I have noticed that cb has been really glitchy since updates. Messages are sent but not received/showing for model or users. Has anyone else noticed this? It's quite frustrating...

Have not noticed this but what does seem to happen to me is, when I login and it directs me back to the main page, the whole site lags and freezes for me, and it crashes my whole browser and PC. No other site does this, and it has happened lots of times. Not sure if anyone else experiences this on CB or not, but it never used to do this.

That is weird. I definitely haven't had that happen, but the messages thing is driving me mad. One user sent me a snap saying that he was requesting a private show but it wasn't showing on my screen. Really confusing. @punker barbie - has this been happening to anyone else?

I have been noticing this, too, but mostly when I use Firefox. Chrome is the recommended browser for CB and I haven't had problems when I use it even though I prefer Firefox.

Mine has been working fine on Chrome too. I mean there is a little hick-up with messages showing twice or that reconnecting message every once in a while but it did that before the updates too. What browser is everyone using?

Interesting! I'm just using internet explorer, but I used to use chrome. I may switch it up again.

Now if there was just some way to select multiple messages for deletion, but baby steps. This is looking good.

I felt no need to keep any of the DM's I received, so I just hit the vertical ellipses and quick deleted them. I'm sure you have way more than I do but it was faster than opening each one and doing it that way and if you're already figured that out, ignore this.

Is there a plan to make it so that when you click the message icon next to the alert icon that you aren't navigated away from the room you're in or the page you're on? We can't even right click on the message icon to open the messages page in a new tab or new window which would be much preferred. Or maybe it would be better to remove that altogether and just have the floating message icon in the bottom corner.DMs just got an upgrade

Yeah, I wish I had done that. Since messages expired after a few months I never bothered. This latest change has also resurrected old PMs and now I've got a year's worth of spam to deal with... sigh.

The two icons should behave the same, I don't know why they would have different behaviors for each. That is just extra coding to be annoying. In fact just get rid of the floating icon. I hate floating icons. They just cover part of the screen.

I really want to be able to drag and move the DM icon, it covers the send button when viewing models for me because I have the window "maxed" so that I can see the video big but the chat box stays at the bottom and it's a perfect setup for me, i have done this for many years.. now this is on the send button and emojis button, its difficult and annoying.

Yeah I added the same comment in the 'unsolicited DM' thread here. @Vixxen81 mentioned that you can hit the 'enter' key instead of send, that might work for you, depending on what browser you use?
(I've found that in Firefox, sometimes 'enter' activates the next room +/-, and occasionally other unexpected functions, so I need to try that in Chrome).

When I get onto Chaturbate, and I open up two windows at the same time, both windows slow down. It's like they are punishing me for using the web site. Is this something that is designed, or is my browser somehow doing something super weird?

Are you broadcasting, or viewing? If broadcasting, do you use OBS (or similar) or direct from CB?
I'd suggest it may be a limitation of your internet connection bandwidth and/or your laptop/pc/device, especially if it's an older one.
You can run a custom speedtest to test your connection using only Chaturbate global servers, it may also vary by time of day or night in your location. https://chaturbate.speedtestcustom.com/
Also check your device performance, for example using Windows you can look at system monitor to look at resource demand - memory use, CPU % etc. to try and home in on differences between having one or two CB browser windows open.

One of my browsers has a built-in VPN option. If I use that, then Chaturbate tabs do not slow down at all. With the VPN running, I do not need to log in or have my age verification.

I've been narrowly focused on the Trust & Safety filter and how well it is working to filter out the Snapchat and similar spam since this has been the top issue for many of the models and moderators I've talked to in the past few months.
I've been reviewing the audit logs from installed instances of my Chat Guard and Ad Blocker apps and in the past 8 or 9 days the number of messages they have had to filter out has dropped to nearly zero. I've also been testing messages that were previously not being filtered out by ChaturSafe and many of them are now being caught by it.
I'm pleased to say that what felt like an epidemic-level crisis to many app developers is now comfortably under control. Well done Chaturbate dev team!

I noticed CB is testing a new low latency video stream
and that is not going well ......

Streams have a lot of small stutters ( not moving ) and if it goes bigger the loading icon appears.
In Firefox the page never stops loading ( the cb icon never appears in the tab, 2 blinking dots stay visible )
you can press stop on the browser (X) but then the chat will re-connect and all chat messages will appear 2 times
( but the loading will stop )
and that is not going well ......

I've noticed this, too. I primarily use Firefox even though CB says that Chrome is recommended. A number of times in the last couple of days I've noticed the video resolution drop from 1080p to 360p or 480p even though it still says 1080p and then it needs to be manually reset.

Getting that a lot lately too. Internet speed test shows good upload and download speeds my end, so seems to be a server-side issue with certain rooms.

This was happening to my room for the past 2-3 weeks. I hadn't changed any settings in my stream for a year, but it suddenly started disconnecting and lagging badly. Anyway, my tech guy came out and adjusted a couple settings on OBS, and it fixed the problem. He raised the drop threshold, locked to ipv4 instead of auto, and turned off hardware acceleration in the browser. This completely fixed the problem. I can't say how or why, but maybe it can help someone else too.
