Looks good. I think we're going to see a lot more of this "robots and humans living together" plot lines in the future. This year we had Automata, next year we have this and... The Age of Ultron.

I saw this the other day, and was surprised to see Die Antwoord in it.

D9 is one of my top 5 films of all time!! I just wish he would make a sequel already!! Elysium was pretty good though and I think this will be good as well. Sad that hugh jackman is in it as he kinda ruins a lot of movies for me (don't hate me ladies)

But I am very happy to see Dev Patel in this! Looking forward to it :)

I thought it was alright. I'd rate it as a "good forgettable movie". If you enjoy seeing movies in the theater and don't mind seeing average movies there, then I'd recommend it. Otherwise I'd say it's a rental.

It was a little odd in that it felt like a mix of drama, comedy and action. I felt there were a some very one dimensional characters. The one thing that blomkamp always gets right is the action scenes and this was no exception, but I felt they were few and far between. I thought Ninja and Yolandi from "Die Antwoord" were fairly good. Specifically Yolandi.

The soundtrack seemed to pretty much specifically be Die Antwoord songs, and Hans Zimmer songs. The Zimmer songs seemed almost like carbon copy rehashes of his previous work with minor differences.

Out of D9, Elysium and Chappie, I'd personally put Chappie as the weakest. But it is also a different genre so it's hard to rate like that.

I wouldn't recommend it, but it wasn't "bad". I'd say it's about a 7.3/10

Thank you for the honest review. I Loooooove Die Antwoord as musicians, it will be interesting to see how well they do acting in a motion picture.

Out of A.I, Bicentennial Man, and Chappie, how would you rate it?

I haven't seen Bicentennial Man.
From what I remember about A.I. (even though it's been about 14 years), I think I remember connecting with the character a lot more in AI, and felt it gave me more to think about. I remember the ending to AI also blew me away. So I'd probably go with it above Chappie. Chappie was a lot more lighthearted/comedic (in a dark sort of way) and action packed though, rather then a straight drama, so it's hard to compare.

The problem is, I can't remember the pacing of AI very well. I basically just remember the jist of the storyline and a great ending.

I did think the pacing of Chappie was well done, there wasn't any dull periods. I just didn't connect with the fleshed out characters in it as much as I was hoping I would and I felt like there was too many one dimensional characters.

Oh one other thing that I forgot to mention, there is *A LOT* of blatant advertising/product placement in it. Almost laughably so.
