So I've never had this problem until tonight and it makes me really sad but has anyone else ever had a problem with models coming into their chat and trying to steal their members? I know there is a feature to ban other models but I have several friends who are models and they keep me entertained in my chat room so I don't want to have to ban all models.

Any suggestions?

Even banning models won't completely solve it. A certain model who I will leave unnamed came into CandieCane's chat on a premium account after Candie has gone off cam encouraging people who were bored now to come check her out. Then of course you still have idiots come into chat advertising that such and such model is doing something or is better etc. I've seen this is SEVERAL rooms. I'm afraid your best bet is to just ban the offenders if you can and be happy that most of your members (hopefully) stayed because they're more interested in chatting and/or perving on you. :-P

P.S. Most of the people who bailed on you in such a situation aren't the best members to have hanging out anyhow. Sure it may have cost you some tokens but doubtful it would be much and even more doubtful they'd become a regular of your room. I know it's annoying and I'm not saying let it happen. Just try to be less upset about it and more happy for those who stayed when it happens. :-)

I'm suprised some members go into the models room anyway, it must make her look so desperate! I mean, she must suck quite a bit if she can't get members herself and has to go steal someone elses members instead!

Also, I think people should name and shame the bad models/models premiums accounts that do that, so other models can ban them from their room to prevent it happening to them. I know Amber is against naming and shaming, but surely they deserve it for being so bloody rude?

It happens to me everynight lol dont take it to serious.I keep models unblocked so I can make and keep my model friends blocking them wont solve anything . Just ignore it my members make me laugh because they are telling me "theres a model in her telling me to go to her room for a good time "before i say anything they say somthing like yea a noo i would be in your room if i wanted to be . The members can do what they want more then likely if there your good friends or regular members there not going to disrespect you and take off on you for that but also they can if the are curious theyr not really "your" members. so yea just ignore it if she presist it does make her look very desperate

Yeah it's a pain in the arse and I've noticed it happening a lot more lately. I don't want to ban all model from my room because I like meeting new models and having friends visit. Luckily my regulars are pretty quick to tell me if a model is PM-ing them so I just send a PM with something along the lines off "fuck off" and ban the model.

My room is always open to models so this happens to me a few times a day, I don't stress it - it's more irritating for the premiums than it is me because I presume I'm not actually going to loose any premiums to promises of discount anal shows in another girls room. I keep my room open mostly so that new models can have a lil chat with me and I can direct them to the forums, the good that comes of it outweighs the bad. I've played dirty with a few repeat offender premium-poaching models and directed 300+ person rooms to pay their profiles a visit and "give a star rating you feel is appropriate". I also report all the dirty-tricks models to admin, I have no idea if anything ever happens to them as a result of the report, I just do it on principle.

Yeah, I can understand that it is annoying, but it's not that hard or time-consuming to ban individual models or premiums, and it gives your regs a chance to play white knight. They'll enjoy that, and it might even work in your favour.

It aint ever gonna stop happening, you'll just have to block models from your room. If they wanna come in they'll have to get a premium name for perving purposes. It sucks, but common decency doesn't exist on the internet, and sadly a bitch slap button hasn't been invented yet.

I believe that doing something like that from a model account is forbidden on MFC, but can't find proof right now. The best thing to do is just ban the spammers for 60 days and then do like Amber does and renew the bans every month on a set day. I would also report the models who spam to MFC admin in the slight chance that they would punish the spammers.

This sort of thing was a big deal in the early days of the online gaming industry, when most games were just text (MUDs) and very similar. It started all sorts of "MUD Wars" between games, with people stealing members, accusing of stealing members, etc. And this was when the games were hosted mostly on University computers and running for free (early days of the internet, mid 90s). So this was all about pride and bragging rights. Nobody's paycheck was affected even.

Games and their players are just like models and their members: you can't really steal a member or have one stolen. Every model is offering something different - her looks, her personality, the games or ways she entertains, etc. Every member is also looking for something different. The ultimate truth is that given enough time, members will find the models that appeal to them the most, and whether they find them by accident or with a nudge, the thing that is going to make them "change" is simply a better fit.

So just as I had to learn as a game developer, you can't take it personally. If someone prefers a different game, model, brand of cola, whatever, you can't really do anything about it. Getting upset that the customer found someone more suited to them is just part of the natural flow of commerce.

It's not that I'm upset really, just annoyed. Both of the models that I caught in my room chatting up some of the members were new so they really shouldn't have a problem getting members to come in. I don't see why they have to look for open model chats because from my experience most of the models chat rooms are blocked which means that they had to search through those rooms to find mine.

I don't have any problems with members switching rooms its just shady I think for other models to do that.

BTW thank you guys for responding to this. It's nice to have the support (for the most part) of my fellow models and members :)

No doubt. There should defintely be a certain level of professional courtesy between models. That's part of what this forum is about, right?

But unfortunately, for a whole variety of reasons, that kind of ethic is rare in most industries.
