No one can realistically answer that. All male cam viewers are men who are either closeted and pretending to be women or overtly gay/bisexual. It's entirely up to you how much you give into that aspect of camming. The vast majority of models aren't making more than $50K to $60K a year unless they have other revenue streams like clip sites and OF and that's for the female side of things. No idea how much your average male model makes a year.

Streaming is a lot more work than just being sexy. Don't quit your day job yet.

I honestly think you will do much better than my husband and I as a couple. Be warned that you may not always make enough to get paid. Ever since my hubby and I came back from vacation our broadcast is almost completely dead silent nothing. We did not make enough to get paid yet so please if you have a Vanilla job, please stick to it. It is very diffacult to get viewers attracted to you. To me it seems like viewers are only interacting with you or tipping because they are up to no good. You can risk having your videos stolen or tricked into revealing your ID. Please be very careful! Never trust any viewers ever! It is rare to find a viewer who is trully athentic and that will dedicate themselves entirely to a model. Another thing to whatch out for is never allow viewers with specific images that appear fake and send continuous tips even when your offline. That is a chargeback fruad scam and should be banned imediately.

The positive aspect of this job is that you can establish a professional bond with your viewers and can make enough to get paid. My highest pay was $400.00 to $500.00 in a week. That may be because viewers had an income tax return but on average I only make anywhere from $100.00 to $250.00. Camming can help support you financially sometimes. I think camming is just a go to for a little extra help to add to your regular job income or if your in a pinch you can get on your cam site and earn but kind of liike a temporary type thing but not to be relied upon as a full time job. Cam modling is not job security. There is no paid sick leave or vacation funding. You dont get paid if you dont work. I hope this helps with your decision and wish you the best of luck.

I appreciate that this is your lived experience, and the experience of many models but I just want to say to anyone reading that this isn’t exactly true for everyone.

There are many female solo and couple performers who make a comfortable living doing this, and it can be as secure a job as any other self employed gig.

I think your advice is helpful as a dose of reality - it absolutely is VERY hard work to build an audience and make good $$ but it can be done.

Your advice not to quit vanilla work is good- no one should quit until their income is stable from camming over a long period of time. Camming was my main income from 2010-2020. And now content is. And it covers all my bills in a high cost of living area of the US living solo.

I suppose everyone has different experiences. I've seen models fail and I have seen models succeed. Yard does have potential. Sexy photos are a good start.

I'd say yard should give it a try. You never know what's in store for you. You may make it to top model and win lots of tokens if your lucky. I have seen male models succeed and make it to the top.
