I am a guy interested in calming and have tried cams.com a bit, but I hate the idea of that tax situation. There are no deductions or anything and I dont know ape shit about filing and taking care of these kinds of taxes. It would be nice if deductions were made for me. Based on these things I dont know if calming or any type of independent contractor work is right for me. A shame too based on the potential money.

Seriously? Taxes aren't really that complicated. And there's no way a camsite would take deductions out for you- that'd make you their employee, and they'd have to provide benefits to you. That'd make a whole lot of complications for them.
I know taxes aren't hard, its the deductions I have to make myself and correct quarterly payments to the infernal revenue service that worry me.

I'm sure other models can chime in with previous tax years expierences?

I hate to sound harsh but it sounds like he probably kind of doesn't have the chops. If he is saying camming isn't for him based on such a small and easy thing, then I wouldn't be sure he really can handle the hard work and dedication that camming requires. If he isn't willing to hire a CPA or do some Googling in order to take advantage of camming, then it sounds like he's already made the decision.

I would be willing to hire a reputable CPA and obtain information that is in layman's terms. I have attempted on more than one occasion to make money from direct sales as extra income to my part time job (I'm in college). I enjoyed it, but getting people to purchase expensive products from these types of businesses in this economy is not easy so I never made much off of it. I then tried being a guide for chacha (who fucked me over, I got to busy to mess with it for a while and then when I went to start again my account was gone). I do know there is like a cutoff of $600 for these self taxes. From my research, it is also apparent that a safe bet for hold back on each check is around 30-35% plus taxes for self employment and state taxes. More research is needed on my part before I undertake any independent contractor work, but I am figuring it out I think. One way or another I will.
