First off let me say, I'm not the biggest spiderman fan and never really was. Secondly I enjoyed this version. It actually follows the comic for those of you who read them or know them. I saw it in 3D and it wasn't bad. Not like the usual 3D movies that are crappy and too dark to even see, this was good. I recommend it. Marvel Studios does awesome work oh and Stan Lee makes his usual appearance in all the Marvel movies but this time was really funny. You'll LYAO when you see it.

I watched it yesterday, and after seeing this movie I have hope Carnage will show up in the future. This looks like a much darker world.

If there's Carnage then there will be Venom and I can only hope that story is better told than Venom playing 2nd fiddle to the sandman. I may eventually see this version, the ones I normally attend these movies refuse to see it so...

I was thinking they should ditch Venom, and just have him be the result of a lab experiment. I do not want anybody to remember emo-spiderman or how horrible Venom was. Venom requires careful setup and good writing, but Carnage just requires a criminally insane test subject.

being a comic book Spider-Man fan, I'll say that I enjoyed this latest movie.
it doesn't follow the comics exactly (none of them do) but it was similar enough that I didn't complain too much.

I'm just hoping that Disney doesn't start to interfere with Marvel's work. That would be very disappointing to me, although I am very excited to see what great affects Disney Studios contributed to the Marvel Universe.

If Avengers and The Earth's Mightiest Heroes animated cartoon are any signs of how Disney will handle Marvel it feels like the only thing that has changed has been the budget Marvel has to work with. I remember when Disney first bought Marvel and people were afraid that 1. Marvel would become too kiddy and 2. We'd be seeing nothing but crossovers with Mickey and Wolverine teaming up. Neither are the case I am happy to say.

If they are going to already retell the story of Spiderman then I'd want them to retell the story of Venom too and do him justice and a Venom/Carnage team up in maybe a 2 parter really intrigues me. More so than Just have Carnage on his own and ignoring his origin. And what other villains does he have? Mysterio? Goblins? Kraven?

it feels like this movie is either loved or hated and no in between all depends on who I have talked to.
