Hi everyone,

I'm involved in developing an interactive toy designed to help cam models interact with fans during camming more effectively. To avoid any advertising, I won't mention the brand name here.

For some time now, I've been following the discussions on Reddit and this forum, seeing many cam models share the frustrations and challenges they've encountered when using the interactive toy. This made me think about whether there's a significant gap between the product developers' understanding of cam models' needs and their actual experiences in their daily work.

This is one of the reasons I'm here: not to promote any product, but to better understand the real conversations, challenges, and needs within the community. I prefer learning from real-world experience rather than relying solely on the company's official perspective.

I'm very grateful for the openness and honesty shown here and look forward to learning more.

You're not going to win that war. Lovense is the industry standard and only they can address the issues we have and they have done so in releasing the Lush Mini and the Lush Anal.

While not a 100% fix to the situations at hand, it is better than what was happening in years past where there wasn't an avenue for feedback on toys. Every app across every site reacts to the toys and you'd be hard pressed to get any recognition.

In fact, the very first interactive toys -- the Freestyle W and other Ohmibod products were shoved down a hole because of the patent laws in Japan.

Edit to add: At any rate, we need money. Not people trying to figure out how to solve problems they can't fix. I'm not trying to be rude but none of us are sitting around waiting for something better to happen. We're in the here and now and the here and now is we need money.

I don’t really see this as a war, to be honest.

It’s not about trying to “win” against anyone. I just think there’s room in the space for more options and different approaches. If someone can build something that genuinely helps models and gives them more flexibility, that’s not a bad thing.

At the end of the day, more choices usually benefit the people actually using the products. Models should be able to choose tools that fit their needs, their budgets, and their style of streaming.

Lovense has definitely set the standard, and I respect that. I just don’t think having alternatives automatically means it’s a fight; it could simply mean healthy evolution in the space.

Isn’t having more choices better for models? I’m a bit surprised that there doesn’t seem to be much support for that idea.

I'm not going to speak for anyone else, just myself when I say this next part:

I have spent years struggling with guys who love it and guys who hate interactive toys. I have had to jump through hoops, been asked to show my spleen so that guys know the toy is inside or to flop around like a fucking fish on crack because "oh your pussy should be soooo wet with this one token tip". I actually had fake Lush reaction in my tip menu and men tipped it so hard they gave me a migraine headache because I'm not a woodpecker and I don't get to wrap my tongue around my brain to prevent CTE with each tip.

You're barking up the wrong tree. What I want is for that idiotic system to not be necessary at all. I'm an OG cam girl when that stuff wasn't available and there's a lot of the tease element that gets removed with these toys. You don't know what it's like to be a woman who has issues with how things react in the vagina. There's no way that in the years it would take to develop something like that that you won't have thrown money out of the window because the industry moved on to AI or VR or whatever makes incels feel powerful.

Fuckin NAILED IT! 💯

Thank you for your candor. I truly appreciate it, and I can sense it's based on personal experience.

You're absolutely right; this industry is constantly evolving. Artificial intelligence, virtual reality, new profit models… everything is developing rapidly. I understand how interactive toys will change the dynamics of manipulation and control. This perspective is important.

I'm not trying to advocate that more technology is always better. What I really want to understand is the opposite: what aspects feel bad, what aspects feel unnecessary, and what aspects actually make the job harder rather than easier.

So I'd like to ask frankly: if you were to redesign interactive toys from a model's perspective, what would they look like? Or would you rather they didn't exist at all? I'm open to hearing your thoughts.

Please feel free to speak your mind.

What I don’t fully understand is why so many cam models continue to buy and use interactive toys with their fans during camming. There must be reasons that I’m not seeing yet.

Because it’s extremely lucrative, and in some sites even expected.

Thank you for your reply. So i can understand it this way: that using toys during live shows really depends on the individual. Some models can rely purely on their personality and presence to attract and retain a large audience, so toys may be optional for them. But for others, interactive toys can significantly boost their income.

The reason I’m here is to hear from those of you who actually use these toys. If you were the one designing interactive toys for cam shows, what would you do differently? What would you want to see?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

what are you trying to solve for? What is the unique advantage that your product has to offer?

This just looks like a vibrator?

This is a good question. Thank you LaceyRoyce.

On the surface, it does resemble a typical vibrating toy. However, when designing this product, our primary concern wasn't appearance, but rather the product's reliability in live-streaming scenarios.

On platforms like Reddit, many users have reported that the exposed "tail" of some popular live-streaming interactive toys develops cracks or even breaks after a period of use. Out of a desire to learn, we disassembled and analyzed some products, discovering that many had an internal tail structure made of nylon material with internal grooves to embed the wires, relying on the nylon itself to bear the stress generated by repeated bending.

The problem is that nylon has a limited fatigue life. After approximately a thousand bending cycles, microcracks may appear, eventually leading to breakage. This isn't something that can be completely solved by simply thickening the material; the structural design itself is flawed.

Therefore, we adopted a different approach in our design.

We internally reinforced the wire structure with steel wire, transferring the bending stress to a metal support layer. This allows the metal to bear the fatigue cycles, rather than leaving the nylon to brute-force the load. The bending life of steel wire is far greater than that of nylon, making the tail section more durable and less prone to fatigue breakage from daily use, resulting in greater long-term stability.

Structural reliability in high-frequency usage scenarios is a core issue we prioritized for our models.

After resolving this fundamental structural issue, we also made further optimizations based on real-world live-streaming usage scenarios, making it more worry-free and effortless to use:

1️⃣ Lightweight to almost imperceptible (0.16 LB / 72.6 g)
Weighing only about the equivalent of two strawberries. No burden even after prolonged wear; even several hours of live-streaming won't cause extra stress from the equipment.

2️⃣ Small size, high power
Vibration frequency up to 7500 times/minute. Lightweight doesn't mean compromising strength.

2️⃣ A More Snug Entry Diameter (8mm / 0.31 inch)
The optimized narrow opening design allows for smoother insertion, a closer fit, reduced discomfort, and enhanced overall comfort.

3️⃣ No frequency throttling even with low battery
Even when the battery is nearly depleted, it maintains high-intensity output, avoiding the embarrassment of "dropping out" at crucial moments.

4️⃣ Stable Bluetooth connection (50m / 164ft)
Utilizing a high-specification Bluetooth chip, it has strong anti-interference capabilities, reducing the risk of disconnection and making interaction smoother.

5️⃣ IPX7 Fully Waterproof
Safe to wash, hygienic, and suitable for frequent use.

6️⃣ G-Spot + C-Spot Dual-Zone Stimulation
Coveres dual-zone feedback, not limited to a single area, adaptable to different body structures and preferences.

7️⃣ Optimized for Live Streaming Interaction
Supports live streaming interaction logic, enhancing audience participation and improving the interactive experience.

8️⃣ Silent Design (<45dB)
Lower than the ambient noise of a library, preserving the ambiance for greater privacy and immersion.

9️⃣ Long Battery Life
50 minutes of charging provides 5 hours of use, meeting the needs of extended online use without frequent interruptions.

🔟 Human-Safe Silicone Material
Made with high-quality human-safe silicone, soft and comfortable to the touch, free of harmful substances, safely conforms to the body, and suitable for extended use.

Therefore, the differentiation of this product lies not in its "different appearance," but in its upgraded internal structure and optimized live streaming scenarios. It's not just a simple vibrating toy; it's a more durable and stable device redesigned for high-frequency interactive use.

If you have any other ideas or suggestions regarding the design of this product, please feel free to share them. We'd love to hear different perspectives.

That toy looks like a torture device. No two clits or vaginal openings line up the same way and the clit is extremely sensitive once you get under the hood.

That toy is a physical representation of a dude sticking one finger in the hole and smashing the clit with his thumb like a rat trying to get a treat in a science experiment.

Are there any women on your team?

The idea of solving the breakage/connectivity issue is good I guess, the apps etc will all need to work pretty much the same or better than Lovense and feel familiar.

Lovense has a reputation for being … defensive of their hold on the industry. So be ready for that.

I’d focus on that and not get too hung up on everything else. Simplify the design for a range of bodies- the reason the lush is so popular is most people with vaginas can use it. It can be moved around, repositioned.

Start with a g-spot specific toy IMO as your flagship product then expand. The toy you show will not fit variations in anatomy or clits.

Hire a cis female sex educator or similar professional as a consultant on the design.
