So a few months ago I was averaging around 80-90 people in my room which would go up to 120+ during any activity. Then one day, like a light switch, my average users in my room dropped to 10. I see names I recognize entering my room over and over and over again… one guy entered my room for literally 2 hours straight, but they never register as being in my room. I thought maybe it’s because it’s summer and slow…. But like 3 times in this period my room worked like it used to and some regulars were happy to see me, saying “hey! Where have you been” or “long time no see” which confused me… I’ve been here, same time, same days, every week.
So this week I decided to stream earlier then I normally would and my room gets a lot more traffic then my normal hours… which is weird because when I first started I streamed at those earlier times but found the time I now call my regular hours to be a lot better for me. I also tried after I would normally sign off and having more traffic then also.
So does anybody know what’s going on? I understand summer is a slower season for this line of work, but I find it really weird that a) my regulars can’t find me anymore at my normal time b) can’t seem to register in my room if they can find me c)that I get more traffic at times I don’t normally stream at. Obviously I’ll be working the hours that have more traffic… I’ve just built a decent following at the time I normally stream and I feel like I have to start over again.
