My room won't pass 300 viewers anymore.

Since November of last year, my stream went from having an average of 750 viewers (up to 1400 some nights), to an average of 200 viewers. It seemingly happened overnight.

I didn't change anything. Same show, same settings, perfect connection, 4k, 100% thumbs up rating, all that. I used to sit around place 20-30 on page one for the majority of my stream. Now, I linger near the end of page one or the top of page two.

The strange thing is, my income hasn't changed. I average about 6k-8k tokens per hour on CB, back then and still now. But I notice I'm mostly being carried by regulars at this point. It is harder to attract new customers. When I do get new tippers, they are always commenting on how my low viewership doesn't make sense to them, and that I should be on the front page. Even the customers can see that something is wrong.

Is there anything I can do to increase viewership and visibility? I don't understand how the models on the front page have tens of thousands of viewers, but so many of them don't seem to make very many tokens. Why does CB's algorithm seem to be pushing some top earners' viewership down like this? I noticed several other models I watch have experienced the same drop in viewers around the same time, and theirs has not recovered yet either.

Are those models with high viewership using bot viewers to get there? Is it some special advertising? I would really like my room to get back to normal.

Is anyone here also going through this right now? Any advice or explanation is appreciated. Thanks.

Happy to know this hasn't affected your earnings.

Most rooms with 10k+ viewers are getting traffic from Chaturbate ads (ex: watch PornHub video > Cam Girl ad plays > Click and it takes you to their room)

In some instances it's not a Chaturbate ad, but a white label, and whoever runs the white label can choose what Models to push.

So basically, direct Chaturbate ads usually lead to the most popular room - popular in terms of viewer count - not earnings. (that's why there's a big crowd and not many tips - Chaturbate doesn't care if they tip in that particular room - they just want new users to sign up and eventually buy tokens)

White label ads usually lead to rooms that white label owners think will get new users to sign up - depending on their white label niche they pick a few models and rotate them.

What I'd do:

In your case, I'm thinking you probably have 100k+ followers (probably a lot more). Look up some Chaturbate white labels, dm them on X (or however you can contact them) and say "Hey, I'm so-and-so on Chaturbate. Can I give you a teaser to post before I go live? You can use my room for your white label ads anytime you'd like." (It's not embarrassing to ask - they'll know exactly what you want - they just need to see it works for them too, which is why they like to post on X first - it's free - as opposed to simply asking outright "Can you use your paid ads to pump my room the same way you do for models that have already proven to get new signups for your white label".

The goal isn't to rely on them doing X posts for you, however, if they see people are clicking on your teaser posts on their X page, they're much more likely to add you to their rotation of models they use for their paid ads that appear on other Tube-style porn sites. And that's one of the ways models can take control of this and get that critical mass of viewers in their room (it's just like how Chaturbate does it themselves - but you'd be doing it with a White Label owner in a quid-pro-quo way).

Also, you'll probably get back in the rotation of models that Chaturbate pumps themselves anyway, regardless if you do anything or not. It takes time, and this happens with accounts nearing 1mil followers - I can absolutely confirm that for you.

(for the big accounts around 1mil it would almost be a shame to NOT try contacting white label owners - they definitely aren't going to be pissed that a large model contacted them)

And you're right. It looks cool to have thousands of viewers even though we know it doesn't really change the bottom line.

It's for the energy. (this is why I screen record on a separate phone logged into a viewer account and leave the chat and everything else on so it captures the "8000 in room" or whatever. When you post that on X, everyone who sees it and knows about room numbers will be like "Well, that's a serious god damn room."

Light hearted boasting. Doesn't earn a penny though. (maybe it brings some in - but wouldn't rely on it)
