Hey everyone. If there's a thread like this I apologize; I just need to relate this experience and hopefully get some clarity on it.
Last night I did my first full show (well, second, but during my 'first' my internet went out and I had to call a tech lol). A model came into my room and started to PM me with some tips that were actually helpful, seemed really genuine. Then she pushed me to create a Skype so the "boss" could give me "promo". I've been warned off of Skype, so I stalled quite a bit, but the way she came across had me wondering . . . If I hadn't stopped to think I really may have fallen for it. I use MFC; has anyone had a similar experience? I believe I was being scammed, or the attempt was made anyway, and I'm not sure if I should report this person or what . . .
I probably sound so naive but the last thing I want to do is break any rules, accidentally do something illegal, lose money, etc.

What happened to you happens to a LOT of girls especially on mfc. You'll always get some of these scammy sounding "I have tips on camming and I can double your money!!" Types of people--no matter how long you've been camming too. sometimes (most times) it's a guy looking for free attention. Unless that account had a model profile I wouldn't even consider listening to any "tips" they had for me and I sure wouldn't want to agree to skype with a stranger even if they were a model. Ignore/ban is the best thing to do. I can't tell you whether this model was legit (I'm 95% leaning to 'no') but I can say this: The #1 resource of camming info can be found in the models only section once you get verified model status. It's a treasure trove of info written by hundreds of other camgirls and none of us will pressure you to go on Skype or lead you into weird, shady promo "bosses". Don't be too hard on yourself we've all made mistakes in the beginning!

That's the thing - this person really did have a model account. That's why I'm curious as to the protocol.
