Hey guys, so I have a question: what kind of makeup do you like wearing on camera. Do you have a specific style you always go for, or do you very it depending on the mood? Do you go for a more classic approach, or do you go out of the box and experiment with more unusual colors?

I wrote a short blog about the perfect makeup, for me, and I would love to hear other opinions on it.

clown whore.

In person, it's one notch down from full drag makeup. On camera, though, I look like a glamorous goddamn goddess. And a red lip is mandatory. If I dare to try a different lip color, I make no money for some reason. Drives me bonkers, because I look so cute with a coral lip, but red is apparently my brand.

I wear a lil eyeliner and lipstick. I wouldn't even bother with that, but I always get super blanched on cam. Those two additions seem to help my camera figure out what's going on, and everything seem normal.

I can't really wear much else or I get severe acne. I haven't found a makeup yet that got along with my highly sensitive skin.

I go for an easy 90's porny/stripper eye, with black eyeshadow, white powder all over the browbone (like, over the black stuff), a little white liner under the eye/on waterline with a smide of black powder under that as liner. I can't do heavy liner because I'm squinty. Then, bright blush and red lips. So, I guess it's clown whore meets perfect makeup...

Being a little, I always go for big simple doll eyes. ( Not simple at all but yoooo )

- Foundation
- Blush, Bronzer, Shimmer, & maybe darken brows ( depends on how I feel I guess lol )
- Basic eyeliner only on top eyelid
- HUGE FLASHY EYELASHES

Ta-Da.
In person it's so garbage, but my camera makes it look so good.
Gotta always keep in mind that your makeup can really affect how lighting hits your features. So I use a ton of shimmer under my eyes to help the camera make my eyes look bigger ( more innocent look ).

Whats make up?

I honestly just draw some of my eyebrows on and slap under eye concealer on and call it a day. SOMETIMES I'll wear mascara lol. My best fried told me I didn't need makeup at my wedding and she's a clip maker. I don't even know why I was wearing it. I look SUPER young, my skin is great I just have under eye circles. So I just conceal them and literally call it a day.

Also I do not cam, I am a clip maker which my stuff shows up way more and I'm fine.

I actually find even though my flaws show up more on a high quality camera I still look great with little to no makeup. Probably because I actually look like myself. I don't know if you wore makeup when you did cam but I don't think I will end up wearing much for clip making either.

but... If I try to go on cam without makeup I look like I have the plague. My super dark brown lashes and brows suddenly no longer exist. My super high and defined cheek bones disappear into some weird featureless face that does not resemble my own and my dark under eye circles which aren't bad in real life look like black eyes. Web cams are not kind to me.

So to answer the OP's question I wear total whore makeup. It's so bad that if I want to have food delivered I wait until I wash it off.

First 2-3 years of camming was full makeup

Now, toned down about 75%. Quick fill of eyebrows, primer + foundation, mascara and subtle lip tint (using lipstick and lightly dabbing it on my lips and sweeping with my finger).

Saves me time, products last longer and taking off isn’t a mess lol.

Very "instagram," lil goth-inspired in there at times as well. Big eyebrows, over-contoured, lots of reds and blacks, fat lashes, baked, 5lbs of highlight. I hate camming with a natural look, I only do it when I run out of time or am particularly lazy that day.

I don't use much at all. Very natural with just some eyeshadow and blush and some redish lipstick. Mascara and eyeliner always smear almost immediately for me so I've just given up on them a long time ago in general. I'm considering trying out some lashes though. I also wear dark rimmed glasses so that is probably more noticeable than my makeup I suppose.

I tend to either do a full on face of make up, or just fill in my brows and put some mascara and lip gloss on, both looks get equal amounts of attention and comments, so I try and do them on alternate days :p

I agree! When I go out in public with my cam makeup, I literally turn heads. I look like a total prostitute lol. But on cam I look amazing and the red lip has proven to make me wayy better tips. People will tip just to compliment my lipstick

I define my eyebrows nicely with a cheap eyebrow pencil. I wear a shit ton of foundation. I line just the top of my eye, with some neutral eyeshadow. (dark on the outer corners, white on the inner corners). Then I do a red lip! I really like liquid lipstick. I think I get Revlon brand.

Normally I'll add a little blush or contour. Cover up any red spots on my face. I wish I knew how to accentuate my freckles though.
And I tend to focus more on my eyes/eyebrows because they're my favorite part of my face. So I go for things like, smoky eyes and eyeliner and like, lip balm or nude lip color for my lips. I've considered more colorful lipstick but I don't think it really matters; it doesn't change my mouth skills. Off camera I'm normally too lazy to put on makeup unless it's a special occasion, photo shoot, or a rare mood strikes me.

My cam makeup takes a hot minute to put on, but I'm getting faster. I am literally sculpting my cam character through makeup for when I perform. It is using techniques from drag makeup, which celebs like the Kardashians also copy. I am a testosterone-based human so I have to cover up facial hair areas, which can be a huge pain. I do a youtuber-trendy-wow eye with a liquid cateye always, crisp eyebrows, mascara, foundation, contour, highlight, blush, and my signature is red lips as well which I overdraw. Everyday is a bit different colour and tone-wise, but these are my staples. Lately I've been going out after with these looks OMG too many heads turning, but my friends love it.

I don't wear any makeup. I tend to not wear any makeup whatsoever while live streaming as well as producing any/all of my content thus far. I get many viewers commenting on my natural appearance. Do whatever makes you feel great about yourself whether that be wearing makeup or not. Being yourself and having self-confidence is what I find most attractive.

I'm pretty new, but my style so far has been my usual makeupwear, but with tons more blush, and some semblance of eye shadow (which I suck at - usually I only wear winged eyeliner and mascara). Making vids has been good for my self image, because it motivates me to wear makeup, and I always feel prettier when I wear it. My sister once bought me a blush that ended up being frighteningly bright pink, but it works really well on camera lol.

I wear a different make-up depending on the lighting.

My goal is not to do a "glam" look but to make all my facial features visible while looking as natural and desirable as possible. At night I do mood lighting and C-920s are notorious for their lack of saturation in low light conditions so I wear heavier make-up than I wear when I cam during the day with natural light.

I have experimented with everything and here are a few things that work for me:

1) I wear a primer but no foundation. I realized foundations age me because they make fine lines and shadows more visible on cam.

2) I do light contouring powder on the nose to define it (otherwise it is invisible) and the edges of my face to give my face dimension.

3) On the lips I wear a coat of benetint and then I fill them out with a mix of lip-liners. This is the combination that lasts the longest without hving to constantly touch it up. I use different lip liners to do lip contouring and sometimes I will use a white eye liner on my lips, I draw vertical lines with it and smudge them to make the lips look plumper without having to use a gloss.

4) I do natural eyeshadow colors, mascara, and maybe winged eyeliner. I always put a drop of Visine A in each eye to make the whites whiter.

If I am doing taboo stuff, kind of over the top Milf makeup to make myself look a little older. Heavy blush and contour, neutral eye, fake lashes. Femdom I get a little gothier. Heavier eyeliner, typically a dark smokey eye, dramatic lashes, contour. It's really very individual. I think I might be the one person alive who haaaates highlighter on myself so I don't use it.

I think it depends with what best goes with your look. If you’re aiming to go for the young innocent look, obviously a lighter fresh face of make up would be best. Although under lighting on cam you always need to put a little extra stuff on for it to pop (I think)
I like to go from quite natural makeup to sometimes a very “dressed up” going out look with Smokey eyes and a nude pinky lip. Or a classic red lip I think Is lovely with winged eyeliner. I always apply blush but never worry too much about highlighter as it can make you look sweaty!

I do my usual day to day make up which is primer and concealer, mascara and then winged eye liner if I'm not lazy, then before cam I freshen up (I log on at night and so I start with whatever I put on earlier) then add tons of blush and a bit of contouring. Blush is a must unless I want to look ghostly white. My skin tone isn't even that pale but with the amount of lights I usually am washed out. Oh and I always have lip balm on hand or I will walk off screen to find it haha I hate the feeling of dry lips.

What fake eyelashes do you wear? I've been looking for some that won't Hit my lenses when I wear them.
