Hello. I found a place to rent with roomates. So instead of attending a studio I can be indie.

Should I ask if I can hire my own cable with fi? Should I tell them that I'm just a streamer gamer?

hi! i dont know how is in your country but in my country unfortunatly only the owner can ask for cable with wify .. on his name ..good luck hope u can fix it all ..

Depending on your country, you can use your renting contract go to the Internet Service Provider, or if your GSM network is in good standing and with good signal, and of course, not too expensive, you can use a GSM router.

It will be country/region specific on your ISP. Where I'm at, I've never had to provide some kind of financial proof for getting service. Both either in property I've owned, or rented. Just sign up and go.

If you're moving into a place that has internet provided, I'd suggest using a firewall and a VPN to protect your own computer(s) from others on the same network. But, you would also want to ensure the speed is what you need for quality streaming. If not, then you can call the provider and ask what's required for your own service. Any structural work would then need to be approved by property owner I'd guess.
