I hate how long it takes to get used to new glasses.

I am so hungry but I don't want to cook! How much are those live in chefs?

OMG that's kind of my dream job. I'm a trained pastry chef but I do have savory background as well and I want to find a rich as fuck family and work as their live-in chef/caterer and then cam at night. It would be the BEST.

I walked to the nearest Redbox location, and it's out of stock.

You probably already know this, but if you get on their website you can search for every box location. It will let you know what is in stock at each one, and you can put it on hold immediately. So it won't rent it to anyone else. I think you have 24 hours then to go to that box and pick it up. If you don't they still charge you for putting it on hold. But this way you'd know for sure it was there when you walk all the way to get it. You also have to swipe the same card you used online to hold it to prove it's you at the box.

Yes I pulled a random location.

Yes. And being told "But you're bigger than he is!" doesn't help either. Yes, I'm bigger. Does that mean I'm supposed to shout a menacing "BWAHAHAHA!!!" as I'm chasing it?

Thanks! :) I was checking out that feature last night too. That's pretty cool. Mom rented it for me this morning from a Royal Farms Redbox. That plus the Dunkin Donuts coffee and bacon, egg, cheese croissant was a nice surprise! I would've given her this 'free Redbox rental' code I had, if I knew she was gonna do that. She still has 2 weeks to use it though before it expires.

Try shouting BWAHAHAHA!!!! while it chases you:wasntme:

I really should (in a Super Mario Bros. Bowser voice)! When I see those things, it's almost always at my grandparents' house in PA. They live right near the woods. Lately they've been finding the occasional snake in their kitchen...front porch...or in their flower pot outside. :worried:

Hey, crafty people:

When you go into a craft store to buy fabric, do YOU cut it off the bolt or do they? And do you have to buy it in yards or can you do less? Like say I need 4 feet long, do I just tell them 4 feet or do I have to get 2 yards?

You take the bolt to the counter (there should be one in the fabric area) and ask them for the amount you need and they cut it. I'm not sure if they will do measurement conversions for you, but you could ask!

If you're a student, do yourself a favor; NEVER get a Discover student loan. That company is the biggest pain in the ass to work with of any out there. They will give you a migraine every time you have to call them.

Every once in a while i will read someones post and they are referring to someone I have on ignore. So I make the mistake of showing ignored content to read up on what all was said. Then I remember why I have them on ignore.

Yes, the staff cuts for you and gives you a receipt that you take to the cash register and pay. Usually the smallest amount that a store will cut varies place to place, but about a 1/4 of a yard, which is about 9".

The one time that I bought fabric from JoAnn's, I remember having to ask the lady to cut it for me, and I bought it by the yard (I bought a couple different designs...one yard each). I tried looking on the website to see if it says anything more about this, and everything I'm seeing in the fabrics category seems to be advertised "per yard." I got a bit carried away at JoAnn's once and bought all this fabric that I ended up not even using. So I sold the rest on one of those local Facebook Mom Swap groups. The craft store you're going to might have coupons in the newspaper, and might have an e-mail newsletter that sends coupons to your e-mail.

I forgot just how funny Pulp Fiction is. Crazy violent and fucked up but yet, hilarious.

QT always nails it.

I don't think I've ever seen that entire movie (only bits and pieces of it), but I know it's on a lot of people's lists of favorite movies of all time. Speaking of Quentin Tarantino, did you see Django Unchained? That Bag Men scene had me laughing my ass off. :giggle:

*This video clip contains the 'n' word being said a few times, but that is to be expected with what this movie is about.*

Bree Olson...

"It's really easier for me just to stay inside my house and not put myself out there for hurt."--Bree Olson

I'm not sure who she is in popular culture (I'm pretty out of touch), but I do understand that statement as a human. It always feels like the good peoples are always outnumbered by mean peoples. Interesting interview.

Oh trust me I try to avoid anything pertaining to loans when dealing with school. I was lucky not to deal with them when I was getting my bachelor's degree. Will try to avoid it again when getting my Master's especially that Discover student loan.

Looking at this I just want to give her a hug and have a heart to heart because she has been through so much. Morality clauses really should be disbanded unless it pertains to people who continue to do heavy drug use. If someone has done porn but wants to get out and do more mainstream stuff they should be allowed to do it. Tracey Lords is a one example.

It sucks to me how decisions we can make when we're barely adults, like getting into porn or getting into debt, can impact us for the rest of our adult lives. Like there's no mandatory financial management or "make good choices" classes in school haha. It makes me sad that you can make an uninformed choice* at age 18 and then be stuck with it forever. In terms of porn or sex work, it sucks that while there is an entire industry for "rescuing" sex workers, there are so many SWs who wind up staying because of stigma or because they're in it now and it can be hard to realign your life afterwards. It would be nice if it was easier to move onwards, especially for porn or camgirls where there's video recordings (and especially for popular models like Bree).

* Not to say all young people are uninformed or trapped -- just in general, you can hop in, try it out, decide it's not for you and still be dealing with that later.
