Hi everyone,

I'm involved in developing an interactive toy designed to help cam models interact with fans during camming more effectively. To avoid any advertising, I won't mention the brand name here.

For some time now, I've been following the discussions on Reddit and this forum, seeing many cam models share the frustrations and challenges they've encountered when using the interactive toy. This made me think about whether there's a significant gap between the product developers' understanding of cam models' needs and their actual experiences in their daily work.

This is one of the reasons I'm here: not to promote any product, but to better understand the real conversations, challenges, and needs within the community. I prefer learning from real-world experience rather than relying solely on the company's official perspective.

I'm very grateful for the openness and honesty shown here and look forward to learning more.

You're not going to win that war. Lovense is the industry standard and only they can address the issues we have and they have done so in releasing the Lush Mini and the Lush Anal.

While not a 100% fix to the situations at hand, it is better than what was happening in years past where there wasn't an avenue for feedback on toys. Every app across every site reacts to the toys and you'd be hard pressed to get any recognition.

In fact, the very first interactive toys -- the Freestyle W and other Ohmibod products were shoved down a hole because of the patent laws in Japan.

Edit to add: At any rate, we need money. Not people trying to figure out how to solve problems they can't fix. I'm not trying to be rude but none of us are sitting around waiting for something better to happen. We're in the here and now and the here and now is we need money.

I don’t really see this as a war, to be honest.

It’s not about trying to “win” against anyone. I just think there’s room in the space for more options and different approaches. If someone can build something that genuinely helps models and gives them more flexibility, that’s not a bad thing.

At the end of the day, more choices usually benefit the people actually using the products. Models should be able to choose tools that fit their needs, their budgets, and their style of streaming.

Lovense has definitely set the standard, and I respect that. I just don’t think having alternatives automatically means it’s a fight; it could simply mean healthy evolution in the space.

Isn’t having more choices better for models? I’m a bit surprised that there doesn’t seem to be much support for that idea.

I'm not going to speak for anyone else, just myself when I say this next part:

I have spent years struggling with guys who love it and guys who hate interactive toys. I have had to jump through hoops, been asked to show my spleen so that guys know the toy is inside or to flop around like a fucking fish on crack because "oh your pussy should be soooo wet with this one token tip". I actually had fake Lush reaction in my tip menu and men tipped it so hard they gave me a migraine headache because I'm not a woodpecker and I don't get to wrap my tongue around my brain to prevent CTE with each tip.

You're barking up the wrong tree. What I want is for that idiotic system to not be necessary at all. I'm an OG cam girl when that stuff wasn't available and there's a lot of the tease element that gets removed with these toys. You don't know what it's like to be a woman who has issues with how things react in the vagina. There's no way that in the years it would take to develop something like that that you won't have thrown money out of the window because the industry moved on to AI or VR or whatever makes incels feel powerful.

Thank you for your candor. I truly appreciate it, and I can sense it's based on personal experience.

You're absolutely right; this industry is constantly evolving. Artificial intelligence, virtual reality, new profit models… everything is developing rapidly. I understand how interactive toys will change the dynamics of manipulation and control. This perspective is important.

I'm not trying to advocate that more technology is always better. What I really want to understand is the opposite: what aspects feel bad, what aspects feel unnecessary, and what aspects actually make the job harder rather than easier.

So I'd like to ask frankly: if you were to redesign interactive toys from a model's perspective, what would they look like? Or would you rather they didn't exist at all? I'm open to hearing your thoughts.

Please feel free to speak your mind.

What I don’t fully understand is why so many cam models continue to buy and use interactive toys with their fans during camming. There must be reasons that I’m not seeing yet.

Because it’s extremely lucrative, and in some sites even expected.

Thank you for your reply. So i can understand it this way: that using toys during live shows really depends on the individual. Some models can rely purely on their personality and presence to attract and retain a large audience, so toys may be optional for them. But for others, interactive toys can significantly boost their income.

The reason I’m here is to hear from those of you who actually use these toys. If you were the one designing interactive toys for cam shows, what would you do differently? What would you want to see?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
