For tributes, you get 75% of the $$. There's a disclaimer on it, saying that the tribute is a monetary gift/donation ONLY, no product guarantee.
I think that's to cover their own booty, like say you contact a performer and ask about a custom video and they say "yes if you pay for it up front" and then you tribute and then they for whatever reason DON'T pull through, c4s doesn't have to give it back, I think?

I would be cautious with it depending on who you're dealing with. I use my tribute buttons as down payments for custom clips, but if you've never worked with me or spoken with me before, I wouldn't exactly encourage you to just start sending tributes willy nilly. Well, actually if you want to I won't say no. :whistle:
In all seriousness, the tribute button should be used with caution and common sense. If you're trying to order a custom video from someone you've never ordered from before, I'd recommend talking to said person before making a decision. Mostly it's meant to be used exactly what it says it's for, as monetary tributes with no strings attached.
