My completely made up explanation is they are paying someone to develop it and each additional feature is expensive so that’s where the 50k number came from.

Yeah it's $2,500 specifically. I know free lance designers are not cheap, but to do basic rubbish drawings (sketch and digital) wouldn't be that much. Or they have found some designer who hugely over prices and thinks they are special.

Designers are one thing, but developers are another. A good English-speaking developer could cost well over $100 an hour, so $2,500 isn't entirely unrealistic depending on how much coding these new features require.

I'm at the point where "Ignorance is bliss" as far as camming goes. You're not me, I'm not you. You do what you do, I do what I do. It either hits with the audience at hand, or it doesn't. The more you spend time trying to figure out how to be like "them" or why one model gets 20K tokens in a day and others only get 100 tokens a week, the more time you're taking away from developing the skill set you already have.

NOTHING is sexier than absolute confidence in yourself and your show. Keep being you!

I can see it maybe being a fringe niche because I know there are animation fetishes out there but I don't think it'll ever be in the same orbit as real life cam modeling. I caught one of the first model's shows and it didn't really do anything for me but I don't think I'm the target market for it either.

Since the start of this I've wondered if a model was talented enough with art and production how animation vids would sell comparatively.

Are we actually sure that CB is not the creator of this robot? Think about it. CB has lots of technical talent and a distribution platform for the technology. They can run these robots 24 hours a day and then pocket 100% of the net revenue as their sale because there is no commission to the performer as their cost of sales. Instead of running a business where they net 15% after paying all their fixed and variable advertising costs, they suddenly have 65% margins. That creates a virtuous cycle where they start to invest more and more of their technology spend into creating these automated performers. I just peeked at this thing and guys are in there tipping it around the clock.

I am pretty sure that this is a fully automated environment. I remember a chat system where about 40% of the new users were AI robots, and it got to the point where you had to ask them a set of very complicated and bizarre questions trying to throw them off their algorithm and expose them. For me, that destroyed the value of that system. It was not a good use of my time to interact with software.

People need to think forward 10 years and where this is going. Because I think it leads us to a very sad place. What happens once the graphics technology makes the presenter look 100% like a real human? What happens once the AI is so good that even a professional technologist cannot easily tell the difference between a real and a fake person? What kind of nightmare is this when people will spend their time having serious interactions with a piece of software that is just empty and has no real consciousness, and people do not even realize the deception? You thought "The Matrix" was just a movie?

Well from when I have seen/heard the character, it always sounds like the person is stoned or high so that could explain the bizarre side - have a weird thought when you're high or stoned. We've all done it lol.

Actually I don't think I had anything too insane to be fair. I know when I did try weed (it's all I did try when I was younger - teens), I didn't do anything too weird and bizarre but I do know the majority of people around me who smoke it regularly, have outrageous thoughts/ideas. Some really cool and others just "wtf".
