Hey,
I’ve read through a few threads here and figured I’d post in case anyone can help me out or offer some advice.

I’ve been using CB for over 5 years and MFC for more than 10, and this is the first time something like this has ever happened — honestly, I was pretty surprised.

I was in a broadcaster’s room, and we had a good vibe going in private. We agreed on a password show: 30 minutes for 1450 tokens. She explained exactly what she’d do during the show, and I was all in. But right after I tipped the full amount… she logged off.

I’ve already submitted a help center form hoping for a refund, but thought I’d post here too — maybe someone from CB sees this, or others might have had a similar experience.

Appreciate anyone taking the time to read this. Any help or advice would really mean a lot!

I can't help your situation, but just wanted to say this was well written and a reasonable concern, unlike most "omg was scammed help" posts.

Hopefully @punker barbie can confirm that support is looking into your refund request.

Best advice is for you to have a bit of patience, all of your communication with the model have been recorded, but Support will have to find it and go through it, if you provided an approximate time of when it happened it might speed things up. Also I think Support tries to reach out to the model to get an explanation from them, depending on how fast they respond that also takes some time.

But it seems your case is strong.

Just out of curiosity, if OP or anyone else wants to answer, why choose a password show over a private? Especially in this case when the member is already in a private? Wouldn’t it make more sense to just stay in the private?

I’m not super familiar with CB, but I’ve always thought of password shows like club shows on MFC. So in my mind, password shows only make sense if you’re planning on doing a show for a group of people and want to give them full access without them having to pay per minute, not just for one person to get a show.

Private shows drain tokens every 10 seconds, password shows do not drain tokens at all. When you run out of tokens in a private, the show abruptly ends and he would have had to reup and hope she keeps going or they call it even and both walk away from the show.

Password shows make it easier to manage token balances but they almost always end up with a model taking the money and running because they can.

He will probably get a one time courtesy refund, but OP please do not engage in password shows where you do not know the model well enough to know she won't take your tokens.

Friendly reminder: tips are GIFTS not payment for actions as worded in the TOS. Always be aware of how a model operates after she receives a tip.

In other words, she didn't do anything against TOS.

Meh missed the window to edit:

I'm not saying what she did was right morally or ethically, but it's not against the rules.

Also, a lot of cities are experiencing brownouts across the world, with some experiencing mandatory blackouts due to high temps and excessive electricity usage. That could be a reason as well.

I myself have been through three in the last month. Everyone just assumed I got mine and ran, I was back up with in an hour and no one came to check.

Now if you hit her room and she banned you...yeah, that's a money grab.

Another possible reason may be if there is agreement on the show content and duration for a fixed amount of tokens, and then the user doesn't need to tip additional amounts over the per-minute rate to see that content.
The model doesn't need to consider adjusting their private rate, and the viewer can focus on the show.
