Making friends with other models

So my 1st cammiversary is coming up and I feel that I've been in the MFC community long enough to have somewhat of a presence among members, but not so much among other models.. I would LOVE to start making some friends I can chat with but I'm not really sure how to go about that on MFC, so I thought here might be a better place to start Anyway, how did you guys make your camming friends?

Welcome to ACF! I would say most of my camming friends came from interacting on ACF/social media. It's a lot more casual that way. I think inboxing cammers randomly to be friends as the first move while might seem nice it can be a bit pushy/ annoying since we're all fairly busy people and interacting here on ACF/twitter/tumblr is more laid back.

I TOTALLY agree, the last thing anyone wants to do is come off as awkward or annoying. I have had models inboxing me when I first started out and had the "New Model" status but that faded quickly as the appropriateness did

I used to hang out in other models' rooms but I think ACF/social media/conventions are the best place to make model friends. I made a friend that I met in IRL then later we roomed together in Vegas for AVN and she invited two of her model friends that I ended up becoming friends with.

Well, that explains why I had a hard time making friends when I cammed on MFC. I don’t do social media so interacting on twitter or Snapchat is ruled out and 99% of models ban other models from entering their room, so my only option was to inbox them. There is something to be said about cultural differences though... American models were all really stand offish and the interactions felt awkward, like I had to really work at it to get a reaction, super weird. Aussie models are super warm on the other hand.

On Chaturbate is much much easier, I have made a ton of model friends because it is less competitive and since models keep the tokens until you cash them out everyone has tokens laying around to tip other broadcasters, I meet them in their rooms and interact with them there, then if we like each other we exchange IM or email addresses.

interacting with other models via social media, especially on twitter has proven to be quite effective in my experience.

My first few were from either meeting them in my room or in theirs; Im pretty close with a few now, not sure if it's because Im on CB or not but it is lovely to support from 'coworkers'. But ya you'll run into a lot more here and on twitter as well.

I have a couple friends who are models, but I didn't actually meet them via the cam site.

One couple I know is actually hugely popular on Streamate. I met the guy years before. He got me into camming, then he met her and they started dating and camming together.

We've always talked about doing threesome shows. We've actually done a threesome!

I also got another friend of mine into the business, but she isn't quite as popular as my friends and I. Still. It's nice having people to commiserate with.

Hah, ya same I never used it for personal but started one up a few months after I started caming; its actually a really good tool for the business. One place to link all the sites you're on and the members from them.

I actually made friends through the niche I'm in. I identify as a BBW model so I guess I lucked out and just befriended the other BBWs. Then I joined a private Discord server for BBW models and it snowballed from there. Discord has become much more mainstream, even in porn so maybe join a server. For those who don't know, Discord is basically a chat app on mobile or PC where people create servers (chatrooms) about anything under the sun. You can either be invited to a server or start one yourself and invite others through a link. I know there's one for models (not necessarily BBWs) but I don't know the link for it.
