performer is online at least 14 hours for the week, in the next week the performer will get additional 1.8%/2.6% to their commission. Additionally we will reward our most loyal and best performers with even more commission bonuses.
The rating system also got some changes. As previous the rating will be calculated mostly for the time spent online. For every hour online, the performer will get +5 points to the rating, but now every wall post, like or comment will give 1 additional point to the rating. The ratings are calculated every 3 hours. If the performer doesn't go online for at least a minute, since the last recalculation, the rating will drop by 3 points. Just to keep everything fare, the rating for every performer will be reset randomly every month.
Some changes that will be coming after the 17th of July (estimated).

The advertising campaigns will probably run between 9PM and 3AM (UTC) and in that time we will be paying a fixed hourly price 0.50$ for the first 10 performers online. I know that 0.50$ isn't much, but well at least it's something. You still can leave our site running in the background and splitcam with another site. If it will run well we will increase the price and performer count.
Additionally the referral system will be getting some changes. As previous the performers will get 5% for every spent credit by the referred user, but now they will get 1-5$ (based on referred user count) for every first purchase. The users will also get some good first purchase bonuses.
We really want you to know, that performers will always by our top priority, so all the chargebacks and refunds will always be on me, you don't have to worry about them. We will never tolerate users who demand performers doing stuff they don't want to, and those users will always be banned.
