Completely agree that there needs to be a thorough overhaul of how reports are handled, rather than continuing with what's clearly a broken and unfair process.
And while reports go both ways (reporting models and members), given how much broadcasters have at stake, there ought to be consequences for members making reports that turn out to be unfounded.
But to me, how to apply this fairly is currently impossible, given the totally different approaches to site registration:
- broadcasters must submit legal documents that prove their age and full ID, and be approved.
- members don't need to provide anything, not even an email address. Just pick a username, and you're in.
If a model account is banned, that ban is linked to their ID, which is intended to prevent re-registering under a different name. Some may succeed, but it's only a matter of time before the link is made (like updating ID).
If a member account is banned, they can just create a new account (again, not even requiring an email address), and be active on the site again in 30 seconds. It happens all the time.
The only way you could make the consequences fair would be to require all members to submit their ID and have it verified, as well as models.
But can't see the site going down that path.
