Time to look a bit deeper as to the repercussions to MFC when this hits International media as it will do.
A very huge spotlight will be thrown over myfreecams.com and the way the site is operated.
Can you imagine the public outrage that will be directed towards MFC as it is functioning in it's current state ?
And let's be real here, there is NO way to determine the age of guests and basics, so in theory while a model is inserting whatever object into her anus or vagina in a non closed environment 500 of those 600 guests could be minors ranging in age from 10 -17 for example.
I'm sure the anti porn and morale brigade would have a field day.
MFC has been walking a very fine line for many years regarding content displayed in free chat and has been lucky to get away with it.
Well, unless MFC changes pretty quick and actually starts enforcing the rules that let it operate as a " Social site " not a " Sex site " I think it will run the risk of being closed down.
And MFC can continue I believe as a social/adult cam site, whatever you want to call it as long as it looks forward and see's the time to evolve is needed.
Things like giving guests 10 mins access per day, basics 30 mins per day and prems not purchasing $20 of tokens at least every 2 months have the account terminated.
We have ended with rooms with a count of 1000 of which 850 are guests, 100 are basics and out of the 50 prems left only 3 tip towards the topic.
There's load's more I can think of but that's for another thread I think.

While I completely agree with you about that MFC operates in fashion which is barely legal, and is risking prosecution and lawsuits.
I doubt anything that involves sex and Thailand is going to raise an eyebrow. The country is notorious for sex trafficing, sex tourism etc.
The only thing I can imagine is some Thai MFC models going offline for a bit and even that would surprise me.

What I feel bad about is the fact there are still governments with draconian laws on the books and the need to interfere in the sex related activities of the people. Sex, the most fundamental activity for the survival of the human race BAR NONE. And yet it still has to be criminalized. That's what truly makes me sick about this. (and yes, I know the U.S., and its states, is not exempt from this stupid behavior)

There is no way to tell the age of visitors on MOST adult sites. Who cares legally speaking. They make you sign an agreement you are over 18. Legality problems over. MFC is fine legally. The same agreement will get you into playboy.com or hustler.com or THOUSANDS of other adult sites. They won't be changing the business model to force any such nonsense as paying every month or so. There's other sites that already do that and they aren't anywhere NEAR the traffic as MFC. Why would they change to a less profitable system when they are doing it legally now as is?

Nope. don't think anything about your post makes any sense whatsoever. Sorry if this seems rude but I'm a bit buzzed and just don't agree with you on anything.

Ironically, the porn busting police force in Thailand sounds a lot like all the moral crusaders in the US lambasting porn all the time. They watch it, constantly.

As to the drugs... from what I have been quickly reading, it seems a great majority of the 'porn busts' end up finding some sort of drugs on the premises. The pornography charges hold small sentences compared to the drug charges, so the police seem to almost always conveniently find drugs when they bust for porn.

And, while people always love to say the police in certain areas of the US aren't above planting drugs... in Thailand, it is even worse because corruption of police is rampant there. Even if you are paying off the right people in Thailand, if you're of European/African decent (IE white or black) the chances of you being raided will be higher, because they love to parade the non-Thai suspects in front of the cameras. Look at what they did here, as an example. All the non-Thai suspects are named and shown with their faces on camera, all the Thai suspects are unnamed and their faces are not shown. Hell, the three non-Thai suspects were up on stage with all the evidence for the press conference.

This is probably a case of either not paying off the right police, or the police who are getting paid off getting greedy and wanting to make an example of them, or someone higher up the bribery food chain not getting his cut.

There are a lot of places I would never visit in this world. And Thailand is pretty high up on that list. When you have to worry about the law coming down on you simply because you aren't born in that country, it's a definite stay the fuck away from place.

Now you I agree with. I'm pretty willing to travel anywhere in the world after I get my degree but Thailand and Saudi Arabia are not amongst the places. The college I go to right now has a 'sister school' program with a college in Thailand. They just built a brand new HUGE ten story tall building for classes. They offer classes in English and all the petroleum classes are accepted with this college. And It's cheap enough that even with airfare it's about the same cost as a semester here. Everyone here in the program keeps saying how awesome it would be to go. Only a short plane ride to so many different countries. I just keep smiling and agreeing with them. But in the back of my mind I'm thinking HELL NO! I'm not stepping foot in a country that reading a playboy or spitting on the sidewalk or even looking at one of their women wrong will land you in jail or get your hand cut off (I added Saudi Arabia into the mix there). Nope, don't need the money that bad. I like my freedom and hands.

As a developing country goes Thailand isn't too corrupt, ranked less than Greece, and much better than it neighbors. It is entirely possible that Mila and the guy weren't paying off the right people, it is also possible that when she started including Thai girls in her shows, alarms went off and the cops were doing their job. After all most of the sex trafficking involves Westerners. I am pretty sure none of us know.

But man you are really missing out to put Thailand on your no visit list. :( Bangkok, is a ton of fun, and the much of rest of the country beautiful. The people are extraordinarily nice, the girls lovely (and the only person I slept with while I was there was my girlfriend :) ).

I will say of the 40 odd countries and 49 states I've been too, Thailand has the best food hands down never had a bad meal there. Italy, and Tahiti are far down the list by comparison. Now I am hungry.

Thailand is still trying to live down the reputation that Bangkok is an anything goes type of place. Not years or decades but for centuries it's had the rep where life it cheap, you can buy or sell people like a pack of cigarettes and any kind of sex from pedo to snuff is available for the right price. So they are just doing due diligence when they crack down on stuff like this.
But ignorance of their law is no excuse, this & surrounding countries are places where caneing for minor infractions & cutting off of hands for stealing are commonplace.

She had a good run & skirted the law there for many years, maybe she lad a local cop or politician in her pocket but she should have gotten out long ago

Having been a number of times I would have to say you are really missing out, Thailand is a stunning country, friendly to the last. both rural and the "touristy" areas like Bangkok

There is a massive ex-pat population from both Europe and the USA in Thailand and thousands of tourists flock to he country every year, If you commit a crime, what exactly do you expect?

God your a angry bunny, take a chill pill. As much as I do not like Mila Milan that much she is a well known name in this industry and if she and her co-defendents face 20 years imprisonment I don't think it will go unnoticed. And Thailand being the 11th most visited country in the world certainly detracts from your derogatory statement. Clearly you don't understand the concept of visitors from Thailand to MFC is irrelevant. MFC is run as a US business with servers on US territory, myfreecams.com at some point during this case WILL be named as the web site which showed pre-made videos and live webcam sex shows and paid the defendants via international money transfer and IF the US media pick up on this story I doubt it will go unnoticed.

MFC will change nothing at all in response to this. Hell Leo may not even ever be aware of it.
Well as soon as it was confirmed Mila had been charged her profile was taken down. Leo was on and off MFC all day when this occurred and I'd be surprised he was not aware

Well go to livejasmin.com streamate.com streamray.com or flirt4free.com and tell me you can see a female performing an explicit sex show without providing a valid credit card as age verification.

There's other sites that already do that and they aren't anywhere NEAR the traffic as MFC. Why would they change to a less profitable system when they are doing it legally now as is?
Paying traffic is one thing, hundreds even thousands of guests/basic traffic is dead traffic. Legally they are operating as a "social site" which legally means NO masturbation, penetration, using sexual toys or devices, cunnilingus, or other Hardcore sexually explicit activity in a free chat area Now tell me you never see that in free chat.

Nope. don't think anything about your post makes any sense whatsoever. Sorry if this seems rude but I'm a bit buzzed and just don't agree with you on anything.
I think I explained quite diligently my point of view of the events and possible ramifications where as yourself seem to be nonsensical in your writing.

The bottom line, regardless of peoples feelings towards the person or country or that countries law enforcement is

Someone commited a crime

Someone got caught

Someone will have to take the consequences

:?

I know right?? :-D It's like when there's a big drug bust and they lay out all the drugs on a table as if to say "hey, look at all the drugs we got off the street! We're making the streets safer!". Only here the "danger" being cleared off the street isn't drugs, but... sex toys :?

Hey that evidence could be taken and used against her

I never get angry, just don't agree with your suppositions. Still don't.

MFC is not really a U.S. business as far as I know. Granted they comply with U.S. laws about minors and sex acts and such but according to their wiki they are Netherlands based, not U.S.. http://wiki.myfreecams.com/wiki/Terms_a ... _and_forum

As for the four websites you mentioned. What does that prove? You show me one website where I can't see explicit sex without a credit card I can show you a thousand where I can. So what? Those sites don't dictate MFC's business model. And I don't think this incident will change anything.

Pertaining to the scope of this event I could totally be wrong, you could be right. This could have earth shattering effects spreading to the far corners of the earth. Lives, and literally countries, might be shattered over a woman being arrested for having sex.

But outside of 'pattaya one' and the youtube video of the arrest I don't really see any news of this surfacing anywhere else. Perhaps you would be so kind as to post any of the BBC, New York Times, USA Today, Aljazeera, CNN, Associated Press, Agence France-Presse, Australian Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, Syrian Arab News Agency, or United News of India articles you have found pertaining to this issue. Because a quick search on all those sites turned up nothing whatsoever about it for me.

On a side note. 'Angry Bunny.' On a different forum (book related, nothing to do with webcams) I have my signature as 'The Fluffy Bunny of Vile Carnage.' A wee homage to Monty Python if you're familiar with the scene. So being called angry bunny did actually make me chuckle.

Sheesh. And people say that WOMEN are the ones always gossiping.....lol.

I get why people on here have lost respect for Mila (that whole thing with her rants about other models and whatnot). Now that she's been busted, I hope that those of you who find this all amusing do at least feel some sympathy for her babies. :(

I do. To tell you the truth I don't find it amusing in the least. I never really new Mila so I don't have any feelings about her being arrested one way or the other on a personal level. What concerns me more is it's kind of sickening in this day and age a woman can be arrested for having sex. That's the real annoying thing.

Well Google tells me this.

This is a legal contract between MFCXY Inc., an Illinois Corporation, with its principal place of business at 2123 Warwick Lane, Glenview, IL 60026 USA (hereafter referred as "MFC")

The Better Business Bureau says MFC is Illinois corporation with a rating of D.

And the model agreement says the laws are those of state of Illinois.

I think the wiki is wrong.

Age verification via credit card is the responsible thing to do, even if it lowers the number of eyeballs. MFC approach is to claim hey we are just a service provider, and pass all the legal responsibility to the model to handle under age viewers, copyright violations, local obscenity laws etc. So far they have gotten away with it we will see.

There are places in America where sex toys have to skirt the law, guys. There are state/city laws that vary greatly. The city raided a porn store I worked in and took ALL videos and toys once. After about 5 months of litigation, everything was returned.
Why didn't you just trap their fingers in a sex toy!

Let's not forget that part of the reason Thailand has such draconian laws is that it's an outraged reaction from the Thais over decades of western sex-tourism and child abuse/pornography. Extreme reaction? Perhaps, but imagine how angry you might feel if foreigners were constantly coming into your country to rape children.

And they also have a $1000 fine for possession of chewing gum. Sometimes an over reaction with reasoning behind it is still an over reaction.

The intrigue started with Mila announcing the BOOK. Next was sister Julia(?) Rose (the lawyer one) making big Romanian news for a gov't tax audit. posting.php?mode=reply&f=15&t=12619&sid=c5206a82ed6248bd33f8bafd35f90f42#
Fast forward to the birth of the Twins and the BOOK about to be published. The LBC (little boys club a.k.a. the skulduggery gang) are not about to cut off cash-flow lines, nor do they want bad press. Police vs BOOK is a no brainier; get the cops to do what is needed to put Mila in a hard place and make a deal.
Hopefully and most likely we will hear of some deal being made (details unknown as usual) for them to be kicked out of the country and lost in space. The is headed for oblivion with the LBC sighing in relief and all goes on just the way it was.
Things are not always as they appear to be; and being SOUL in a rented human suit, we are all inter-connected doing the best we can to be all that we can. MILA did, does and will do so with her new family and HOPEFULLY closure on another case of skulduggery at work.
Learn from the negative stuff and WORK-BE the positive for all the right reasons.
Namaste MILA Namaste

I'd like to post some of my thoughts.. apologies for the length :(
Here I go....

I wrote a post a while ago saying how much I admired Mila...and when she tweeted me to thank me, I got that great feeling you get when someone you look up to acknowledges your existence lol.
When the drama broke out, I didn't really want to post...it was hard for me to put together the model who extended her hospitality to other models to come visit her and live at her resort and who seemingly was supportive and helpful to others and part of the "sisterhood" to someone who was verbally attacking other models like An and Olivia. It all seemed very sketchy..the "book" with all the proof..but yet to see the proof we had to buy the book..but to buy the book we had to wait...Many, if not all, of the reasons she gave for her theory were meaningless (camming room looking like a student's dorm and taking a month long break after winning Miss MFC..it means nothing..least of all fraud)

The drugs they supposedly recovered...on one hand, it would explain the paranoid conspiracy theories that were being spouted about other top models. As someone who has been on meth (been clean for almost 10 years..I started off real young), I can say that everything fits.

An example...When I used to be high, I would look out the window and see three cars, two of them were blue. The clock said 2:17 and the day of the week was Thursday......BOOM! OMG! my exboyfriend is SPYING on me and planning to break into my place and rob me!! because two of the cars outside are BLUE and it's 2:17 on a thursday! And a piece of paper that' laying on the floor has BLUE ink on it!! asdfghjkl!!! In my mind, it made perfect sense..the dots were all connected...At the time, the ex boyfriend was a big part of my life. If camming had been a big part of my life, I would have probably come up with a bizarre conspiracy to do with camming.

On the other hand though, it is fairly well known that Thai Police like to plant drugs when they do raids such as this..because I'm sure most people find the whole sex and porn thing not to be such a serious crime as drugs..and crystal meth being the evil drug would definitely turn public opinion against the accused.

I'm curious (even though it's absolutely none of my business..but since we're sort of speculating here) as to why there is no mention at all of the children. I obviously know nothing about Mila's personal life or family...but from the previous posts I gather she apparently just had her twins..I don't even remember her being pregnant and she looks real fit now so don't know how old they would be..but I really hope they are okay and safe. I imagine they weren't at the resort when the raid happened.

Isn't there a death penalty for drugs in Thailand??!? I'm actually really scared for Mila... Maybe I'm naive, and perhaps it's easy to get out of trouble in Thailand if you have money... but I really hope she isn't used to make an example out of about foreigners, sex work and drugs...She is an Austrian national so hopefully she just gets deported to Austria..

It says that they claimed they didn't know the law and that they were doing anything illegal.. I remember seeing on one of Mila's sites that she invited photographers who wanted to shoot nudes to shoot at her resort and that she could procure Thai nude models..it mentioned something about nudity being very offensive in Thailand in it (but failed to mention it being at all illegal)..I guess she could maybe use that as showing that she was ignorant of the law..because she certainly wasn't being very sneaky or secretive if she was publicly posting that she was willing to use her resort as a studio to shoot nude video/photo material.

About this being an international scandal vs. just a small blip on the radar. I don't think it will be HUGE...BUT I do think it's more than about just Thailand. There are three people from three different European countries.. I would imagine that if there is a trial... or even before it gets to that, that Slovenia, the Netherlands and Austria will give at least some attention to it. I would imagine the accused will be appealing to their countries of origin to bail them out or help them in some way.

So in conclusion, while I had some reservations about some of the stuff Mila was posting recently, she was one of the first models that I watched and was intrigued by and I really meant what I said in that post about admiring her. While she turned out to be a bit different than I originally imagined her to be, I really, really hope that nothing bad happens to her and that she will only spend a little bit of time in the Thai prison before getting safely deported to Austria.

Again, sorry for the long post!

When I first heard about this I sincerely hoped it was a Milatm Top 20 publicity stunt. I am genuinely saddened to discover it wasn't. I was only glad that the report did not mention that any children had been discovered on the premises and that hopefully they are out of the way and in the charge of some responsible care-givers.

Mila is a brand new mother to twins and it must be incredibly distressing for her and her babies to be separated like this and go through the trauma and stress of this. The fact that Mila decided 3 weeks after giving birth was a good time to make a run for the top 20 is another matter but I really hope this is resolved with the minimum repercussions to her son and daughters and that they have a thoroughly boring and safe time of it. :(

At first I stayed clear as this topic read like "it's fake" turning into "yeah, she deserved it" before "oh this is serious". I'm glad to say that given the serious nature of her circumstances it appears people don't think she deserves it. I will point out why... by addressing "karma" which has been bandied round a bit - which I think it is a bit OTT (over the top).

She accused (without proof) some of being involved in money laundering. It may have gotten a bit nasty and heated. She didn't apologise or refute her claims when unable to support it with anything concrete (other than the read book claim :p ).

It would have been "Karma" if members had instead turned their backs on her for her claims, and her camscore and earnings dropped as a result. That would be Karma... given her claims.

Potentially being incarcerated for a period of up to 20 years should not be seen as "Karma".

She won't get a death penalty - whilst Thailand does have the death penalty - it is specifically to do with those dealing or trafficking drugs. She could get 1 year, she could get 20 years... or hopefully she'll just be deported as I personally think that'd be the least harsh.

I don't know Mila, and never cared for the superficial drama surrounding some "book" which is apparently earth shattering* to many and the associated claims of criminality (no offence to the community, but outside of here does anyone know/care about the "book"?).

Bottom line - she only has herself to blame for falling foul of the law - but I feel sorry for her predicament. She could land herself in prison for a very long time when in other countries she'd receive a slap on the wrist, a caution, a small fine or maybe a suspended/community sentence. Whilst she did seem to have some mini porn fest going on there, there are many girls posting who've sold sex videos (usually of them with their significant others) which would be seen as just as bad in the eyes of the Thai law.

It should also be pointed out that in the news report it said crystal meth was found in one of the other houses - although all three failed a preliminary drugs test (testing for presence of narcotics). Whether that meant in their house, or on their clothes/skin, isn't known. As said, Thai police pretty much get their way over there and planting things at the scene to create a watertight case (no jury, 3 judges, the police rarely fail to prosecute). The video clip appears very high profile for something that really doesn't appear to be. But lets not cloud it with "it's going to be international...". If it wasn't for someone watching her cam, we wouldn't have known about it. The fact there's an English speaking video of the media coverage by an amateur (seriously, worst voice recording ever) and our proximities to the story should not make us think it's more important/predominant than anything else. It may hit Dutch or Austrian headlines as it is their nationals involved... but I'd imagine only after sentencing. Even then, I'd be sceptical as they're not tourists falling foul per se - they've resided there for some time so isn't going to be seen as a potential risk to others of their nationality. Unlike the idiots who turn up and try to smuggle drugs out - and receive the death sentence.

*Earth shattering doesn't mean in the revelatory sense, but the "oh its going to damage the entire industry" sense. Maybe because I'm not American, but I always struggled to see why anyone would care/read it - let alone believe it verbatim.
