Someone trick you into thinking you need to hold shift? Or is that a function on a laptop keyboard or something?
On a regular keyboard, just "prt scr" for print screen and paste into Paint. Crop if you like, save, voila!

I have a laptop and it requires I push fn (function) and print screen. I don't know about shift?

I've had keyboards that required shift. I've had keyboards that didn't.

Something I found out in a class I had to take was that if you hold ctrl prt scr, you get a screen shot of just the active window.

Yeah, it depends on the keyboard. On my previous computer, I had to hold shift. On this computer, I don't.

Holy shit I've been doing ctrl printscreen for YEARS! I can only assume it is from some point in history where it required ctrl printscreen in order to "screenshot" or not. Could Google to find out but meh

Just tested, it doesn't just do active window - does entire window so...

Not sure what everyone uses for an OS, but on Windows (at least my PCs), it is Alt+Print Screen to take an image of just my active window versus the whole desktop.

ok y'all, considering it is MY fault the original idea of this thread has gone astray....
I am newbie... i have only been online 3 or 4 times total, only a couple of hours TOTAL (i am nerdy shy and have to read everything i can about being a superstar camgirl before i really go for it )
