So, i don't really know where this idea came from but it popped into my head and i got kind of excited about it. I had a few questions though... First of all i know that my client base would be gay men and I'm okay with that i understand that i would have to be okay with doing some gay acts with dildo or fingers or what ever. But should I pretend to be gay, or tell them that I'm straight and play up the idea of them like winning me over or something?

Another question, is the payment fairly substantial in the long run? I'm sure in the beginning its going to be pretty garbage until i get better but the reason why I'm doing this is because I'm a personal trainer and I'm going to school full time and i just don't have the time i need in order to make money doing training. To make enough money being a personal trainer i have to devote six days a week with split shifts... If building up your cam business is the same then its not for me. I'm trying to find a way to make a fair amount of money with essentially a part time position.

And finally.... Anyone who has any idea on this one would be appreciated, would i approach a gay male audience differently then i would want a cam girl to approach me? I love to be seduced and the costumes and strip tease and what not, and when i watched some cam girls just now and in the past ( watching now to get some ideas on what to do, in the past for fun [; ) the girls were clothed, all be it very sexy and revealing. The men i just saw were naked and bearing it all in the public room. That seems kinda counter productive to getting the private shows, which I'm assuming is the way you get paid?

Thanks in advance, will continue to browse the forums to figure out if this is for me or not. But i do love to be sexy and seductive, i also love attention, not going to lie... But most importantly I want to do this for the money.

Disclaimer, I'm not a male model or gay but here's some food for thought.

Some of the biggest gay stars in porn are actually straight and some don't even have gay sex, it's just simulated to look like it is. Even when this is found out in some cases gay men like them even more.
I guess you can put this down to being similar in the way that some guys like to think they have magical powers to convert lesibians into straight women, that some gay guys would like to think they have powers to convert a straight guys into a gay guys.

So I don't think saying you're straight will hurt, in fact it might help to stay in a straight persona and in the worst case you say that you got converted if it doesn't work out. :p

The rest of your questions I have no idea about.

Since I'm not a guy, I'm going to answer as best that can for male and female cam models.

But should I pretend to be gay, or tell them that I'm straight and play up the idea of them like winning me over or something?
While I think that you should only ever do what you feel is comfortable, your online persona can be something very different than every day life you. If you stick with pretending to be something that you are not used to, will you be prepared to to separate cam you from every day you? For instance once you log offline, will you still be thinking about online you? The succession of many models can range from having a certain look, a certain area of expertise in fetish, or just being themselves. Whatever you decide, I think it will have to be a choice that will be a healthy one that makes you enjoy camming when you are offline as well and not a "man I have to do this online, I really don't want to."

is the payment fairly substantial in the long run?
With web modeling, since we are not hourly or salary wages, earnings per hour and per day will be different. Maybe I'm just always hopeful and too positive because I do always think that there is always to money to be made online. I would like to hear a male model's perspective on this, and if they can share what earnings are like for them if they don't mind.

I'm trying to find a way to make a fair amount of money with essentially a part time position.

What would you consider a fair amount with part time position? What is part time for you? 25 hrs a week? Maybe you could write down these figures and get an estimate of how much you would need to earn in an hour/day to meet your goal. If you are devoted to making a steady income online, depending on the website, your income may not be taxed. It will be your responsibility to set aside earnings and pay off the tax that was not collected in the year. I'm with 3 websites and none of them tax my income so I'm not even sure if there is a website that exists that taxes your income for you.

Don't have a ton of time right this sec so I'll say what I can now and check back.

Male CB model of ~2.5 years here.

Sexual orientation doesn't matter. I tell my clients that, verbatim, "my sexual orientation doesn't matter, yours does." If they're attracted to you, they are. If they're not, win them over with your personality. Your sexual orientation is none of their business and is not a factor unless you are doing some form of fetish role-play (which, pro-tip, you should never do unpaid or in public chat).

Also, please understand that you don't have to perform "gay acts" to be a model. The glory of being an independent model is that you get to shape your entire business, set your own hours and set your own limits. Just because everyone else on the site is a poorly-lit, head-cropped-off torso just whacking off and shoving potatoes in their butts doesn't mean that you have to be. In fact, this is actually really good incentive not to do these things - differentiate yourself from the pack, focus on what your strengths are as a performer and play to that. Remember, as a model, you are an entertainer first and foremost. You can do whatever you want in your shows, but if you can't keep your room entertained and locked in (in whatever form that might be), you're screwed.

As for income, @LLNinergirl nailed it. Your income will vary. A lot. Some nights, you will make a bunch; some nights, you might walk away from a 4+ hour shift with absolutely nothing. This is a reality in the business that one should definitely prepare for in advance. It's great that you have other jobs, that will help a lot to have something to fall back on. While you have the luxury of setting up your own business your way and setting your own hours and shifts, there's a lot of backend work that comes with that as well.

Last footnotes before I run for now:
Anyone who has any idea on this one would be appreciated, would i approach a gay male audience differently then i would want a cam girl to approach me?
Just treat people as people. I like to think about it this way: you know when you sorta "joke-flirt" with friends? Do that with everyone that comes in your room. You're not going to find your soulmate on this site and neither are they, we all know that. This is all good fun, so just charm the living fuck out of them - gender regardless. If the concept of fake-seducing another man in a convincing manner is off-putting for you, you're not gonna make it here.

Thanks for taking the time to ask, I hope I was of some help. If you have any more specific questions, feel free to let me/us know. Welcome to the forum!

Chaturbate male model of 8-9 months so far, and often in top 5 of the male section. so i guess i can give my 2 cent on this.
First of all i know that my client base would be gay men and I'm okay with that i understand that i would have to be okay with doing some gay acts with dildo or fingers or what ever
you dont have to do dildo's or fingers or anything you dont want, but when that's said, it Will make more people come in to your room.
But should I pretend to be gay, or tell them that I'm straight and play up the idea of them like winning me over or something?
the thing i have seen work for me, is being honest in every regard, if you cam on a regulair basic then the people watching you will properly get to know you pretty well, and will figuere out whether not you are gay or straight, if you choice to fake it or not.
If building up your cam business is the same then its not for me. I'm trying to find a way to make a fair amount of money with essentially a part time position.
depending on what you thing a fair amounght of money is, i've seen people that daily run about 3000-4000tks in =150-200dollars as a male performer, which is pretty good. but thats people that have been on the site for years and have a Estabilicede fanbace and lots of high tippers.
And finally.... Anyone who has any idea on this one would be appreciated, would i approach a gay male audience differently then i would want a cam girl to approach me?
okay so i guess i first want to split this up in 2 caterogies. there is people that like big strong guys with lots of mussles(properly those you should go for since you are a trainer) and there is people that likes "twinks" small and skinny guys(like me lol) and then there is ofcourse people that like both, and other stuff, but this is just to simplyfi it a little.
i would guess the only way for you to reach out to these guys is by them finding you, and the way to approach then is just as you would everyone else. i dont think there is any "secret sauce" to get them to love you or anything, if they find you and like you then will stick with you, if not, well to bad.
That seems kinda counter productive to getting the private shows, which I'm assuming is the way you get paid?
i would say the best way to do a show on Chaturbate is doing it public and set whats called goals, you can do so people can get privat shows, but then everyone else in the room will most likely leave because they cant see it and there for have no reason to be in there, also a reason why some of the normal people that do privat shows are at the buttom of the page. when thats said, there is models that do privat shows, but dont do them when they are in the middle of a normal show, but do it so a person can schedule one. that way you wont desturbe the room while doing a normal show.

my final note is to be honest and upfront with people, dont lie because people will see through that and leave your room, and not come back.
i hope this helped a little, sorry for spelling errors and stuff like that. and ofcourse if you have any questions then feel free to send them :)

uhhm so i'm normaly online for about 4 hours a night, and make from 2000-3000tks that night. but i would guess other people could make more, since all im doing is sitting and talking with people, and putting shoes on my head lol

edit. i also have bad days where i walk away with almost nothing, but i still have a great day on cam, so thats more what counts for me, then earnings.

Chaturbate is currently the best place as a male broadcarster.
when thats said there is also Cam4 but people spend less money there and your best bet on earning a decent amounght of money is to win there competition, which you can read more about on there website.
but i would go for Chaturbate if i where you.
