how to put tip me offline on your profile

The broken link isn't an official twitter link, it's was an image a model uploaded to MFC and apparently later removed. The best way to go about this would be to upload an image you prefer to your host of choice(MFC it self is one option) and link to that.

I've tried using that broadcaster ID generator on cammodelexpress, but it always says that there has been a "socket error" what does that even mean?

Including links to your MFC Share items, collections and clubs is now probably the best way to advertise offline tipping.

Use the embed code on any of those pages and copy/paste it into your about me section (or other section) on your MFC Profile.

It has the same results as simply using

, which doesn't have a model name in the end as you can see.
You still have to enter the model's name manually on the page, see:

BUT if you want to lead a member to a page where he can leave you a tip without having to enter your name, you will need your broadcaster ID.
The link you'll use will look like this:

How do you get your broadcaster ID?
Go to the homepage. Act as if you want to send your model account a PM.

Look at what it says on top of the pop up window:

The number I underlined in pink is my broadcaster ID!
Next, open
Code: 
http://www.myfreecams.com/mfc2/php/tip.php?request=tip&broadcaster_id=YOURBROADCASTERID

You'll get this window:

This way people can tip you directly in a single step, without having to enter your name first.
Now if you want to shorten your offline tip link, so that people can remember it and you can easily use it on Twitter, you can use a link shortener like tiny.cc to make a really short URL. Mine is tiny.cc/tiplily, for example.

You are correct. The links to tip you can go in your "More About Me/Bio" section of your profile. Here are some working examples that are already configured for your account. You can try them as they are now and then alter them later to meet your needs...


For your particular profile, a text-only link to send you a tip can look something like this:
HTML: 
<a href="https://www.myfreecams.com/php/tip.php?&request=tip&broadcaster_id=25466479&tip_value=500&comment=Here+is+a+500+token+tip!">Send me a 500 token tip!</a>


If you are wanting someone to click an image (as opposed to text) to tip you, then the link can look something like this:

<a href="https://www.myfreecams.com/php/tip.php?&request=tip&broadcaster_id=25466479&tip_value=500&comment=Here+is+a+500+token+tip!"><img src="https://img.mfcimg.com/chat_images/u/17/17825aa5.x50.gif" alt=""></a>

Where can the embed code be found on mfcshare looking but having trouble finding it.
