I don't understand why they shortened some of the rules.
"Discussing or arranging prostitution or escort services." became "Escorting, prostitution, solicitation." How does that make anything clearer?
The same with "Illegal drugs, or drugs that may be perceived as illegal in other locations. (e.g. Medicinal marijuana)" ---> "Illegal drugs."

I like that they replaced "pain" as a forbidden thing with "non-consensual pain", it was about time.

It's about fricken time! With the recent sighting of the 18+ popup page (I don't see it now) I knew it was only a matter of time.

Whoa... I'm obviously way behind here...

I know, lol, I think nobody has seen this. Maybe we should title it differently (and link it in another much more active thread so more cam girls see it...)

GENIUS! I feel like this is a super HUGE deal for the MFC camgirl community and as surprised I only just heard about it.

I'm guessing that it means that while escorting is still forbidden, chatting about the subject is not. It was silly to make the subject itself taboo.

I'm surprised this slipped by us, back in October, but it was pointed out to me that while the Rules for Models page has been updated, the Rules and Guidelines page page http://wiki.myfreecams.com/wiki/Rules_and_Guidelines has not been.

It also has a Rules for Models section which states:
In Public Chat, sexually-explicit conduct is NOT allowed. It is impossible to define this term with perfect accuracy, but here are some examples of conduct that would not be allowed: using sex toys, genital penetration of any kind, masturbation, using the camera to "zoom" into genitalia, and other things of this sort.

There is also a page defining Hardcore http://wiki.myfreecams.com/wiki/Hardcore
I did find it and submit it to mfc suggesting they update it a few weeks back. They haven't touched it.

Hardcore content is notoriously difficult to define but here are some examples of things or actions that MyFreeCams.com may consider Hardcore:
Vaginal or anal penetration with fingers, toys, sexual devices, or other items.
Cunnilingus (oral sex between women)
Spreading of the vagina or anus.
Extreme zoom (close-up view) into the vagina or anus.
Squirting (female orgasm)

Where is Hardcore NOT allowed?

Everywhere else, particularly:
Free chat or public chat, even if the model has received a Tip.
Images uploaded to MyFreeCams Profiles.
Avatars

So its nice they updated one page, but there are these two that still need updated so the rules are consistant.

Ahh, THAT must be why some people have argued with me when I told them the rules had been changed!

Probably that, or they're the people who always think they're right.

My only guess is maybe it's to be more to-the-point for members whose first language isn't English. Since many different parts of the world have completely different syntax "illegal drugs" should be something everyone should be able to understand clearly.

EDIT: Wait, shit. Fuck. Old thread. Oh well, point still kinda relevant. :shifty:

Okay, so they've removed the section in Rules and Guidelines that Swaries123 cited, which forbids "sexually-explicit conduct" in public chat. That leaves the Hardcore page. Maybe they'll get to that in another few months ...

its ok, the hardcore page is a little tougher to find.
Rules and Guidelines is linked right from the front page of the wiki.

I'm impressed, updating the wiki on New Years Eve.
behold the power of ACF, (cue evil laugh)

lol, this has to be related to the drama-that-shall-not-be-discussed.

I can only imagine they've hit a record amount of report emails (models-reporting-models, members-reporting-models, models-reporting-members) ... and we're barely 2 weeks into the New Year!

Isn't the Escorting Rule just a "weasel word" for MFC so that they aren't violating promotion of prostitution laws?

In what way would you consider a prohibition of "escorting" a promotion of "prostitution"? Do you have a problem processing verbal information?

Members and models occasionally violate the rule, i've even seen a few advertise escorting services on their profiles. By making a rule against it, they prevent themselves from getting possible prostitution promotion charges.

MFC admins don't monitor everything 24/7 and only step in when there is a complaint so if a member solicits a model for escorting/prostitution services or commercial services it will go unnoticed until someone rats either of them out.

You ask very odd and creepy questions. You seem hyper focused on models meeting members and receiving money outside of the site.

How is it odd? I've seen many models opening advertising escort and meetings for tokens. So I thought the rule was some kind of weasel word rule to prevent MFC from getting in trouble.

Are we not allowed to bring up certain things we noticed on cam sites on here?

I think the odd part is you're bringing up EVERY thing.

I'm not bringing up everything in regards to cam industry, and I thought this was a place to discuss different aspects of the cam industry. All the members and models on here seem way to uptight about so many things.

I'm not being creepy, since just questioning things doesn't make one a creep.

Here are some of the things that are alarming. You:

Debated why models should offer up their personal info for money;
Suggested that models are “extreme” and overly cautious about protecting their identity;
Suggested that women have “mass hysteria” when it comes to rape;

I can not put my finger on exactly what it is that is creepy about you. It's just my opinion. But, I am just a woman who is likely just over protective and hysterical.

So creepy/creep is really the ACF version of trolling/trolls? Where anyone that doesn't hold the same exact point of views is labeled that until they are changed to conform to how everyone else thinks?

The fact that both men and women are raped at the same rate, yet much more women are worried about being raped everytime they walk outside, just shows that the media has promoted a mass hysteria in women.

And I wasn't referring to not giving out real email+name+address as being extreme, but the whole encryption, vpn, playing radio stations from another state etc, even being worried about people knowing the time zone your located in as being what is somewhat extreme.

What experience do you have as a sex worker that the lengths we go to to protect ourselves are extreme? You are all over this forum asking questions to gain knowledge, so you say....so clearly you are not informed. What is your basis for saying it is extreme?

Being so worried about privacy that if someone finds out even the time zone that you live in you panic is extreme.

Actually that shows your naivete on the subjects you're making blanket statements on. Time zone is rather critical. You see the members that models here are worried about REMEMBER that little tidbit. Then a few months later when the model mentions another innocent little tidbit 'that only paranoid women would worry about,' like it's thunder storming outside, they remember that too. Then a simple national weather map showing all the thunderstorms going on, which is nothing by itself, can be used to narrow down the search to a tiny portion of a state. Because there may be 12 thunder storms going on across the nation, but only 1 or 2 in that time zone.

Then a while later some other tidbit is mentioned or posted to twitter or shown in her room... All these things taken individually cause naive people like you to ridicule other people with more common sense. But to anyone with a keen ear and a desire to find a lady they are simply clues to narrow down the search.

This has happened before. That alone proves you don't know what you're talking about. There's whole threads on stalking. They detail all the ways it can be done to help prevent it. That's why any regular here who reads your statement there is just laughing their ass off right now.

The only affect that a camgirls personal privacy measures have on your life directly is stopping you from gaining the personal information they don't want you to have... so realistically, if you are this bothered by those measures that kind of instantly puts you in the creepy category... because why else would you give a fuck?

Ya see? The bigger the fit you throw about something like this, the scarier YOU seem.
also... you're way off on violent rapes and sexual assaults. I'm not gonna argue this, and I'm not saying men don't get raped but statistics show 1 in 6 women have been the victim of attempted or completed rape where as that number is 1 in 33 for men.

To say men and women are raped at the same rate is, just wrong.
