Was just wondering about time zones with people. I work rotating shifts so tend to go to MFC at different times of the day and in many ways site has a different vibe to me at different times of day. Do models feel that or they just have there schedule and stick to it? Do you work to your own time zone all the time? The sort of crazy international side of MFC suits my life musing on points like do cam girls target time slots in own time zone? Or just when they have time in life or go for a peak sign in of member period?

Hands up there is an alterative motive there are some very hot ladies I would very much like to see but no matter what time I log on never seem to catch them online. I know message and ask but oh seems a little forward. So usual questions how do you work time zones and am interested to hear if people that sign in model or member at different times find how the site changes.

Thanks for any input

It's really hard to live outside my timezone. I need to be awake during normal business hours, because otherwise I can't get anything offline done. Like, calling the internet company when things go wrong. Or making doctor's appointments. Or shopping for things I need (you know, groceries, clothes...)

So, since in order to properly live, I have to be awake and free during my time-zone's normal business hours, I can't stay up all night. I compromise. I sleep 4am-noon. But, I'm trying to cut even that back, cause I always feel like too much of the day is already gone by the time I'm ready to do anything. I need to start sleeping 3am-10:30 instead.

I feel timezones are an important factor to consider when setting up a schedule.

For example, around 7pm PST on a Friday night, every model and her mother is going to be online. But a heck of a lot more members are online, too. If you log in around 3am PST on a Tuesday morning, most of the popular models will probably not be on and you'll be dealing with an entirely different crowd of people.

On some websites, like MFC, having a firm schedule is considered to be very important. When I cammed on MFC, if I didn't get on by 5pm PST, I could consider my shift to be wasted. On other websites, like Streamate, having a firm schedule is not as important. Of course, there will be exceptions no matter where you go.

I work within the EST. I currently live in Florida CST. I move rather often (in different time zones), so it is easier for me to stick to a schedule based on one time zone for consistency.
Also-When I originally started camming I lived in EST...so it's just easier for me personally. However, since MFC (the site I work the most on) is on PST I run all my deals/specials/raffles etc based on that.

I'm on EST, so whenever I post a room topic, news feed message, or tweet about my times online, I say '__ PM EST'. Or if I've used up most of my room topic space, I'll put 'ET'.

I think that's way more important than most folks think. A time, like "2AM" is totally meaningless without the time zone. I appreciate it when people online give that little extra effort. :)

Also with twitter and the like, it would be ideal to say you will be on in x hours as well as the time. It takes out the time zone confusion.

I use to work graveyard shift. 12am-6am pacific. I liked it because I was always in the top row. However, my sanity was leaving me. Waking up when it's dark, never seeing the sun, couldn't run errands, it was awful.
Now I work in the afternoons my time. My placement on the page is much lower, but I am consistent and my camscore is at its highest. :)

As a member on Eastern Standard Time, I'm lucky to have an understanding regular model who will get on a couple hours early for our regular privates. As she is on Pacific Standard Time, she's usually on pretty late! I do find that the site really does come alive later at night, but sadly I'm rarely on then. :crybaby:

Thanks to all who kicked in. Was talking with some UK models on this subject and as Lady L said for them life sort of gets turned up side down trying to catch USA time zones I know general -5 on East coast and -8 on West coast from UK time while you can live in a bubble in what ever zone you want banks, dry cleaners and what ever service does not. Very good point on tweets etc not giving local time just saying “ on in 30mins” makes it so much easier to follow without brain ache trying to figure out zones.
Thanks for the perspective on a 24/7 revolving world.
