What is your favo topping?
My fave is loaded pepperoni, with Hawaiian a close second. If I buy pizza then I usually go for a thinner base.
As I've gotten older, I find a lot of bread just makes me feel bloated, testing shows no allergy or intolerance, but let's just say I'm better off limiting it.
I've been making sourdough bread at home, which is much better for me (as above), and use it for pizza base too.
I had a guest who avoids meat, so I made her a vegetarian pizza with thinly-sliced potato, sweet potato, rosemary, red onions, and crumbled feta drizzled with hot chili-infused oil.
It was a great hit, and I have to say (despite being a meat-lover) I preferred it to the one I made for myself :)

First we gotta start with cheese, shredded provolone or no dice. At worst I'll accept provolone and a mozzarella mix.

Then pepperoni, Canadian bacon (triangles), black olives, green bell peppers.

Thin or New Yorl style crust.

Think my favorite ben and jerry flavors are milk & cookies, strawberry cheesecake w graham cracker swirls, and cannoli
Tiramisu, Everything But..., and Cherry Garcia

I felt the cannoli could have used something else in addition.

I've kinda come back around on apples and oranges. They're just about the only fruit I have easy access to, so I guess it's mostly a reacquired taste. I still prefer a nice pear, but finding a nice pear seems almost exotic in its rarity for my life.

I’m revisiting oranges in the form of cuties or halos now.

It's nice that they're so available these days, especially during the holidays and winter months. A little brightness in the cold and dark.
There's something very satisfying about peeling them. Both the citrus scent and the fingertip feel of it.

I find if I buy a bag of them, there are 2 or 3 that either are funky inside or aren't sweet enough though.

I'm very into honey glow pineapples. Very sweet and you get a ton of fruit.
I will pick one up next grocery trip if they're around, that sounds delightful

What I like the most about it is that pineapple, when cut, has the longest shelf life of any fruit. You know those cut up fruit bowls in the produce section and it's like $6 for one pound of pineapple? A whole pineapple cut up gives you FOUR of those bowls. FOUR and it's like $3.

I always pick one that has only a little green near the pokey green leaves and is golden the rest of the way down. UNF. Happy happy pineapple yums.

Chunks are too big or they left too much of the core...yep. :) I hope you are able to find and enjoy one!

OH and one more tip, twist the leaves off and then turn it upside down to rest for 30 minutes to redistribute the juices to the whole flesh.

I'm going to merge both recent updates, and make burgers with a pineapple ring.
Known here is Aus as 'burger with the lot'. Includes sliced beetroot, a fried egg (has to be runny yolk) and that all-important pineapple. Yum.

I had two medical procedures this afternoon that required me to go on a clear liquids diet all day Thursday and this morning. My "last" meal on Wednesday night was steamed crabs with melted butter and white vinegar. 😍

Having to go all day Thursday and this morning without "real food" sucked, but my lemon-lime Jell-O and those tasty Outshine pina colada popsicles got me through it. I might start buying those popsicles more often. For a brief moment, they had me imagining I'm back on Siesta Key Beach with a non-alcoholic pina colada. And now that song is stuck in my head.....

It was nice being able to have a Dunkin' Mango Pineapple refresher again.

I'm so sad. My favorite Mexican restaurant closed. Not because of ICE or anything like that, just the economy and the owners were kind of starting to get up there in health ailments and such and I guess the kids didn't want to take over (don't blame them, really). Hindsight 20/20 and all that...the signs were there. Food quality was increasingly less but somewhat satisfactory. On the last visit, the owner didn't even ask if it was okay or if we needed anything else. Can't help but wonder what will go in it's place. Hopefully a new restaurant that's just as good.

It's such a shame when a family-owned business closes the doors, especially if it's replaced with a chain outlet.
Fingers crossed it's a good opportunity seen by another local to take over.

It happened to a great local restaurant by me. The owner said he couldn’t keep up / compete with UberEats because everyone just picks a well-known chain over his place and he couldn’t survive with a few regulars alone. A shame.
