Ok, first off, I don't know why so many new girls feel the MFC profile is so important to the point where they freak out and search out people to pay to help them. The built in MFC profile editor is simple and easy to use, and you DON'T need some elaborate CSS design to set up your MFC profile. Just answer the questions in the "edit profile" section of your admin pages, or leave them blank if you don't want them to appear, and use the "customize profile" link in your admin pages to change the appearance as you desire. You don't HAVE to have a fancy designed profile to let your viewers know what you're all about. The most important aspect of your MFC career is being ON cam and entertaining, not so much what's on your profile...

BUT, if you do want something fancy for some reason, let this thread be the place that you ask questions and find help for it.

Attention all MFC profile editors! Post a reply here if you have advice, services for hire, or helpful links for HTML and css design.

A few girls have gone to this site for basic help with HTML and CSS - http://www.w3schools.com/

I am going to direct all new models to this thread for info since we see at least 1 per week popping up asking for desperate "HELP!" on their MFC profiles. :)

Take it away, folks!

Outside of the fact that the info header is missing (the one that identifies the account as a model vs. premium and has a link to MFC mail) the layout looks pretty cool. I firmly believe that section is important and should be left there.

the Status: ? Its in the left-down corner
Well there it is! Glad it's there. Unlikely people will notice it straight away (like me) but it's important. :)

This layout is pretty. Nicely done. :)

Can anybody shed any light on how the 'data-mfc-page' attribute in the HTML body tag is used?

I'm trying to solve a small formatting issue and noticed the profile page which is formatted correctly has the attribute data-mfc-page="userExistingCustomizedShow" set in the body, whereas if I use exactly the same HTML/CSS on a profile with the more common data-mfc-page="userShow" the layout is different. I assumed it might be a setting in the profile somewhere, but I've been unable to find it.

Thanks,

Rinky.

Can anyone help me CENTER my MFC profile. I am fine with making graphics and such, but I don't want to have to scroll to the left to see my graphic. Basically I want everything going down the middle of my profile, right in the center.

Thanks in advance

To horizontally align your image centered you can use the code below. It works for my MFC profile in Firefox at least. Didn't check with other browsers. My profile is also mostly HTML formatting. If you have custom CSS on your profile, you might need CSS horizontal alignment code instead.

Code:
Before your image code put:
<div style="text-align:center;">

And after your image code put:
</div>

Okay, so I'm a little confused. I see everyone posting HTML, but the advanced editor in MFC only seems to be allowing me to tweak the CSS. Can I do something hacky like put an < / style > in the CSS editor and add my own HTML beyond that point?

Disregard my previous post. Apparently, my brain wasn't working last night. I now see that you guys are all adding your html elements to the about me section under edit profile.

Thanks to all in this thread and the other various profile related ones. The information has been incredibly helpful!

My question is kinda confusing.. I did most of my stuff in paint and with HTML. I've noticed some girls have where it has our age/name/location/camscore etc not showing.
How can I move my first image to cover that? Is that possible? o_O

Go to Your css press advanced button and add:

Code:
#cam_score_container, #username_container {
    display:none !important;
}

If You want to hide all use in css:

Code:
#username_container, #body_type_container, #ethnicity_container, #hair_container, eyes_container, #weight_container, #height_container, #age_container, #city_container, #sexual_preference_container, #marital_status_container, #marital_status_container, #gender_container, #country_container, #gender_container, #eyes_container, #smoke_container, #drink_container, #drugs_container, #occupation_container, #favorite_food_container, #pets_container, #school_container, #automobile_container, #cam_score_container {
    display:none !important;
}

I am looking for some help with making a mouse-over drop-down list for my MFC profile. I know only very simple HTML commands.
What I'd like to do is create a list of videos, when you hover over a name of the video, a little gif and some description with a clickable link (to offline tip link) drops down.
Is this possible and can somebody maybe help me please?

I thought I was ready to edit my profile, got images ready and everything. Then as soon as I opened up the profile editor I felt like idiot. Especially since someone said if you get something wrong it eats your profile, :X

Searching through thread for hope! lol Thanks for making.

If you copy and paste your code from the profile editor into some word document, you will never lose it, even if your mistake eats it. :)

I actually took a chance and figured out that the html codes all work inside of the actual boxes like "about me" and such as that without having to mess with the css, lol

If anyone has the down time to check it out, let me know what you think. Still tweaking it, but yeah! I'm done for now!

Luckily I was up all night with damn allergies, so I had the time, :p
