Comes out today on 360, PS3, & PC. So, who other than me & SweeptheLeg has a weird Transforming boner for this game? Optimus can call in Metroplex as a sort of "air" support... Grimlock! Levels tailored to each Transformer's strengths, be it stealth, air, rage, whatever. Grimlock can only transform when enraged, so he needs things to smash. Oh, and you can play Bruticus, the Constructions combined form, as well. So you can smash bigger bots, I guess?
The first game, War for Cybertron followed a 2-sided split narrative, start as Decepticon, then on to Autobot. I think this time, you start as Bumblebee, then move onto another character, which the sides of the war not as distinctly separated, but mixed together in the story. Don't particularly need to have played War, but it helps, I imagine. All ya really need to know, is things is fucked, get the fuck off the planet.
And there's a demo out, so try that, if you're iffy.
Also, as an FYI, if you are lucky enough (ha) to have Wal-Marts near by... the 360 version comes with a copy of War all the time (not just a preorder thing), so there's that?
