I know this is a scam, but I want your opinions. I didn't want to do my own post and end up in the "I'm in love with a camgirl" threads lol. But why not...

There is a model I've been following for a few months. I'll hop in her room every couple days maybe do a private, tip in public, nothing crazy, she takes about 300 or so a month from me after MFC cuts. I don't think she is a studio girl. None of the common themes are present. She is only on MFC. So I bought her WhatsApp, and we have been going back and forth semi regularly. She is Romanian and I live in Italy, in a town she has gone on holiday before. She has sent me pics of her here and said she has been wanting to come here on holiday again someday. I joked with her about being a tour guide but never really thought that of she would come she would actually tell me. But then one day a couple weeks ago she tells me she's planning a holiday at the end of the summer if she can save up the money for it. Gives the whole I'm struggling blurb and so on. I'm thinking ok she just wants me to tip more or something. And then she says when she comes she wants to go out with me... I'm like ok sure. I'm still not believing it, but I bite. I tell her if your serious about meeting I think it would be cool. I'd love to take you out and so on.. still not a believer, still thinking it's a game to get more tips by giving the fantasy. I have never given money outside of tips. She starts getting a lot more friendly and giving personal details online and off, so I start to believe about 20% more. I have not increased the amount I give her, and I have not in anyway given her the impression I'm rich or anything. So she starts telling me about her finances and what the holiday would cost. We banter back and forth, and then she hits me with, and I quote:

"You are the only person who I feel good when you on Mfc……
I was thinking we could start be on a relationship, I must be honest…. I always wanted to have next to me a man who can take care of my needs ( you are intelligent and you know what I mean).
Because alone I struggle a lot, and if you could help me with like 1500 euro each month would be a dream for me, i will be less worried and more happy….. but it is an idea if you can and if you agree of course
I’m on a moment that is all difficult for me, and I need someone who can sustain me"

First of all, it's a scam, secondly, sounds like a bot wrote it and completely out of character for her.

So I reply, "if we were in a real relationship, that was in person and normal dating, I would be open to eventually helping you out a bit, but I'm not going to send you money when there is no real relationship. I'll continue to support you on cam as I have."

Then I tell her that. "If she does come on holiday, I still would like to meet her is she is serious about her desire to meet me, but until then let's just have fun on cam."

She replies with the "Yes I totally understand you are very kind person, and I appreciate a lot your help on Mfc.
Let’s see what god has for us in the future, meanwhile we get to know each other better. We don’t make plans, let’s leave all by his own "


And we haven't talked about her comment since. She still tells me she is planning to come out here. And we still banter back and worth. I'm not making plans to meet her, I'm not sending her money, and I still enjoy jumping in her room. It hasn't spoiled it for me.

I know it's a scam, I'm not sure what kind of "relationship" she expects, I assume a strictly online one, where I watch her for free or something lol. I don't see how this would work to ask a client this.

So my questions are

1. Do people actually go for this?

2. Has anyone experienced something like this.

3. No I am not in love with her. I know and appreciate the fantasy, would I be willing to meet? Sure, but I understand the boundaries.

I don't offer services for a flat fee, because in my first year when I did I noticed that if there are not time constraints, people tend to take advantage. I have talked to models who take flat fees, per month from men, for either girlfriendexperience, or Sub. Again, that is something which is brought up directly by the client, usually, and not the model. I don't offer it, because I want to avoid any sense of obligation, so I always go with set prices for time-limited sessions only.

This thing you're describing doesn't sound legitimate; it sounds like a scam. Personally, I wouldn't meet up with anyone who may have tried to opportunistically scam me, but then dropped the idea. Because they are just waiting for a vulnerable moment or another opportunity. Even if you were to become friends, they'd likely make a shitty friend in the long run.

Ya. I guess that much tokens could give the impression that I'm loaded. I don't think there is a way for models to track all token giving by members, so there isn't a way for her to see everything I've given in a certain month. I only know how much I gave last month because of statbate lol. But you can't track users on there. Wow rabbit hole I didn't know I was gonna go down. Lol.

I would never travel there anyways to meet. Romania yes, it's a beautiful country, but not to meet a random off the internet. Got enough sense lol. And I'm not about to send that much money. But thanks for your reply.

And again, I could not care less what she makes, I really want to know why they use these strategies, instead of just being themselves. Why the extra work. Is it actually worth it. I've followed plenty of models that just do a good show and it works fine. Maybe she is struggling and I read to much into it. I don't know. All I'm saying about the tracking sites is that it's easy to find out if you want. I usually use them to see how much I did. Cause the cam sites don't always give us the information in an easy to read way. And yes, occasionally I'm curious what a popular model may have made.

A wise or smart person would realize that it’s a waste of time and mental energy to try to figure out how much a model makes and if she is struggling financially or not.

I’ve always thought it was weird when members base how much or little they tip/spend on a model on how much they assume they make. Not that it really matters, but I figured it’s worth pointing out, different people have different expenses based on their lifestyles and where they live. Let’s say there’s two models both making $8k a month. One lives in a small, rural town where the cost of living is cheap and has no children. The other lives in LA and has three kids. The former model would probably consider that great money, while the latter might be struggling financially. Ultimately, none of that should matter to the viewer, though. You’re there to have a good time, the model’s finances shouldn’t be of any concern to you.

It’s also not a game to encourage people to buy your videos, tip offline or do privates. It’s part of your work as a cam model. Especially when you’re camming on MFC and camscore is a huge factor when it comes to visibility on the main page.

I think these types of situations (models saying they’re struggling and asking for more money) tend to get overly complicated when the solution is really simple. Tell her “I’m not comfortable with this”. That’s it. No need to explain yourself. And then, keep tipping and visiting her room if you enjoy her show. If she is pushy about it and it’s making you uncomfortable, leave. You don’t owe anyone an explanation on why you no longer want to visit their room. Go to another model who you can enjoy your leisure time with.

the amount I am currently making would have me living like a queen in the Midwest or any rural area of the USA. I had a 1500 sq ft house on this income, in Florida, with a pool and a hot tub. my mortgage payment then (bought in 2020) was HALF my current rent now.

Now, In the area I currently live in, I am teetering close to living above my means in a one bedroom apartment.

My neighbor earns double what I make and has a 2 bedroom apartment. She’s living beyond her means right now because her sister has put 40k on a CC they shared, she supports her very ill nephew and her dog just had a 12k surgery she expected insurance to cover but they denied it.

My other neighbor and friend I hire sometimes recently quit her corporate job to start a new business. Her wife was going to support them with her job. 1 month ago making the bed she threw her back out. She’s currently in hospital, paralyzed with no bladder or bowel function and no real answers or surgical options. They have shitty insurance and I’m about to launch a go fund me to help cover their rent this month.

There are a lot of shitty people out there. Some are from traumatic pasts, and others are just shitty. People who aren't shitty aren't ever going to understand the mindset, so there's no point in even trying.

For a long time, I was obsessed with crime and trying to figure out how people could commit certain crimes. I wasted years of mental energy trying to figure it out, until one day it dawned on me that I never will. That's the one. Studios have metrics to meet OP. Some fine the model for not selling enough content or not smiling enough, others take such a large cut the model is left with scraps. They can be fired at any time, for any reason and once they are fired the studio uses a standin model who will never broadcast to get her permanently banned from the site. Because god forbid she go independent and make a name/life for herself. It's a very very different game, OP.

I tip based on how I enjoy myself with the model. That's it. If I like the model I tip more, if I'm only in there to see what they are about, then I tip less. I happen to enjoy myself with this model, so I tip her more. I truly don't care about her financial status, and I tip the regular no matter what story I get. And as for this one. Lol. Yes I understand how it works for studios vs indies. I get that, and up until now, I firmly believe she is independent. Can I verify that? No of course not. Have to take her at her word. The big signs are there that she is indie. She uses a laptop can to stream, carries it around the apartment, doesn't maintain "normal" studio hours... But you never know these days, I feel like there has been a huge surge In studio models. Or maybe I just paid attention more to those signs lately.

And last thought on this one, ya'll need to move. You are paying to much for rent. Goodness I'd los my mind. Ya'll have to have a good reason to stay in those. areas. I left Socal as soon as possible. Was way to expensive 8 years ago, I can only imagine now. But I get it, family, weather obligations. Some people can't leave.

I know you’re not going to go the PayPal route from what you’ve posted here, but just wanted to throw this out there (in case anyone stumbles across this thread and thinks it’s a good idea) that doing that could also put the member’s account at risk too. Paying for “digital sex services” is a huge TOS violation that they don’t take lightly, and even just sending money to a cam model/sex worker as a tip or to help out can jeopardize your account as well as hers.

And last thought on this one, ya'll need to move. You are paying to much for rent. Goodness I'd los my mind. Ya'll have to have a good reason to stay in those. areas. It’s definitely not that easy, and unfortunately because of the economy and housing crisis, rent has gone up almost everywhere. Even where I used to live, rent has became outrageous. I normally don’t like to post actual numbers, but just for a bit of context, ten-ish years ago my rent was $850 with ALL utilities included for a very small one bedroom apartment in a quiet area of a very well known tourist city. I’m still friends with one of my old neighbors from that place who still lives there and he’s told me that the rent is now $1,250 with no utilities included. That’s more than a 50% increase. And even then, that’s a huge steal for that city. In most bigger cities these days, you can’t find any rentals whatsoever at that price.

I don’t live in California, but the state I live in now is relatively expensive compared to a lot of other states. But even though the cost of living is higher, it’s offset by the quality of life here. I personally would rather live somewhere that is nice, has plenty of things to do, good transportation and close to everything I need/want, etc than move to a more rural area where I’d pay less but be unhappy.

For giggles, I looked up the apartment I moved out of 9 years ago. When I left, they raised my rent from $800 to $1100 over a 5 year period. The last time a significant increase because a new property management company took over and they wanted to turn key apartments and charge new market rates for where I was.

The apartment was:
- 840 square feet
- 1 bedroom
- washer/dryer connections
- overlooked the pool and clubhouse
- third floor unit

That apartment, today, is $2198 a month.
