If you want someone's respect then you not only have to show them respect but also show respect to their friends I guess.

Is this aimed at a specific model or everyone?
Were the friends in question not worthy of respect?
Is this statement genuine, or rife with sarcasm?
Do you want this post to be seen by the person(s) it's aimed at or are you posting this under a blanket of anonymity?
What did you do/say to disrespect these friends of a friend?
Is this post a de facto apology?
If so, who are you apologising to?
What prompted you to arrive at this realisation?

:?

Well... duh

That's a basic premise of reasonable social behavior. It's unfortunate that you feel like you've just glimpsed the matrix upon receiving the, "If you want someone to like you, you shouldn't be a dick to their friends" revelation - but congrats on lurching forward in your emotional evolution!

Yes, of course.

You don't have to like their friends, but you can't be instigating fights with their friends either. I'm not saying that's what YOU did...I'm just talking about in general.

I had to ban this asshole once, because he came into my public chat and called my model friend 'ugly' (she was there in my chat when he said it). I guess he thought that kissing my ass while insulting my friend was gonna get him brownie points, but he was mistaken. I was absolutely horrified, and I banned him immediately.

O_O how come you didn't know this basic? XD

Yup.

I gave my chatroom a little lecture yesterday on how I expect them to act in other models' chatrooms. If you're a regular of mine, I expect you to never drop my name in another girls room, especially paired with a put-down. I even banned someone on Twitter last week for making a rude comparison between me and a model friend who I had just tweeted nice things about.

I don't like when people who are nice to me are rude to others, especially those who I talk to daily. You don't have to love the people who I like, but you do need to be respectful. And if you can't handle that, and you don't like my friends, then don't visit their chatroom. ;)

It seems from the  emote that you're confused by this, which makes me feel even less badly about banning you.

I just appreciate that the message was cryptic and confusing in one sentence.

being a "dick" in any models room is reason enough for being BANNED , but you must realize that "most" models have developed online friendships with other models that you may not like as much and to trash talk about them without knowing exactly who they are friends with (they can PM quicker than you can try and apologize, as OP has found out) can have grievous consequences and put a big damper on your "perving" habits, ie.. losing the privilege of viewing a model you do like. Caution (just don't do it) is the watchword to prevent these types of actions as a result of your STOOPIDITY. :twocents-02cents:

Yup. Most of my model friends have access to immediate PM, MFC mail, email, and Twitter @ or DM, so as soon as they realize what's happening, I know about it and deal with it accordingly. I mean, FFS, Candie even has my PHONE NUMBER... don't mess with her if you're one of my friends.

And honestly, anyone who has spent anytime in my room knows who the models are that I adore and consider friends, so really... just... really. Behave yourselves.

LOL you wish... but just saying if she really needed to contact me for something, she has every way to access me possible.

I saw a model I recognized from the forums camming from one of the cons, so I popped into her room. Turned out she is good friends with someone who I had a huge public fight with, but I kept everything positive and stayed on my best behavior. If I had been a dick about it when I learned I would have just been banned and lost the chance to be friends with a cool person.

Did CC call you and say I had been a naughtymoose? :-D

I'm not objecting or questioning the ban btw I sent the apology on mfc and made this thread to acknowledge what happened because it felt the right thing to do.

Bye

Well, having a passive aggressive strop isn't going to help your cause, is it now? Here, I'll throw you a bone...

I think what Cheeser MEANT to say, was....

"I'm sorry. My apology was genuine and I'm sorry if it came across as being anything other than genuine. I made a mistake, and I now see the error of my ways. Furthermore, I intend to learn from that mistake and change my ways going forward"

It's not that hard, yo ;)
