I would to introduce you guys to a new website of mine called cuddlecompanions.org

With this service you'll have a platform to be a cuddler, travel companion, tour guide, event companion, masseuse, and whatever else you'd like to add to your services and even create your own prices, the only catch is your services MUST be platonic. Cuddler prices start at a minimum of $80 an hour and can be as much as you find reasonable for your services. We are also international, cuddlers are accepted in most countries around the world.

Since cam girls already have great social skills and like pleasing people i thought this would interest a lot of you here. I'm set to fully launch the website in 2-3 weeks but we are looking to recruit as many quality cuddlers as we can at the moment. Everyone that signs up before launch receives 80% payout on the first 10 bookings.

To checkout our website visit: www.cuddlecompanions.org
To apply visit: www.cuddlecompanions.org/contact/apply
to checkout our standard prices visit: www.cuddlecompanions.org/prices/

If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you.

How's about you introduce yourself? Fake LA address and a Merritt Island FL phone number on the domain registration and no trademark registration seem a bit iffy.

That's not being very cuddly of you!

I take it you looked up the whois ? I definitely have a fake address and phone number there since my office is my home and i kinda like to remain a little anonymous to strangers, who doesn't ? You're right, no trademark since I'm just finishing up the website at the moment. Nothing iffy about the website though.

Well about myself, I'm a 26 year old programmer/designer with an idea turned into a service that i would like to share with clients and cuddlers a like. The goal is to provide a simple, quality service and grow just big enough to worry about trademarking the website, and setting up a real LA office, and a real FL phone number one day soon. :)

"Yeah let me just include my real location and offer to meet up for 'cuddling' to all my online stalkers" -No Camgirl Ever

Camgirls are usually very careful about security, irl and online. You're pursuing the wrong group of people here.

1. I would never share my location with random strangers- I don't think many of us would.
2. $80 an hour is not a lot of money- I know a girl personally who does this and makes triple that number and she advertises herself and keeps 100 percent. I'm sure if someone wanted to do this they could do the same thing.
3. 80 percent to a lot of us is great (for camsite purpose) but this is in person and risking safety, and sharing a profit with your'e site doesn't make sense since the girl is doing the work. Also you said 80% for the first 10 bookings, then what? the girl gets less... No thank you

4. Also you only pay a girl travel for more than 30 minutes which I find ridiculous- gas/transportation is expensive so any travel amount should be taken care of.

You're pursuing the wrong group of people here.
Yeah, this.

There is a very very small percentage of cam girls who also do meetups and escorting as part of their routine, but the majority of this community are very private about locations, and do not meet their members in person. Making the rates you mention on your price page from the comfort and safety of their own home.

Not saying it's impossible that a cam girl would utilize your concept, but it's not the correct market for your initial advertisements. Now, if it was a virtual cuddle session you were trying to sell, like, a completely platonic cam to cam concept, then you'd be in the right place.

I take it you looked up the whois ? I definitely have a fake address and phone number there since my office is my home and i kinda like to remain a little anonymous to strangers, who doesn't ?
Look into WHOIS Privacy Protection instead of listing fake information to seem more legit. The way you went about it makes you seem unpolished and uneducated in the ways of the grand ol' Internet. Not a great look for a startup looking for traction.

Ah, yes. Another person on the forum shamelessly plugs themselves and the girlies come out for the roast.

Agree with all the comments posted above, everything from the privacy concerns to the fact that you really should have gone with WHOIS protection, a voice app or burner phone with a different area code.

It's an interesting idea, and I know there's been other "non-escort-escort" type things like RentAFriend that seems to be doing good, and who doesn't like cuddling. I see some liability concerns, like there always is when you have anything like this. Sure, you can have airtight legal documents, but if *KNOCK ON WOOD* something does happen, you don't want to be dealing with a tragedy, an angry family and a news story that goes national. Just be careful with how you vet the customers.

Also, mental note for everyone here; Shameless plugs don't really work on this forum and always seems to turn into a roast of the original poster and the platform being promoted. Webmasters and company reps; take note.

I do remember reading an article about a site where you can get paid to just cuddle with people, and they're supposed to aware of the fact that it's cuddling and "no funny business." Lol. Ha! I think that's how they worded it. I'm not sure if it was the Rent-A-Friend website, or if it's a different site I'm thinking of. I believe I read about it on The Penny Hoarder site.

I've seen a lot of these cuddling businesses popping up, even advertising at/around my university (which I found interesting because there have been strip clubs & legal massage parlours who have tried that and gotten smacked down).

I have a question about it! How often do cuddlers get asked for sexual services, & have their been any instances of aggression/violence when clients realize it's not happening? Personally I always assumed "cuddling" was just a way to get around legal laws, lol. Even with Canada's comparatively lax sex work laws, you can't say "I'll fuck you for $xxx" so I figured it was like "the cuddle is $80, but if you want to add something naughty it's $xxx additional".

Another question: what do cuddlers wear?

I like the idea of being a professional cuddler but I'm not sure I'd ever actually do it.

Same here. I'd worry that someone would try to take it too far.

Those "kissing booths" they would feature at carnivals on T.V. shows (where you pay X dollars for the lady to kiss you)...has anyone here actually seen that before in real life? I've never seen it. I was watching an episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus' character was in charge of the kissing booth at Richie's school carnival.

Are you inferring that the points we have made to the OP are roasting? You yourself said you agree with our comments. So... enough of the generalized warnings. If a person comes here with a plug for a GOOD service that actually applies to the audience, and does so with flair and poise, they're met with respectable replies.

While most of us have said we aren't interested/aren't the right audience for this product I don't see any rude or unnecessary comments.

....

Something I'm curious about, OP says he's a mid 20s programmer. Does one young dude in the tech industry know enough about getting into this business to ensure safety/etc? Ready to have a team of lawyers and specialists help facilitate face-to-face meetups between customers and the cuddlers and deal with security, safety and legal issues that are 100% guaranteed to arise? This isn't just a plug and play website you're setting up here. It's a multi-faceted endeavor. Make sure you consider all aspects.

If by "people" you mean myself, why yes good sir you are slightly correct.

If by "pleasing people" you actually mean making dollars that is even more accurate. Buuut....

Agreeing with what everyone has said - $80 an hour really doesn't seem like a lot of dollars when I am going to have to touch someones body sweat and be close enough to smell corndog breath.

Honestly this seems like a way to charge someone for a cuddle then upsell once your there for some sexual services. Or like. Sugar daddy things. Like whats your price. Which was cooler because you can charge people what you want.

Eh i don't mind the criticism, and the the information in my WHOIS is almost identical to the "Domain Privacy" my host has to offer, not that i won't get it when it's time to renew the website. The site has literally only been running to the public for 4 days so I'm more concerned with finishing off some features and advertising. I've gotten a few inquires from this website so far so i think it was worth the posting.

Yes there are security concerns but cuddlers do not do sessions until a payment is made and we have the client's payment/credit card info, full names, telephone number, and email address. Policy also states that a cuddler may request a current photo of the client before a meeting to store for security purposes and the right to bail in the event the client is not who they say they are. My website is not an agency though, we do not send cuddlers to do any job, they are completely in control of what they want to do and if they want to see a proposed client. What some on this forum are imagining my website to be is actually something I'm very much against.

$80 is the minimum cuddlers can use as price option, there is no max on how much you can charge for a service though. A professional with a good profile should be charging at least $150 to $200 for their smallest services, especially if they find themselves in high demand. We cannot prevent cuddlers from offering sexual services outside of our website but we can surely remove them from the service if they are found guilty of doing so. Profiles are meant to stay very PG and offer only platonic services.

I like the idea of being a professional cuddler but I'm not sure I'd ever actually do it.

Most, if not all cuddling businesses I've come across are nothing more than agencies, meaning cuddlers are called and told to go somewhere for a meeting and that's that. Also the fact that most of those cuddlers only make about $35 an hour out of the whole thing is ridiculous. The cuddlers are also expected to deal with the money which is just shady business. My website is not an agency, we offers total freedom to deny/accept proposed bookings, set your own terms, availability, prices, list your own services, and only deal with clients that share their personal information for security purposes if they so choose.

I've only had a few bookings so far on this website but I've had previous experience with cuddler businesses. It's actually very rare that a cuddler is proposed something of a sexual nature, this is truly a niche market that's growing in numbers every day. If people wanted an illegal service, they can get one on Backpage within hours. I do not know of any aggression/violence horror stories coming out of the cuddling world yet. People seeking cuddlers or just platonic companionship in general are not seen as threatening by cuddlers but they should still exercise caution. When you checkout the website you'll find it has a big travel companion/tour guide component to it so I'm hoping cuddlers will get creative with their services and expand farther than a simple hourly priced cuddle.

Cuddlers must be wearing a minimum of a t-shirt and shorts for all sessions, doing otherwise will get them banned.

There's a similar local service that received a fair amount of local and national media attention when they launched. I've not heard much about them since, but they're still around, and certainly went about publicizing themselves in a much more professional manner.

To be honest, you aren't doing yourself any favours in trying to recruit contractors on a site frequented by sex workers if you want to be taken seriously with that whole PLATONIC thing, or by hosting profile photos like this, unless you count motorboating as PLATONIC.

Cuddleme looks like an agency so it's not very similar at all but i agree with the rest of your comment.
The cuddler you posted has not fully completed their profile yet and so we haven't taken any action to correct their profile as of yet.

Maybe i should have done some in depth research on this website but my impression was this is a website for cam girls to share their work and talk, couldn't find anything about sex workers in the information.

Most camgirls consider themselves sex workers. You might be thinking of Full Service sex workers.

From wikipedia:

A sex worker is a person who is employed in the sex industry.[1][2] The term is used in reference to all those in all areas of the sex industry including those who provide direct sexual services as well as the staff of such industries. Some sex workers are paid to engage in sex acts or sexually explicit behavior which involve varying degrees of physical contact with clients (prostitutes, escorts, some but not all professional dominants); pornographymodels andactors engage in sexually explicit behavior which are filmed or photographed. Phone sex operators have sexually-oriented conversations with clients, and do auditive sexual roleplay. Other sex workers are paid to engage in live sexual performance, such as web cam sex[3] and performers in live sex shows. Some sex workers perform erotic dances and other acts for an audience (striptease, Go-Go dancing, lap dancing, Neo-burlesque, and peep shows).Sexual surrogates often engage in sexual activity as part of therapy with their clients

Cuddling with someone I did not know very well (probably for months) would be incredibly uncomfortable for me. I don't know, maybe I'm too uptight.

Yes, I do agree with all those points. It's a shameless plug on AmberCutie though, so I kind of knew what to expect before opening the thread, it's so predictable here. Doesn't mean the points the models made a wrong, it's just very, very, expected here. Used to think it was just with entities where camming models aren't part of the team, but that Nood topic even kind of blew that misconception.

Not trying to hijack the topic here, I just had to comment, as I swear reading the comments today was daja vu almost, it's so predictable.

Also not trying to condescend, although it's probably coming off that way. Just pointing out a reoccurring trend I noticed. Hell, reason I didn't join the community a year ago. You girls can get very vicious with the rest of the industry. I've noticed that lurking here a year ago, and the trend continues today.

You're right, it is completely predictable when a person comes here with an idea that is not well thought out, or touts to be "the best" or "going to take over xyz site!" is mentioned.

We have strong opinions about what works and does not work in our eyes.

Speaking of... I wonder how HHC is doing... they were a site that opposes your "anti new site" logic.
