Should Chaturbate stop allowing the community to report users?

It seems a lot of people feel they are banned because they have picked up an ill-tempered viewer who wants to see them fail. Should Chaturbate put a larger burden of proof on the accuser, do away with the ability to report broadcasters, or perhaps make you log in and have tokens to report a broadcaster for TOS violations?

It would seem, from the vast amount of threads about bans here, that their report/flag/ban system needs a complete overhaul. The way it looks as an outsider, is that they allow reports too easily, then don't take time to review before just tossing bans left and right. I'm not sure if a human even looks at a report before someone gets the boot.

It really bothers me. I once received a warning about offline payments and I have never even uttered the words on the site. Thankfully, it was dismissed but it seems wrong to have models on constant pins and needles.

I think the best solution would be to continue allowing members to report violations, BUT do a much better job vetting the reports before dropping the ban hammer.

Allowing the community to report violations is probably legitimately helpful more often than we realize. But I also have no doubt they get a lot of false (or at least mistaken) reports, too. If CB could thread that needle and figure out how to take advantage of the valid reports while more accurately disregarding the incorrect ones, that would be best.

Completely agree that there needs to be a thorough overhaul of how reports are handled, rather than continuing with what's clearly a broken and unfair process.
And while reports go both ways (reporting models and members), given how much broadcasters have at stake, there ought to be consequences for members making reports that turn out to be unfounded.
But to me, how to apply this fairly is currently impossible, given the totally different approaches to site registration:
- broadcasters must submit legal documents that prove their age and full ID, and be approved.
- members don't need to provide anything, not even an email address. Just pick a username, and you're in.

If a model account is banned, that ban is linked to their ID, which is intended to prevent re-registering under a different name. Some may succeed, but it's only a matter of time before the link is made (like updating ID).
If a member account is banned, they can just create a new account (again, not even requiring an email address), and be active on the site again in 30 seconds. It happens all the time.

The only way you could make the consequences fair would be to require all members to submit their ID and have it verified, as well as models.
But can't see the site going down that path.
