Cryptocurrencies, not being suited as currency, nor all that crypto anymore, aren't viable as means of payment for legitimate services. They're fine as speculative investments, and some people have done very well with them, but they're far too volatile to be taken seriously as micro-payment options. What's more, it can take a while to cash out, so that volatility can hurt your earnings at a time like now when BTC dropped 20% in a few days, even though it's climbing back up. Unless you're like Pornhub and have no other options, that is. Cryptocurrencies in their current form are basically gambling.

It's been discussed a lot. There are a whole bunch of old threads about Bitcoin if you wanna do a search.

I have to agree, partially and also partially disagree. As I think it gives more freedom to people to pay as you will have no track on your bank statement. Assuming that if you tip on OF ect, it will charge you and you will have it on your statement. Plus you can actually label your photos with a blockchain so they wont be stolen. It would be nice to know if models use some kind of a crypto wallet for this kind of tips

I'm always open to it, though not many customers use it. Someone did tip me $4 worth of Bitcoin yesterday though which was a first lol. You can use a site like SpankPay to accept crypto payments, and you can have it set on your account to auto-convert all tips to USD, which can then be withdrawn from your account. That way you don't have to worry about volatility. On the other hand I for one and positive about crypto. Even despite the 20% drop recently, which anyone who's been following crypto knows was going to happen, Bitcoin and other currencies like Ethereum are still up for the week. Currently Bitcoin is up 324% for the year, 94% for the month, 12% for the week, and 2% for the past 24h and this has been the trend for the past 2 years. I believe it's perfectly fine to use as an investment.

EDIT: I just re-read this and now I'm confused if you are talking about tips for live shows on a camsite or something else, because if that's the case you shouldn't do that as you can get banned. If not just ignore this lol

You have a great point there Prince. You can set some aside for investment while getting your usual stream of income converted instantly and maybe get a bit more doing so.
