The Internet
I've been watching a lot of Justis League, Batman videos, and all that stuff. But a lot of it was before my time, and so far I've only seen what has been on Netflix. So I thought I'd ask you guys, because I'm sure there's another nerdy fan like me out there of this sort of thing.

Are there any good series or shows I should download?

My favorite one by Batman so far has been "The Mask of the Phantasm"

:D

The entire DCAU was fantastic, how I miss it so.

Batman the Animated Series
Superman Adventures
Batman the New Adventures
Superman/Batman
Static Shock
The Zeta Project
Batman Beyond
Justice League
Justice League Unlimited.

If you are going for movies, DC has yet to put out a bad one.
Superman Doomsday
Batman Gotham Knight
Green Lantern First Flight
Justice League the New Frontier
Batman The Red Hood
Justice League Crisis on Two Earths
Wonder Woman
Batman Superman Public Enemies

Marvel heroes kinda lack the animated glory that DC does, but as far as DC animation goes all of those are extremely entertaining to watch, particularly if you are a fan of American heroes. (On a side not my love for American heroes probably explains my distaste for Japanese heroes.)

Also if you want some pretty good Marvel, check out the X-Men from the later 80's. Since then all they have put out is crap.

I liked Wolverine and the X-Men, but other than that I can't really argue with you.

all marvel has put out is crap? whaaaat?

X-men animated series from the early 90s easily one of the best cartoons of all time, I have 4 of the 5 dvd's all more than worth it.

Ultimate Avengers is an awesome cartoon with the ending fight making everything worth it

Hulk Versus is awesome. Get Hulk vs thor which is just one awesome bad ass fight in Valhalla, and Hulk vs Wolverine where Deadpool will make you crack a rib from laughing so hard.

Heroes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Hayden, that is all, but really a great show to bad its ending.

The latest Marvel Animated stuff is freaking great. Doctor Strange was awesome. Iron Man was good. Avengers and the sequel were good. Hulk vs is great. Next Avengers was fun.
I liked X-Men Evolution for what it was.
The Iron Man animated show is interesting. I've only seen a couple eps, but I'm going to watch more (this is also on Netflix Watch Instantly).

Well it's not licensed by DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, Vertigo (technically DC) or Image, but Misfits on BBC is one of the best super hero based shows I've ever seen. I wish I could find a proper YouTube clip from the actual show, but alas I fail. Other than that Batman:TAS & X-Men:TAS are two I grew up on so of course I will always love them. EDIT: Also Justice League from the 2000s is pretty bitching.

And unless I've never EVER read anything to do with the movie before hand, comic book wise, I get pissed. So far only Jonah Hex (which I'm now in the process of trying to find/read) & Hellboy.

Any bookstore should have the DC Showcase of Jonah Hex for like 15 bucks American. (I dont know where you are from so I dont wanna just assume youre American) or Amazon.com will have it for like 8. Its worth picking up to get the back story.

I'm gonna have to look into Misfits, I've become a big fan of British tv shows lately.

I didn't care for Jonah Hex, it could be partly due to the low quality copy I got, but I don't think that's the whole reason.

I would have liked Heroes to have gotten one more season just to give them a chance to wrap the story up. But perhaps they can pull a Firefly and make a movie out of it a few years later instead.

I think they're supposed to release a TV movie to wrap up the story.

Well thanks for the info, last I heard of heroes was the series got cancelled and the only positive I could think was "at least I wont have to watch the last 5 minutes of chuck every monday."

What's wrong with Chuck? It's a little corny, but think about it ... Doesn't every geek wish he could be a superhero AND get the hot girl.

Do not bother with "Planet Hulk." Its really not worth your money, the animation isn't even all that well done, and the story line is LOOSELY based on the story from the comics. It's just not worth the $20.

I didn't think it was that bad, but then again I didn't pay for it so that might have had something to do with it.
