hi everyone!(:
im super new to all this, and ive been researching the camgirl thing for
a few months.. i had a few questions if no one minds

1. what site is best?!

2. have you ever been unknowingly put on pornhub?

3. whats the difference between private chat/ shows and public chat/videos?

4. If you cant tell im super nervous, but im also excited!!

any advice would have my gratitude <3

I would definitely check out CamGirlWiki.com for info about public vs private shows, as it depends on each site! This link is awesome: https://www.camgirlwiki.com/#Deciding_w ... irst_steps

This thread talks about whether or not MFC is a good site for new models (if you read all the posts, there are arguments for both sides): https://www.ambercutie.com/forums/viewt ... 12&t=10620
This thread has lots of info as well as lots of links: https://www.ambercutie.com/forums/viewt ... 15&t=14554

I've been put on PornHub and other sites, before you start camming, go in with the knowledge that you WILL be recorded and uploaded. At this point it's not really an "if" but a "when". Your live shows and your videos can (and probably will) be leaked. You can certainly try to minimize it or have them taken down, but count on it happening.

I hope that helps!! :hello2:

thanks a million!(;
i just want to get as much knowledge as i can,
especially before making a decision.

i know that agreeing to this im agreeing to
whatever comes with it.

i'd like to keep this as low key as i can.
When a video or something gets leaked,
i know theres a process i can go about to try to get it down. (long process)

when your vids were leaked did you tryy and take yours down,
and if not, do they stay on pornhub (or other sites) or do they
eventually get taken down?

i know these are kind of rediculous questions >-< lol
i just want the complete layout

again, thank you soo freakin' much <3 <3 <3

Don't try to get the video taken down yourself, never send your own DMCA forms.
When you want to get a video taken down, you send an e-mail to the model support of the camsite you are on, and you include the link to your video. Then the camsite sends out a DMCA form to get it taken down.
This is easier with some hosts, and unfortunately with others, it seems practically impossible - you'll find much more information about this in the models only area of this forum, once you become a verified model.
Big tube sites like pornhub shouldn't be as much of a problem, I'm pretty sure they comply to DMCA forms (I've never seen myself on pornhub so I can't be sure though!) What's more dangerous are certain forums, whose members seem to often use hosts that do not delete files after receiving DMCA forms. Again, more info in models only :)

But basically if you're really really concerned about people finding out you're a camgirl, don't start camming. People you know might find your content or shows uploaded somewhere, or they might find your camgirl Twitter, or they might see you live on cam. If you feel like that would be something you wouldn't be able to handle at all, definitely don't become a camgirl. There are precautions you can take but there's definitely no guarantee no one will ever find out.

To put this in perspective, there was a new model I found on Chaturbate last year. Within 10 minutes of her first show ending, a recording from it ended up on YouTube.

She hadn't even given much thought to the idea of potentially taking off her shirt. It was just a recording of an (admittedly beautiful) girl talking.

This really concerns me!! My first few days as a camgirl have been great but the realisation that I can (and will!) end up on other sites really freaks me out. Is there anything that can be done to minimise the chance of this occurring???

Some models use watermarks that lead back to their Twitter/Tumblr but most people won't care and still upload, really.

While some models avoid masturbating and/or getting nude in public chat in hopes of being recorded, people will still record and upload your public chat, as well as groups and privates. The only way to not be recorded is to not cam.

In a nutshell, no. Like Loganlee said, watermarking doesn't really deter anyone; at best, it will just help anyone who happens upon your videos to find you.

Maybe take a bit of time to weigh the pros & cons before you keep camming; it's not something you can undo if you change your mind. Always assume your stuff will be uploaded and then decide if that's worth it to you. Obviously a lot of people decide the benefits outweigh the consequences but it's different for everyone.
